Of course, their new album is coming out in October, so I may change my mind. I highly recommend you react to “In the Court of the Dragon “. Alex Bent, their drummer, is a machine on that track. For me personally, Betrayer is my all-time stand out track. Sin and the sentence introduced Alex Bent as their drummer and every song has been incredible since he joined. I really want to see your reaction to the Sin and the Sentence. FYI…Alex recorded the drums in one take on that song!
Their song Shogun is definitely their masterpiece, but In the Court of the Dragon is up there too. And if you want a ballad by Trivium, check out Until the World Goes Cold or The Heart From Your Hate. Still metal but definitely among their softer tracks and they hold up

I know the album is old (2008), but seriously, every single song on this record (Shogun) is as good, if not better than this song. Shogun is a masterpiece of a record. To answer your question though, their best song is probably Shogun itself. It's a nearly 12 minute epic track. Again, listen to this entire album. You will not be disappointed.
