Jonah has kept his morality throughout his entire addiction. I was one of the homeless friends he let stay. Maybe I wouldn't have got clean and did better if he hadn't. Thanks Jonah and I have no doubt you can beat this shit.
He still has a sober man's thoughts about addiction and still has his morals attached. Someone needs to help him before he loses those wonderful characteristics.
Jonah suffered from depression even as a child. I don't know who was treating him, but he should have never been put on the meds he was taken. A lot of parents bring their children in for meds when the parent(s) should be in parenting classes. So many people want their kids " fixed" because they don't take the time to know their kids. If you're not consistent, how do you determine changes in your child. I worked with a child psychiatrist, and this way too common and it started in the 90s.
In the first 2 min you can see that this man is genuine. Regardless of his addiction....his ability to express himself and be respectful to his family....speaks volumes. ❤️🦅❤️
I appreciate him mentioning Kratom. I know there is a massive stigma on this substance, but my mother just started taking it a month ago. She was legally prescribed pain medication for rheumatoid arthritis, but after about 8 months, the medication wasn't helping near as much, they had already upped the dose, and were not willing to up it more. At that moment my mom became an addict. A year before, never wanting, let alone doing pain pills, to a year later, desperately searching for them to feel okay. Not good, just okay. She would spend every moment of the day, searching for any pain pills. It consumed her, she was meeting shady people, and always getting ripped off. It broke my heart to see her go down this path, and I would flood her with information and support, with how to handle it all, but the drug was far more powerful. She heard someone talk about Kratom on TV, decided to try it with nothing to lose. Within 2 weeks, she had tapered off and completely stopped her pain medication, to the point the following month she canceled her pain management appointments, which meant that there was NO way she was ever getting her prescription back. She couldn't be happier. Her life is back, and even better than before. It makes me cry tears of absolute joy, just thinking about it. She is taken every step with Kratom, to not abuse, and fall into the same traps she did with pain pills. I will never claim it's for everyone, very few things in life are for everyone, but I promise, if you are in desperate need and have tried other avenues, I would take the time and do some serious research to see if Kratom could also benefit you. Without them, my mom would currently be waking up to cold sweats, all of her attention on her phone looking for relief from a fix she can't afford but has to have, with no ability to enjoy the world around her. I am grateful I didn't get to witness how worse it would have gotten. I apologize for the rambling novel, ugh. lol I hope you all have a lovely Sunday/Week. What a great story, thanks for sharing this. And glad to hear your Mom is doing OK. Kratom works so well for this kind of thing. One of the reasons a lot of people fall into heavy drug addiction, is because their prescription is stopped and they are addicted. It forces them to have to seek alternative methods, so heroin, fentanyl from the streets. I hope more people get to see the benefits of Kratom, to stop them following that road. It can also be addictive, but less so than the really heavy stuff.
KRATOM saved my life as well. I read about it in comments of a video, can’t remember which, but it piqued my interest, and I sure did need it. It worked so well for me that I opened a kratom shop! I wanted to have a place that could provide quality kratom at affordable prices, along with information regarding getting clean directly from someone who used kratom to do it. You wouldn’t believe how many people come in needing help bc of addiction. Wait a minute, I’m on SWU - you would believe it! For anyone reading theses comments, kratom can help you get off opiates with zero withdrawals. Still ain’t easy, but it’s worth it. You can get out of it and get your life back! It amazes me when many of these people are asked what type of childhood they had they respond by saying it was “pretty normal” or “pretty good” then when Mark scratches the surface just a bit, there’s either sexual, mental, physical abuse, drugs, violence. It makes you thankful and fortunate when your own childhood had none of this.

Nobody would ever have known how abusive my childhood was. As soon as we stepped a foot outside the front door, we knew to put on the “perfect Christian family” masks. I didn’t know it wasn’t that way for everyone until I started spending nights with my friends. I was too afraid to tell anyone.
I can relate to this guy soo much. He’s my age, and It’s almost like looking at where I would be if I didn’t get out of my own shit. Hope he finds his peace.

