I played against him in high school. I thought he was NBA ready then. A team should give him a chance he can't hurt a team. He has good ball handling, explosive, and has good basketball IQ.
I'm only 5'6" myself . I tell people all the time size does matter but, it is not everything. GOODLUCK to Carr . Great story. Save your money, you will make plenty.
He averaged 10.7 points on 39 FG%.2.1 Turnover with 1.9 assists. 0.9 rebounds and 68 Free Throw % in the *D-LEAGUE*. He's run to watch but no NBA Team would want any of that.
I've seen an evolution in his game. In high school he was a bit of a street baller, no fundamentals (but I still liked him). Now I see a difference in his game that makes me like him even more. I think his off the court troubles are hopefully done. Now the NBA, I believe he has a future. Look at Will Bynum, and Nate Robinson. I think he's better than Bynum and can be better than Nate. I can't wait to see what happens with his future.
i absolutely LOVE to see him advance in the D-League Hes has potential - and is one of my Fav. players Keep working bro. -Your game is nice - He has HART - and that drives him _SALUTE_ from BOSNIA
He still seems raw, he isn't going to be in the NBA if he keeps up his "always go for the flashy" type of plays, which results in a higher turnover rate...He really, really should have gone to college, he got offered 28 SCHOLARSHIPS from different colleges, and he decided to skip the extra fundamentals, training, conditioning, and basketball IQ to play overseas.
He kinda reminds me of Chris Paul the way he can move his way through the defense and score at his leisure. I think he nba ready, I'd give two years to feel it out and then he'll be a starter.
I see no reason why he can't transition around a couple of teams on a few 10-day contract signings. feel his way around the league and see if any team will sign a more legit contract with him, let him come off the bench for a burst of energy and agility. I hope the best for him.
+Rodney Garvey his chances of making the actual roster are virtually zero though. He might get a little playtime in the last preseason games but he's pretty much signed to go right back to the D league
+Troy Hartle let's see you hoop...he repping smaller players and he repping my city of Bmore...atleast he getting a chance to do with less than 1 percent of the human population can do and that's playing on a Nba roster
And let's imagine Allen Iverson as a 6'6'' guard like MJ & Kobe are ... I can say that he would be maybe better than both those guys, because he was unstoppable even being 6'0'' (though many say he was more 5'11'' or even 5'10''). To me, he is #3 SG of all-time as a player (not championship wise, but he was best player in the league for many years and Kobe or nobody else was no-where near him) after MJ & Kobe and before D-Wade & Jerry West (or somebody else).
i agree that skill comes with alot of "what ifs" but realistically i wanna see whos gonna guard being that he's 5'6". he problably cudnt guard even nate robinson. who is 5'8"
look... i agree in a sense with what you're saying. But quickness and agility are not affected until you reach a specific height which is over 7'... it's actually been proven. that 5'6" athlete would still be just as shifty at 6'5". Smaller athletes just tend to focus more on quickness and agility to make up for the height disparity. but 5'6" it probably won't matter at all how quick or shifty he is... in the NBA all the guards are quick and shifty... even lathargic steve nash lol... AKA my favorite player when he could actually ball..
If funny you mention that because the sixers still don't have a legit point guard at all at the moment. These niggas stay drafting big men for no reason lol well besides Ben Simmons.
***** no size is very important. Actually its the most important trait. For instance, nick johnson is being looked over in the draft cuz he's undersized for a sg at 6'3''. For prospects size and athleticism is everything. the actually skills come later down the line.
There is a chance he could make the nba, he has unbelievable quickness. Looks like he can break down defenses with it. At least a back up n.b.a point guard to come off the bench and create problems for opponents, i would say.
Well from watching this guy's highlight he is nice, but there just highlights so I'm not sure if he has allot of turn over that would make the NBA look him over. But I think he deserves a shot in the league. He is an entertaining guard to watch with lots of potential.
Man too bad he had a fall out with the coaches. He wasnt really agreeing with the way they were treating him. Seen him talking about it in an interview. He might try another D-league team or might go over seas. Carr is just a great player
I think he could bring a spark off the bench for any NBA team he would be sort of like a Nate Robinson, brings that intensity you need from a backup pointguard.
They released him because he doesn't pass more. He's scorer no doubt about it but at his size he needs to pass more..If he's not going to do that then he probably won't play in the NBA. He'll get a look in a camp and play summer league ball but I'd be surprised if he gets drafted.. Unless he goes late in the 2nd round, I expect him to be a free agent.
Aquille Carr is a lot better than most NBA players. Teams aren't looking at him because of his size.. the new generation of NBA players are taller and more athletic than the Spud Webb & Mugsy Bogues days.
+jared lucht it's not that he cant play d, it's that every switch becomes a problem. That being said, imo this guy is still very talented. He could really cash in in china or europe, if he works himself up the ranks
Anyone who lives in Ontario Canada that wants to see him play, come out on November 20 to the hershey centre. He plays for the Saint John Millrats and they're facing against the Mississauga Power. Games at 7. Go on the Mississauga Power's website for game and ticket info. Gonna be a crazy game!
I will admit in the past I thought he was all hype. Just a kid showing off against scrubs. Although, after watching this (realize they're just highlights) I think he could not only play in the NBA but be a great 2nd point guard. He is ooozing with natural born talent.
Carr is a good player. He's a good player with good speed and handles but, obviously his size is an issue. I think he could be a good backup on a team that has a good starter.
I think he'll have to make it as a backup on a rebuilding team. The Nba is alot better and i hope he goes on a rebuilding team first so he can practice his skills
size doesn't matter in NBA according to a bunch of dumb ass people who tried arguing with me on a different page... glad someone else thinks "size is an issue" shows that it actually matters more than skill, agility, handles, and ability.
Aquille averaged 10 points a game in 17 minutes of pt scoring isn't an issue with him. The reason NBA scouts are weary is because he'd be giving up such a disadvantage defensively in the league...if he did make it to the league he'd only be used as a spark plug off the bench in limited times
One reason why he isn't drafted is because everyone is seeing him playing PG because it is his position and because of his height. He honestly looks more like a scoring athletic SG to me but no way people are gonna put a 5'6" SG on the floor.
Miami could have definitely used him... Mario and Norris have been absent throughout the playoffs at that 1 spot.. smh.. I think Carr would have at least made SOME plays because he has that same type of it factor that Nate Robinson has. .. I hope Carr gets a chance from someone though cuz dude is special..
earl b was and nate is taller and can bench 400 so they're strong enough not to get pushed around too much and fight through screens carr is offensively gifted but you would be playing 4 against five on d he just doesnt have the strength to play with nba starters yet he would get destroyed on pick and rolls which is 90% of nba plays now he went undrafted but wouldn't be surprised to see him get a ten day contract or two after playing overseas a couple years and gaining exp and strength
Well I mean muggsy bogues was 5'3 an if you ask any big man of the 90s they will say they hated playing against the hornets because he was one of the best off ball defenders of all time
Man I just wish basketball wasn't so focused on height but rather skill, if the kid can hoop just give him a chance to prove himself don't base everything on height
He is currently working with a new sports agent who will try to get him in the NBA. saw the video. Carr is not happy with what's going on currently in his career. I mean this kid scores 1.66pts per playing minute!
Wow been watching him since HS. Great to see he is still progressing.
When I heard "crime stopper" I knew he was the guy playin in highschool.
This did not age well
Can't believe this guy is 5 foot 4.5 inches without shoes and is ballin on NBA-sized players. How can you not root for this guy?
he was dunking over dudes and blocking 7footers during High school
Dude was averaging 10 ppg only playing 14 minutes a game. Almost averaging a point per minute.
@Unknown DA2 😂😂😂 lmao
@M nobody cares about soccer
@@iamzay4938 like basketball better but I got to admit soccer is way more popular in the world

