He loved my girls too like his own. He was a good second dad to them. They miss him too. Pour Grand babies called him Pap. And he loved it and them. I’ll never have another Kenny. But I’ll see him again. He’s waiting for me In Heaven. Soul mate for life. Right before he passed I prayed for him with my youngest daughter. He hasn’t been able to move but he did when I said let’s pray baby. He leaned his head to me and we touched foreheads. He squeezed Kenzie had because he was letting her know he knew she was there. I believe he was waiting for me to say those words. He had tears fall from his eyes. And one last time tried to say “wuv you” then he let go.. I’ll love him forever

My parents had the perfect, i mean perfect marriage. I lost my Mom 3 years ago to Alzheimer's, and my Dad stood by her at every step. When your loved ones have Alzheimer's or Dementia, you don't just grieve at the end. You start the grieving process as soon as you hear the news. My Dad knew for quite a while, years. He noticed all the little things, but kept it to himself. Maybe because he didn't want to believe it himself. He told my brother, then finally me, 4 years before she passed. He made sure that before she really showed any signs to us that they were set up in a very nice retirement community with full nursing should either one need it. When he couldn't take care of her anymore, she went to the Alzheimer's unit, still very nice, for a year or so, then to the medical facility. It was so heart wrenching to see someone who was not only your mother, and one of your best friends, go through something to awful, so demeaning. I'm so sorry for rambling. I haven't seen this movie in so long and it always reminds me of them, although my Dad is 90 now, of sound body and mind, and has a wonderful girlfriend that he's had for a couple of years at the same facility. Life does go on of course. Hold your loved ones dear and hug your Mom's for me ok?

I listened to this song for the first time 20 years ago and it meant a lot to me as I was going through life patches of undestined relationship.. and The Notebook, was the film that has made me felt stronger to hold on to true love even though at the end, it is just not yours to keep or hold on to. I listened to this song for the first time 20 years ago and it meant a lot to me as I was going through life patches of undestined relationship.. and The Notebook, was the film that has made me felt stronger to hold on to true love even though at the end, it is just not yours to keep or hold on to. So if the memories we have can make me stronger as a person.. I'll hang on to it.. while hold my head high to the future.