I agree, simply because it wouldn't be the first time. It was a conflict from other countries (Latin America), that our military and government stuck their nose in (CIA/Contra), that caused our government to spill tons of crack cocaine into the country, predominantly impoverished communities. This is like the crack epidemic but instead started in the rural parts before spreading everywhere.
@@YerpDerp17 Why did your opiod epidemic start and who caused it do you think? I live in Europe and used to be addicted to heroin but it's far from a epidemic here. It's pretty rare and really stigmatised to use heroin but our government offer pretty good and free help. Rehab is free, tools is free and so is suboxone and metadon. About 20 min from me there's something called "fixerum & rökrum" which is basically a building were addicts can shoot up or smoke their heroin, get access to everything they need from needles, acid, nurses etc. Basically everything they need to intake their heroin in a safe way and a safe environment to avoid overdoses and diseases spreading but also get in contact with the social service, doctors etc if they need help to get out of the addiction. A few addicts get heroin prescribed to them but that is pretty rare since you have to be a hardcore addicts who's been addicted for a long time. It's like the last solution but it's better than if they were stealing, robbing or other crimes to afford their drugs for criminal dealers. Do you have something similar in the states?

Columbian drug runners to cuba and florida by high priced racing boat mobs buddies with political leaders etc. This was the get rich quick scheme and take out the weak in the population control. Suboxone.....NO!!!!!! I know from experience. You're trading in one opiate for another. I was duped. I never thought that my car crash was just the beginning of HELL on Earth. A 5 second mistake that only hurt me/killed me, and months later, my life went off the rails. I wish I would've been taken instead of dealing with lifelong severe nervousness and paranoia. It’s sad that he feels he can’t open up to people out of fear that they’ll use his depression as a weapon against him. I pray that he makes a connection with somebody who is compassionate and trustworthy that will help him take steps toward recovery.
I totally get why he feels he can't open up out of fear that his depression will be uses against him. Unfortunately depression and anxiety still have stigmas attached to them. The other thing is, doctors just want to write prescriptions and see you every couple of months. I speak from 25+ years of experience. I hope he can get clean.
@@maureenmartini5094 You are exactly right. I have pretty severe anxiety coupled with PTSD that I’ve struggled with for 13 years. You are right about the stigmas and the pill pushing as well. I totally know where he’s coming from because I have trust issues. Just about everybody I trusted betrayed me. It’s taken me years of counseling and slowly making new connections to realize that there are still good people in the world.
We had so many pill mills pop up in the South it was mind boggling. Doctors and Nurse Practitioners flooded Appalachia with opiates, not drug dealers. Then the black market exchange started. Talk about a gateway into drug use. Kids were over prescribed and turned into addicted adults. Then you finally shut the mills with very little help or options to addicts. In comes heroin… it is a viscous cycle of greed.
I read one article not too long ago that in one city - I don’t remember exact numbers - doctors were prescribing something like a million pills a month when the population of that city was 25k. Those numbers ARE NOT CORRECT but the prescription to person ratio was like 100 pills a day, per person, and that was if every person in that city was talking them. It was outrageous! Of course people from neighboring towns were coming but there was zero chance that those pills were being prescribed safely.
This guy is very perceptive. His thoughts on the poppy fields in Afghanistan, the oxy and drs, the plandemic and never going back to normal. Now worrying about being homeless. Don’t manifest that Jonah. You’re a sensitive guy with a good heart and good sense. Try to visualize being clean and successful. I believe you can do it.
I think with a psychologist, Jonah could really get to the root of what's been going on inside his brain his whole life. Agreed. Their voices are soothing, sound sort of like a melody. It pisses me off when people mock Southerners and how they speak. They equate a Southern accent to stupidity, which couldn't be further from the truth. In fact, the stupidity lies within the people who are accusing Southerners of being stupid because of their accent.. Not trying to disparage people who do not have a Southern accent. Just stating that they also have an accent, which doesn't sound particularly pleasing or melodic.

Out of all the videos I've watched, I can't remember anyone else mentioning how embarrassing and humiliating it is to overdose. Regardless of whether people are telling you "don't beat yourself up" or not, it's definitely up there in the list of things that can make a human being feel extremely pathetic. I hope this dude finds his band, he's chill and I fuck with his vibe. I'm more manic usually but when I'm depressed (and even when I'm manic too) I can relate extremely well to what he's saying. I wish I had something I could say that would help this fucked up world, or even just say something that'd make a good ending for this post.

