Yessir standard chainsaw design. The piston acts as the bottom of the transfer ports when at bottom dead center, fuel mix sliding by the piston itself and up into the cylinder transfer.
Yup, and the "wings" on the bottom of the cylinder are simply there to seal off the case where the old transfers would be... I am wondering if filling the old case transfers would act like case stuffing. As of right now they are just empty space, but I don't know if the outcome would be positive or negative.
@@LAHover yeah give it a try! If you have an old YD case to experiment with. My hypothesis is that it would not hurt anything at all, perhaps even improve a little bit. But I dont know, I dont have one of these bad boys, so I am just working off of the short videos I have seen and my imagination. Hay I bought a 💯 cc and the bevel teeth are up and pulled out the bar in side that's it's connected to
Can I slap this engine on a go kart? If so how fast would I go?
Great mr alex on the innovation.. Thanks. Continue.
Why do you always cut the white wire? Love the videos. Keep them coming.
got another question for you about the phantom how many base gaskets do I need to use I seen someone using none just ultra gray another used 1 and another guy used 2 I was told 1 for more low end torque 2 for more speed what is your opinion sir
I used two. My opinion about the Phantom is they used the wrong piston. The one that is in it is 2° off in the wrong direction.
@@MotoredLife ok will do sir thank you for the info trying to get some longevity from this motor
@@mikemiller3303 i found out so much info from the person who helped them design them. Sadly flawed by design and requires fabrication to work correctly. Corners cut and rushed production
@@MotoredLife I heard through the grapevine that if you change the piston wrest pin and bearing to a stihl and with a window in the piston it fixes the problem I don't know just what I heard
@@mikemiller3303 that is correct! the other part is you have to shave about 2mm off of the cylinder.
Do you recommend changing the wrist pin clips on these like the yd100?
Yes you should
I wish to buy one of your old bikes
What would be the best motor to have for Speed
I can't find the 85 I just bought the 212 cc and its nothing like w stroke
Hello , how much the motor ? Where Buy?
Awesome! Great Video Thanks for sharing!!
I have a brand new Phantom 85 with the Minnelli exhaust like a mz65 that I'm getting ready to put on a rockhopper any advice that you might have would be greatly appreciated means I've watched your your stuff go really good the last bike I built was a bbr stage 4 with a MZ 65 exhaust and a high-performance carburetor I traded it for a phenomenal radio-controlled gas vehicle that is worth about $4,000 but now I've trying to put this Phantom 85 motor on and I would love to have any advice you have thank you and keep up the good work I love my gas bicycles I will never get rid of them I will continue to build them
Use 40:1 opti2 oil!
You can email me with more questons at MotoredLife@Gmail.com
Actually it isn’t the biggest, it is one of them though. CDH power sells one with the same displacement. Look up 110cc cdh motor. Plus CDH Power makes there with a steel sleeve to improve life which is nice. I got it because I like tuning and plan to mod the motor to my liking.
I wish motorized bicycles were legal here in Australia 😔 I miss my old stingray and GT kustom kruiser
If the cops don’t catch you, it never happened ;)
Do you think the guy that decided to use a bronze bushing instead of a needle bearing on the piston pin got fired? What the heck was he thinking?
I've seen 100cc engines would that be faster and better than this? Or should I go with this my bike is a 32" and I weigh 220lbs what would you recommend me do?
The new version that just came out has better bearing and seems to be a powerhouse. The yd100 is a nice reliable engine that you can get parts for right now.
At what point do these become mopeds or mitorcycles?
Good video Im getting mine in a bit
If they would sell the cylinder and exhaust together we can just build it with our yd100.
I agree there bro
Give it a bit of time for replacement parts to come out you will be able to
Right
What’s more powerful stock Bt100 or a YD
100
Cool I am from Illinois too. Is it legal in this state to ride one of these on the road?
Hey guys who are pretty knowledgeable in this field, any recommendations on a moto kit that comes out of the box with basically everything you need to slap.on a bike and get some decent performance? Like 35 maybe 40.mph? No I will not be going wide open constantly but want the speed at hand when needed. I'm not completely clueless on motorbikes but everything I know I've researched and learned myself there's just an infinite amount of info out there and a lot is misleading or I see mixed opinions and experiences.
P.S. I'm mechanically inclined to work on, install, and fix issues. I just want to know if there is an out of the box kit that can give me some decent power and maybe even more with slight upgrades down the road. TIA
How much horsepower stock? I'm guessing around 7 for a 2stroke 85cc
Is this a centrifugal clutch or manual ?
Manual
Hey Alex or anyone who has experience...
Can I use these Chainsaw Jugs on a 50cc Chinese GY6 Scooter 🛵 to get more power or not really..?
Or these just good for Moto-Bike Scene..?
But yea I have a 61 mm piston im making in the mix soon can't wait to see what it does
I actually have more of a question how long did it take the shipping
About 7 days
Reason why I ask is cuz I'm ordering one tomorrow
@@joshuamoon8442 oh nice! Yeah didn't take too long at all. I expected like a month but nope a week. They have them ready in America
Are you glad you bought it what size sprocket are you using I was thinking of 36 but then at the same time I kind of want my torque so I thought about maybe a between a 40 to 44
@@joshuamoon8442 I will be using a 40t on a cranny with chopper forks one gal tank. I painted everything like a metallic blood red.
I definitely need this
What’s the speed like
Wheres the update with the motor on a bike? We're all curious lol
Breaking in now. There were some issues i will cover in the video.
Any progress by chance yet?
@@vine2244 well there was an issue with the bushing that caused them to pull them from the shelves. Ill post as soon as i see the new version. Merry Christmas!
@@MotoredLife so I guess the updated version never showed. Awesome
@@vine2244 can't get one to last long enough for a video I've gone through 5 now
