As a small child, I absolutely loved this record. I couldn't get enough of it. I would sing its songs all day long, and never missed an opportunity sit by the record player and have a listen.
I am very nostalgic of the songs of Yigal Calek and his wonderful choir which have accompanied my חזרה בתשובה almost 50 years ago. This album features some of those wonderful ones. Can anyone tell me where I could get all the albums no matter where ? Many thanks.
When Jewish music was 'Jewish' and was 'music.' This is the best of Yigal's six or so albums. It's a shame he didn't produce more. No subsequent choirs hold a candle to this, each song a veritable masterpiece of talent and authentic Jewish feeling. These songs are eternal.

I grew up in Newport News, Virginia. When the stereo played this record on Erev Shabbos, the beams of the house were getting ready to welcome the Shabbos Malka. Thank you so very much!
I have grown listening music in englsih from the eighties,to sush an extend that I have studied english for years...but when I listen hebrew music,I realise that my heart and my roots are from Israel.!Baruj hashem adonay Blessings Shalom for every one!
I've heard hundreds of Jewish and Chassidic albums by some of the most famous people of our time. This album out classes them all by far. The melodies are uplifting and the harmony is superb. Thank you so much for posting. You have given me and others great pleasure.

After all, they are the 'London' School of Jewish Song. The Moody Blues was popular at that time and it could've gotten by their hands especially since Jewish music at the time was still on the edge of adapting to pop culture.