3 minutes in and I started to feel drain listening to Jonah. He is a lost soul and seems to loathe oneself. He needs lots of therapy and his family should show him love. I pray that you grow to love yourself and then live for your son.
As an introvert, I am surprised that so many people will use the excuse that there is nothing to do around their area. It is like you don't have to be going out and doing stuff all the time. Take some quiet time and self reflect. Or start up something in your community that interests you and keeps you busy. The pandemic wasn't too hard g or me in that sense. I enjoy being home and I enjoy being alone at home as well. It is rare that I get the feeling that I want someone to talk to.
I'm an introvert as well and honestly have loved being quarantined. But I have extrovert friends that became very depressed being stuck in the house. I don't understand it, but some people need to do things around other people. lol
When he said that he was embarrassed after his overdose I just really felt that in my heart. It made me really sad. Cause I wish nobody felt anything bad. I wish we could all have access to the comfort and love that allows us to find our happiness. I wish he could feel happy to be alive. I wish we all could. The system is broken. Which system? It seems like all of them.
Take the embarrassment and say that will never be you again. Speaking from experience i still shudder at seeing the people who saw me embarrass myself on substances but I stand in the power of how hard it took to become who I am now.
For some of us, this is all difficult to understand. Why? Well, I've worked all my life and I'm 60 years old. The part about "there is nothing to do" part. Try and get some sort of job and you will no longer be bored. Also, really try to get off dope. Your life will never be good when using dope on a daily basis. Just try to save your own life, because no one else will. Now is the time to save your own life!!!!!

Jonah, you young man have so much to live for, it’s obvious you have a big heart, you just need a little help from the right place, as far as being homeless, look into the van life, u will be able to get the help and do the traveling you mentioned. I feel like with the right therapy he could turn his life around, he's not a lost cause. I heard him say I don't know alot, but he is spot on with everything he said, he's knows more than what he gives his self credit for. I'd like to see him get a job he loves and kick drugs. Depression is so real and isolating and the fear in your head keeps u stuck. Sometimes u just gotta take a leap of faith and try new things even if it's scary. God bless him

My little sister's story is the exact same. Jonah is so on point, he knows exactly how he got started with Adderall (amphetamine and dextroamphetamine). The only difference is my family lived in Chicago. She was the baby of six and so sweet. It is so hard to watch this happen to a loved one. We all miss her everyday.
As long as you brush your teeth heroin seems to slow down the metabolism and the aging process and since its not toxic like meth It has that effect physically and mentally
I am very sorry for this guy. All of his problems are always someone else's fault: His addiction comes from Childhood his overdoses come from breaking up with his girl and losing his job to Covid. It seems he uses all "bad things" that one goes through live to justify his addiction. So here we have the old egg and the chicken question... Did his addiction develop because of bad experiences or was the addiction was always there and through some circunstances in his life he ended up like this? I can't imagine the pain he feels and really think this is not his fault. I just wish he gets the support he deserves to come out of this vicious cycle.
Hes also an addict. Me being a fellow ex heroin addict like him. Us addicts are very good at spinning stories around to make us look like the victim. It gets to the point where u start believing the lies as an excuse to keep using. Theres allways someone out there who has had it worse that picked themselves back up and got sober thats for sure.

I agree to the point of him thinking his childhood time of medication started then. But he should take responsibility for now. If he keeps calling that stuff to mind he will never be fully Responsible. I'll tell you something from the other side looking thru his adults in his life they were at a loss with an out of control child. You hav no idea unless you are a mother or teacher that dealt with these kids and do not believe a child was medicated easily or just to keep him asleep and lethargic. It takes several other instances of trying alternative modifications before medication is even discussed.
Opium production did increase after the American invasion of Afghanistan, but that was because the Taliban started relying on it as a source of income. The US govt was not 'controlling' opium production, as far as I know

