“Hymns at Sunset” (COMPLETE ALBUM) features the Ralph Carmichael Choir along with instrumental solos by Lloyd Ulyate (trombone), Manny Klein (trumpet) and George Roberts (bass trombone). The 12 titles include so many favorite tunes: “Just a Closer Walk With Thee,” “How Great Thou Art,” “The Old Rugged Cross,” “His Amazing Grace,” “It Is No Secret,” “The Lord Is My Shepherd” (written by Ralph for Jo Stafford), “Beyond the Sunset,” “Take My Hand, Precious Lord,” “In the Garden,” “What a Friend We Have in Jesus,” “It Took a Miracle,” and “The Love of God.” Capitol Records produced the album in 1962 and Ralph re-issued it on his Light Records label in 1972.
