So power is the ability to change/influence other people's behavior.
Power exists wherever dependency exists.
Humans are social beings and so we are unavoidably and perpetually dependent on each other.
So if you want to find where the power is in any given society, you find the dependency.
Today, power lies with the capitalist class, the employers, and government.
The question becomes, 'who do we want to be dependent on.' maybe that's what the word 'freedom' really means. The ability to choose who you rely on and to make that choice fully informed and without coercion