This has been pretty widely accepted in the world of geopolitics for a long time. Glad you see it now but your a little late to be just realizing this fact. All wars are for natural resources like opium and oil (both are plentiful in the middle east) so the fact the so many people are just now realizing this is concerning to me. Jonah you can overcome this ❤️ - reminds me so much of myself and my friends or ex friends when I was using. I was on heroin from 13-21. Started on blues, switched to dilaudid, then h. I quit shortly after I overdosed. That experience was just surreal. I felt like it wasn’t real, I was on the concrete outside of a dealers complex. What a shitty way to go. I have almost 6 years clean now. I never thought I would in a million years - I always thought life would be mundane and boring without the hazy lens of heroin. It isn’t though- it’s peaceful for once. There is such a deep sadness that comes from this video and from Jonah. I wish he could find a way out of there, and a way out of addiction.

Now that the U.S. fracks and exports oil, and Fentanyl has overtaken heroin use, we suddenly, disastrously leave Afghanistan, even though the last few years it had been relatively peaceful and there were few causalities.

I understand why you feel this way, I’ve definitely felt the the same over the years and while to some extent it might be true, you have to understand that their’s a lot of factors at play when it comes to our foreign entanglements, especially with Afghanistan. The main one being how immensely unpopular our presence had become with potential voters. Our last two presidents realized this and both talked about pulling out, but I think both were too afraid of the potential for serious blowback to actually follow through and last month, as we all unfortunately know, those fears ended up coming to fruition.

When he said that most addicts he's ever talked with, had histories of sexual abuse, he's right on the money. The lives lost due to abuse is staggering. Time to fry the sickos.
i felt the need to comment bc of what he said about childhood abuse & using. i was never abused physically, mentally, or emotionally but i became an addict by using pills first & that led me to h. im on suboxone still to this day & i might be for the rest of my life.
For anyone that is not aware, Kratom long term is still prone to addiction and horrible withdrawals just like other opiates. Short term for tapering off heroin or other opiates and sporadically for pain is wonderful. You can still become addicted to it. I'm so happy it has helped so many and hope it continues to. But you are still likely to become physically addicted long term like anything else.

Jonah seems to be a sweet guy, a bit of a lost soul ... I also used to be fascinated by Sid when I was a teenager ... but a hero? He may or may not have killed his girlfriend for example ... I do believe that most people who become addicted to drugs do so because of some sort of trauma. And sometimes trauma can come from something much severe than physical or sexual abuse ... I actually think more and more people grow up traumatized because we are destroying the planet, for example. Very sick world we have created. It was true with crack. People said it was a conspiracy for a long time but now the government has declassified documents showing it was the US government.
Jonah, I wish you the best. You seem to have enough wisdom, to know what you need. Praying you will get clean again, perhaps move out of your present environment if you can. Sadly children whom are put on medication at an early age, majority of the time become addicted to a drug. Doctors, take a person off of the medication, yet, the young child, or teenager, is not weened off of the meds, or given therapy. So therefore their euphoric world is no longer, and their minds are addicted to the drug. The child doesn't know how to cope without the euphoric feeling. I also agree with Jonah about the poppy fields, the doctors, medical profession pushing the drugs into our country.
His speech and stillness does have really interesting quality. I truly believe he is/could be great musician, artist. After all, his lifestyle and suffering could inspire him to create, find meaning in his experience. Continue with pursuit of the band!I hope for the best:)

He doesn’t pay child support lol he’s “ordered” to pay it but he damn sure doesn’t. His son is 10 years old and in the entire ten years he’d never once filed taxes until 2020 when he thought he was going to get a stimulus check lol but that joke was on him because they sent it to his child.

Oh I know you guys don’t actually know the person so you can only trust their response but I am very close to this situation and am fortunate enough to be blessed with a close relationship with that sweet boy he helped create. And thank God that he has a dad that supports and loves him. He’s thriving. He no longer even asks about Jonah as it’s been several years since he even so much as sent a message asking about him.

