I just installed a new kitchen for myself including a new Bosch induction hob I was slightly sceptical at first as I have only ever cooked on gas now I love it I would never go back to gas.
I'm not sure what you mean but if you are referring to the plates, only the inside of the rings heat up to the maximum size of your pan, but on the left plate, the entire side will heat up so you can have a large pan or several small ones, providing you want them all at the same heat level.

When I see those small portable ones they are always a bit noisy, this one seems completely silent!

Like the one you are using the right side has 2 rings but there are some bosch models that has + pattern instead like the PXE675DC1E model
