The last 3 teams to win a national title won it without a spread offense and have won it with a dominant defense and 2 of those teams were old school power run teams and the other one was prostyle and balanced it shows that you don’t need to chuck it deep all the time to win a title congratulations Michigan you deserve it 💯

The 12-team playoff can’t come soon enough. Expect the SEC to continue to win (almost) every year now that the best teams will actually compete.
The #1 back-to-back champ of 28 straight victories goes undefeated in the regular season, finally losing only to 11-1 Alabama (a playoff team) by a field goal in the conference championship, thanks to a missed call by the refs. Georgia is then inexplicably left out for a Michigan team that had to face Iowa (lol), a PAC 12 team from a now defunct conference (lol), and a B12 team that is moving conferences due to the confessed weakness of their current conference (lol).
This blowout was almost as bad as Georgia beating the breaks off Michigan in 2021, or the cudgeling of TCU in 2022. Would’ve loved to have seen Georgia (who just beat the ACC Champ and supposedly cheated would-be playoff team, FSU, 63-3) take on Michigan in the national championship. My guess is that it would have been the SEC’s sixth bowl win over the B10 this year, but we shall never know for a certitude. Thank you for your anti-SEC bias, playoff committee.
The silver lining is that the SEC (who has won 16 of the last 19 national championships, with SIX different schools accomplishing that feat - no other conference has more than one) will dominate college football even more when they insert 5-6 teams in the playoffs on an annual basis. Those white bread midwestern bumpkins in the B10 sought geographic expansion for a reason - they couldn’t keep up 😂
Michigan - the fact that this was a somewhat close game for 3.5 quarters is embarrassing. Washington - the fact that you ultimately lost by more than 20 points is embarrassing. This is what happens when you leave the best team out of the playoffs. Enjoy your *national championship, Michigan, and anticipate that multi-touchdown bludgeoning at the hands of Georgia next year as your belated just deserts.

I hate how people don't understand how this is a big deal and that they should be seriously punished. It was not one year, it was 2 and a half years. It was a policy of cheating. Harbaugh hovered between 7 and 10 wins until they started cheating. 2021:11 wins, 2022:12, 2023:14. And if you really wanted to know what that 2021 team actually looked like, look at the time they played Nebraska. Nebraska ran a hurry up offense unlike most other Big 10 teams, so sign stealing had less of an advantage. That game was won by a field goal, when they were crushing better teams.
Yeah, they probably would have won most of those games anyway, but if you can put a game away earlier, you can rest your starters and give your 2nd and 3rd string meaningful playing time. Which keeps your starters healthier and helps develop your younger players. The improved record and a promise that you will get playing time gets them better recuits and transfers. This is why that record improved year after year. This team is legit, and they won the second half of their season legitimately, but that team does not exist with the roster and health without cheating. It's equivalent to USC blatantly buying players. Their championship team's roster don't exist without it.
If Michigan walks away from this with a slap on the wrist, it's because Harbaugh knows something.

Yes, Georgia objectively deserved to be in. The #1 team all season, who then loses by a field goal to an 11-1 playoff dynasty in the championship game, does not drop from #1 to #6, behind teams that had advanced upon them for playing in meaningless championship games (Michigan beat Iowa, who Tennessee beat 35-0; Washington beat Oregon; and Texas beat an OK State team that lost to South Alabama and UCF LOL).
Georgia would’ve drubbed Michigan in the same manner as 2021. Stop being a abasing halfwit and activate your brain. Poor B10 probably won’t win another one for decades with a real playoff upcoming, enjoy it while you can.