Did you also had an addiction to heroin? For how long? I mean it's easier said then done to "man up" and fix your life if you have a heavy addiction and had it for years. Especially heroin
I think a big reason drugs are so bad nowadays is that teenagers can't buy cigarettes and alcohol as easily as my generation. In the 1960s, cigarettes were sold in vending machines, and it wasn't unusual for a parent to send their kid to the nearby store to buy a six pack. Today, a youth can buy illegal drugs, but not beer! Now, this claim of boredom puzzles me -- as there was little for a kid to do in my hometown, and little money for pinball or pool games. Yet, we always stayed busy entertaining ourselves. We had vastly more freedom! Back then, the police were civilians! It astounds me that a modern "militarized" policeman will harass a 16 year old for smoking cigarettes!
Jonah has kept his morality throughout his entire addiction. I was one of the homeless friends he let stay. Maybe I wouldn't have got clean and did better if he hadn't. Thanks Jonah and I have no doubt you can beat this shit.

Jonah suffered from depression even as a child. I don't know who was treating him, but he should have never been put on the meds he was taken. A lot of parents bring their children in for meds when the parent(s) should be in parenting classes. So many people want their kids " fixed" because they don't take the time to know their kids. If you're not consistent, how do you determine changes in your child. I worked with a child psychiatrist, and this way too common and it started in the 90s.

I appreciate him mentioning Kratom. I know there is a massive stigma on this substance, but my mother just started taking it a month ago. She was legally prescribed pain medication for rheumatoid arthritis, but after about 8 months, the medication wasn't helping near as much, they had already upped the dose, and were not willing to up it more. At that moment my mom became an addict. A year before, never wanting, let alone doing pain pills, to a year later, desperately searching for them to feel okay. Not good, just okay. She would spend every moment of the day, searching for any pain pills. It consumed her, she was meeting shady people, and always getting ripped off. It broke my heart to see her go down this path, and I would flood her with information and support, with how to handle it all, but the drug was far more powerful. She heard someone talk about Kratom on TV, decided to try it with nothing to lose. Within 2 weeks, she had tapered off and completely stopped her pain medication, to the point the following month she canceled her pain management appointments, which meant that there was NO way she was ever getting her prescription back. She couldn't be happier. Her life is back, and even better than before. It makes me cry tears of absolute joy, just thinking about it. She is taken every step with Kratom, to not abuse, and fall into the same traps she did with pain pills. I will never claim it's for everyone, very few things in life are for everyone, but I promise, if you are in desperate need and have tried other avenues, I would take the time and do some serious research to see if Kratom could also benefit you. Without them, my mom would currently be waking up to cold sweats, all of her attention on her phone looking for relief from a fix she can't afford but has to have, with no ability to enjoy the world around her. I am grateful I didn't get to witness how worse it would have gotten. I apologize for the rambling novel, ugh. lol I hope you all have a lovely Sunday/Week. What a great story, thanks for sharing this. And glad to hear your Mom is doing OK. Kratom works so well for this kind of thing. One of the reasons a lot of people fall into heavy drug addiction, is because their prescription is stopped and they are addicted. It forces them to have to seek alternative methods, so heroin, fentanyl from the streets. I hope more people get to see the benefits of Kratom, to stop them following that road. It can also be addictive, but less so than the really heavy stuff.
KRATOM saved my life as well. I read about it in comments of a video, can’t remember which, but it piqued my interest, and I sure did need it. It worked so well for me that I opened a kratom shop! I wanted to have a place that could provide quality kratom at affordable prices, along with information regarding getting clean directly from someone who used kratom to do it. You wouldn’t believe how many people come in needing help bc of addiction. Wait a minute, I’m on SWU - you would believe it! For anyone reading theses comments, kratom can help you get off opiates with zero withdrawals. Still ain’t easy, but it’s worth it. You can get out of it and get your life back! It amazes me when many of these people are asked what type of childhood they had they respond by saying it was “pretty normal” or “pretty good” then when Mark scratches the surface just a bit, there’s either sexual, mental, physical abuse, drugs, violence. It makes you thankful and fortunate when your own childhood had none of this.

Nobody would ever have known how abusive my childhood was. As soon as we stepped a foot outside the front door, we knew to put on the “perfect Christian family” masks. I didn’t know it wasn’t that way for everyone until I started spending nights with my friends. I was too afraid to tell anyone.

