7 months ago I met a lady & simply put it's like I came home from being divorced for almost 40 years. We grew up in the same area & went to the same school but never met. Her sister, my seamstress, introduced us & it went from there. She's a widow of 5 years with 4 kids, me with 5 & we're in our 70s. If there's a regret it's that our time is short. If anyone will tell you there's no such thing as 70-year-old teenagers we're the reason there is!
What could've been wonderful turned to walking away. How many of you have found someone who's gung-ho on remaking you into someone they think you should be only to find out it's not going to happen. I'm in my 70s, been divorced going on 40 years & not about to change for anyone. In this particular case it's religion, she's far more religious than I'll ever be & that really gets to her. What ever happened to taking someone for who & what they are & being content with it?

I will have to watch this again, once I have recovered sufficiently from the last time I watched it. I related to this movie so much because I took care of my husband until his death. When you love someone as she loved him, it isn't a chore, I know this for a fact. I wanted him so badly to decided to live, but I know the pain that comes with this kind of a disability, both emotionally and physically. This movie broke my heart all over again, I actually found it hard to separate my own life and emotions from this movie. He says, "don't think of me too often," I can tell you for a fact, she will think of him every day of her life for the rest of her life.

I met the love of my life and he was involved in a car accident which left him a paraplegic, one set back after the other and he had to have both legs amputated. I never cry while watching movies but I could not held my tears back. This is so emotional for me. Even while writing this I have wet eyes. Losing your loved ones is the hardest thing one can ever through. I wish there was a happy ending. Some magic or miracle that they both could enjoy each one's presence. I wish no one has to go this painful experience.
I loved and took care of my husband like this in a wheelchair for a year after a bad motorcycle accident and when he walked again the thanks I got was adultery and he knocked up his mistress. Not every man appreciates this kind of a love from a woman. Lesson learned, love like this takes 2. He was self absorbed and didn’t deserve me. Glad I healed and moved on from him and found my peace and happiness remaining single.

I watched this movie many times and I even bought a book. My GOD i cried river while watching, asking why he had to do it. You really can sacrifice everything in the name of LOVE. What a story of love full of joy and happinness and yet so painful.
I really cannot imagine his last days while saying their goodbyes, seeing him happy in his decision to part in this world. How heavy my heart was looking into his eyes their love to each other, unfathomable feeling for a girl seems my heart will burst into pieces.🥲🥲🥲

This movie made me emotional overwhelming I put my self in theme shoes and I felt how slowly they fell in love. How pure and unique was the LOVE. LOVE shows us that when you LOVE SOMEONE it dosent always has to be intimacy. I felt the heart ache at the end I was crying my eyes out. One of the best movies Ive seen

I've watched this movie more than any other movie. I met the love of my life and he was involved in a car accident which left him a paraplegic, one set back after the other and he had to have both legs amputated. It's been 30yrs and I'm still in love with him, sad thing is..... he says he doesn't love me the way I love him. I will always love him, this movie just touches my heart so much

I never cry while watching movies but I could not held my tears back. This is so emotional for me. Even while writing this I have wet eyes. Losing your loved ones is the hardest thing one can ever through. I wish there was a happy ending. Some magic or miracle that they both could enjoy each one's presence. I loved and took care of my husband like this in a wheelchair for a year after a bad motorcycle accident and when he walked again the thanks I got was adultery and he knocked up his mistress. Not every man appreciates this kind of a love from a woman. Lesson learned, love like this takes 2. He was self absorbed and didn’t deserve me. Glad I healed and moved on from him and found my peace and happiness remaining single.