I agree, simply because it wouldn't be the first time. It was a conflict from other countries (Latin America), that our military and government stuck their nose in (CIA/Contra), that caused our government to spill tons of crack cocaine into the country, predominantly impoverished communities. This is like the crack epidemic but instead started in the rural parts before spreading everywhere.
@@YerpDerp17 Why did your opiod epidemic start and who caused it do you think? I live in Europe and used to be addicted to heroin but it's far from a epidemic here. It's pretty rare and really stigmatised to use heroin but our government offer pretty good and free help. Rehab is free, tools is free and so is suboxone and metadon.
About 20 min from me there's something called "fixerum & rökrum" which is basically a building were addicts can shoot up or smoke their heroin, get access to everything they need from needles, acid, nurses etc. Basically everything they need to intake their heroin in a safe way and a safe environment to avoid overdoses and diseases spreading but also get in contact with the social service, doctors etc if they need help to get out of the addiction. A few addicts get heroin prescribed to them but that is pretty rare since you have to be a hardcore addicts who's been addicted for a long time. It's like the last solution but it's better than if they were stealing, robbing or other crimes to afford their drugs for criminal dealers.

Columbian drug runners to cuba and florida by high priced racing boat mobs buddies with political leaders etc. This was the get rich quick scheme and take out the weak in the population control. It’s sad that he feels he can’t open up to people out of fear that they’ll use his depression as a weapon against him. I pray that he makes a connection with somebody who is compassionate and trustworthy that will help him take steps toward recovery.
I totally get why he feels he can't open up out of fear that his depression will be uses against him. Unfortunately depression and anxiety still have stigmas attached to them. The other thing is, doctors just want to write prescriptions and see you every couple of months. I speak from 25+ years of experience. I hope he can get clean.
@@maureenmartini5094 You are exactly right. I have pretty severe anxiety coupled with PTSD that I’ve struggled with for 13 years. You are right about the stigmas and the pill pushing as well. I totally know where he’s coming from because I have trust issues. Just about everybody I trusted betrayed me. It’s taken me years of counseling and slowly making new connections to realize that there are still good people in the world.
We had so many pill mills pop up in the South it was mind boggling. Doctors and Nurse Practitioners flooded Appalachia with opiates, not drug dealers. Then the black market exchange started. Talk about a gateway into drug use. Kids were over prescribed and turned into addicted adults. Then you finally shut the mills with very little help or options to addicts. In comes heroin… it is a viscous cycle of greed.
I read one article not too long ago that in one city - I don’t remember exact numbers - doctors were prescribing something like a million pills a month when the population of that city was 25k. Those numbers ARE NOT CORRECT but the prescription to person ratio was like 100 pills a day, per person, and that was if every person in that city was talking them. It was outrageous! Of course people from neighboring towns were coming but there was zero chance that those pills were being prescribed safely.

They equate a Southern accent to stupidity, which couldn't be further from the truth. In fact, the stupidity lies within the people who are accusing Southerners of being stupid because of their accent.. Not trying to disparage people who do not have a Southern accent. Just stating that they also have an accent, which doesn't sound particularly pleasing or melodic.

Out of all the videos I've watched, I can't remember anyone else mentioning how embarrassing and humiliating it is to overdose. Regardless of whether people are telling you "don't beat yourself up" or not, it's definitely up there in the list of things that can make a human being feel extremely pathetic. I hope this dude finds his band, he's chill and I fuck with his vibe. I'm more manic usually but when I'm depressed (and even when I'm manic too) I can relate extremely well to what he's saying. I wish I had something I could say that would help this fucked up world, or even just say something that'd make a good ending for this post.

I wish I could do something...anything to help Jonah. This particular interview really made me sad.
As an introvert, I am surprised that so many people will use the excuse that there is nothing to do around their area. It is like you don't have to be going out and doing stuff all the time. Take some quiet time and self reflect. Or start up something in your community that interests you and keeps you busy.
The pandemic wasn't too hard g or me in that sense. I enjoy being home and I enjoy being alone at home as well. It is rare that I get the feeling that I want someone to talk to.
I'm this way as well now, But we're all different. Alot of people consider us weird. It's just all about perspective. Enjoy your day, Buddy.

When he said that he was embarrassed after his overdose I just really felt that in my heart. It made me really sad. Cause I wish nobody felt anything bad. I wish we could all have access to the comfort and love that allows us to find our happiness. I wish he could feel happy to be alive. I wish we all could. The system is broken. Which system? It seems like all of them.
Take the embarrassment and say that will never be you again. Speaking from experience i still shudder at seeing the people who saw me embarrass myself on substances but I stand in the power of how hard it took to become who I am now.

For some of us, this is all difficult to understand. Why? Well, I've worked all my life and I'm 60 years old. The part about "there is nothing to do" part. Try and get some sort of job and you will no longer be bored. Also, really try to get off dope. Your life will never be good when using dope on a daily basis. Just try to save your own life, because no one else will. Now is the time to save your own life!!!!!

I feel like with the right therapy he could turn his life around, he's not a lost cause. I heard him say I don't know alot, but he is spot on with everything he said, he's knows more than what he gives his self credit for. I'd like to see him get a job he loves and kick drugs. My little sister's story is the exact same. Jonah is so on point, he knows exactly how he got started with Adderall (amphetamine and dextroamphetamine). The only difference is my family lived in Chicago. She was the baby of six and so sweet. It is so hard to watch this happen to a loved one. We all miss her everyday.
For 36 year old he looks great.
As long as you brush your teeth heroin seems to slow down the metabolism and the aging process and since its not toxic like meth

I am very sorry for this guy. All of his problems are always someone else's fault: His addiction comes from Childhood his overdoses come from breaking up with his girl and losing his job to Covid. It seems he uses all "bad things" that one goes through live to justify his addiction. So here we have the old egg and the chicken question... Did his addiction develop because of bad experiences or was the addiction was always there and through some circunstances in his life he ended up like this?
I can't imagine the pain he feels and really think this is not his fault. I just wish he gets the support he deserves to come out of this vicious cycle.
Hes also an addict. Me being a fellow ex heroin addict like him. Us addicts are very good at spinning stories around to make us look like the victim. It gets to the point where u start believing the lies as an excuse to keep using. Theres allways someone out there who has had it worse that picked themselves back up and got sober thats for sure.

Responsible. I'll tell you something from the other side looking thru his adults in his life they were at a loss with an out of control child. You hav no idea unless you are a mother or teacher that dealt with these kids and do not believe a child was medicated easily or just to keep him asleep and lethargic. It takes several other instances of trying alternative modifications before medication is even discussed.
I'm real glad to hear his perspective. It's good to see a victim of the Appalachian epidemic here to say what leads so many to drugs.
Opium production did increase after the American invasion of Afghanistan, but that was because the Taliban started relying on it as a source of income. The US govt was not 'controlling' opium production, as far as I know

This has been pretty widely accepted in the world of geopolitics for a long time. Glad you see it now but your a little late to be just realizing this fact. All wars are for natural resources like opium and oil (both are plentiful in the middle east) so the fact the so many people are just now realizing this is concerning to me. Jonah you can overcome this ❤️ - reminds me so much of myself and my friends or ex friends when I was using. I was on heroin from 13-21. Started on blues, switched to dilaudid, then h. I quit shortly after I overdosed. That experience was just surreal. I felt like it wasn’t real, I was on the concrete outside of a dealers complex. What a shitty way to go. I have almost 6 years clean now. I never thought I would in a million years - I always thought life would be mundane and boring without the hazy lens of heroin. It isn’t though- it’s peaceful for once. There is such a deep sadness that comes from this video and from Jonah. I wish he could find a way out of there, and a way out of addiction.
He's smart, lost potential once again. His sense about Afghanistan resonates with anyone who has pondered it as well. Population control? The lies the lamestream news has people most people paranoid. The norm is gone. To me " CV" is a scamdemic. Now we have people that don't want to take that poison, I don't blame them. The population control has started a long time ago. He talks really slow, it could be all the damn 💊 medicine which is not a vaccine. And instead of thinking who's wrong or right, the politicians are laughing at us cause alot of people are believing their narrative. I've read alot of countries are pushing back in Europe and other countries. Soon they will start pushing back 😥. But you will not hear that from the actors in the lamestream news. Please we need to start fighting back. And it needs to start now. Prices are going up and they stopped helping people out that really need it. In the future it's going to get worse people. I understand why you feel this way, I’ve definitely felt the the same over the years and while to some extent it might be true, you have to understand that their’s a lot of factors at play when it comes to our foreign entanglements, especially with Afghanistan. The main one being how immensely unpopular our presence had become with potential voters. Our last two presidents realized this and both talked about pulling out, but I think both were too afraid of the potential for serious blowback to actually follow through and last month, as we all unfortunately know, those fears ended up coming to fruition.
Jonah reminds me of myself so much... i dont even know what to say. Just keep goin man. keep playing music even if you dont end up touring. Alot of people care about you even if it dont seem like it. thanks for sharing your story.
When he said that most addicts he's ever talked with, had histories of sexual abuse, he's right on the money. The lives lost due to abuse is staggering. Time to fry the sickos.
i felt the need to comment bc of what he said about childhood abuse & using. i was never abused physically, mentally, or emotionally but i became an addict by using pills first & that led me to h. im on suboxone still to this day & i might be for the rest of my life.
For anyone that is not aware, Kratom long term is still prone to addiction and horrible withdrawals just like other opiates. Short term for tapering off heroin or other opiates and sporadically for pain is wonderful. You can still become addicted to it.
I'm so happy it has helped so many and hope it continues to. But you are still likely to become physically addicted long term like anything else.
Facts. It helped me get off of H but kratom is not the miracle drug that some make it out to be.

Jonah seems to be a sweet guy, a bit of a lost soul ... I also used to be fascinated by Sid when I was a teenager ... but a hero? He may or may not have killed his girlfriend for example ... I do believe that most people who become addicted to drugs do so because of some sort of trauma. And sometimes trauma can come from something much severe than physical or sexual abuse ... I actually think more and more people grow up traumatized because we are destroying the planet, for example. Very sick world we have created. It was true with crack. People said it was a conspiracy for a long time but now the government has declassified documents showing it was the US government.

Jonah, I wish you the best. You seem to have enough wisdom, to know what you need. Praying you will get clean again, perhaps move out of your present environment if you can. Sadly children whom are put on medication at an early age, majority of the time become addicted to a drug. Doctors, take a person off of the medication, yet, the young child, or teenager, is not weened off of the meds, or given therapy. So therefore their euphoric world is no longer, and their minds are addicted to the drug. The child doesn't know how to cope without the euphoric feeling. I also agree with Jonah about the poppy fields, the doctors, medical profession pushing the drugs into our country.

He doesn’t pay child support lol he’s “ordered” to pay it but he damn sure doesn’t. His son is 10 years old and in the entire ten years he’d never once filed taxes until 2020 when he thought he was going to get a stimulus check lol but that joke was on him because they sent it to his child.

Oh I know you guys don’t actually know the person so you can only trust their response but I am very close to this situation and am fortunate enough to be blessed with a close relationship with that sweet boy he helped create. And thank God that he has a dad that supports and loves him. He’s thriving. He no longer even asks about Jonah as it’s been several years since he even so much as sent a message asking about him.

These people hv mental issues and do drugs to alleviate the pain. Because he cannot fuction right. Me i smoke medicinal weed to Stay away from depression and other problems.
Did you also had an addiction to heroin? For how long? I mean it's easier said then done to "man up" and fix your life if you have a heavy addiction and had it for years. Especially heroin
I think a big reason drugs are so bad nowadays is that teenagers can't buy cigarettes and alcohol as easily as my generation. In the 1960s, cigarettes were sold in vending machines, and it wasn't unusual for a parent to send their kid to the nearby store to buy a six pack. Today, a youth can buy illegal drugs, but not beer!
Now, this claim of boredom puzzles me -- as there was little for a kid to do in my hometown, and little money for pinball or pool games. Yet, we always stayed busy entertaining ourselves. We had vastly more freedom! Back then, the police were civilians! It astounds me that a modern "militarized" policeman will harass a 16 year old for smoking cigarettes!
I related to this story so much I'm a recovering addict and its a beast finding christ will relieve u from the hell of addiction