How many times were you on the ground. 2, 3 times???
Oh woah I think I've seen you get crossed by him in one of his hoop mix tapes!!!
If he was 6'0, he would be #1 pick.
im 4'9 and goin to the the 8th and i hoop just like he does and hes truly my role model still lookin up to u bruh chase that dream
Howd that turn out
@@FreeRKeIyBro probably dont even hoop anymore

He's Amazing, Talent like that doesn't grow on trees
aquille car has so much talent, if he gets a shot in the nab, he will be a fan favorite
He need to dunk that last one!! But why is the NBA hating he should be playing in the summer league he's got NBA talent
Nice to see this kid getting his due.
If he was taller, he would've been Allen Iverson 2.0
No doubt. I enjoy watching small guards just destroy taller players.
but would he PRACTICE?
@ John k, Lmao!!
john k due to his lack of height...i don't think he would have choice.
***** lmao
"Aquille Carr is the Crime Stopper, but right there he was the Pick Pocket" lol
Lol the 87ers let go of Carr... The 87ers are tanking too
He gon make it
He averaged 10.7 points on 39 FG%.2.1 Turnover with 1.9 assists. 0.9 rebounds and 68 Free Throw % in the *D-LEAGUE*. He's run to watch but no NBA Team would want any of that.
In 14 minutes though
Nathaniel James Yeah imagine the turnovers he'd get if he played 35 minutes
+The Chosen One Imagine the points, assists, and field goals he would make
Those are actually really impressive stats considering his height
Looking back .... he should’ve been nba easily .... looks effortless
I've seen an evolution in his game. In high school he was a bit of a street baller, no fundamentals (but I still liked him). Now I see a difference in his game that makes me like him even more. He does not play like Chris Paul he's a million times faster than Chris but he's not better
The lakers or Spurs need to pick his ass up.
he's so underrated
Funny how everyone constantly talks about how he would never make an NBA roster but recently just got picked up by Houston.

Uncle Bernard no but aquille is blessed to be able to do what he does at his size 💯💯
This guy should replace Mario Chalmers
Sadly it won't happen because he is 5' 7'' , he would get destroyed on D
Haha as far as I know he plays better defense than James harden. Muggsy bogues was a beast on defense even though standing at 5'3
***** Carr has like a 40 to 50 inch very look up his highlights in highschool that's when he completely dominated.

Anyone 5'6'' who is good enough to hang in the NBA would be a super-star if they were 6'6" if not another Micheal Jordan

Now i gotta watch the d-league
I like the way Aquille Carr plays, motivates me to do better
Wow look at that packed crowd!
10.7 points in 14 minutes. As an every day starter, he'd have at least 25 a game!
I have to admit Carr looked good on this highlight..... would like to see how he does defensively though...
It’s ridiculous how Carr didn’t get to play in the league

He needed 2 yrs of college, he would have been a beast at seton hall with Isiah Whitehead.
I'm so proud of this dude and I personally don't know him. #HeartOverHeight.
Anybody else wanna see this guy play in the NBA just to see how he goes up against the superstars of the league ?? I think that would be pretty cool
I hope he makes it to the NBA !
Keep doin yo Thang Carr
This guy is amazing
He's a damn talented little stud, but does anybody play good team defense anymore? And, who the hell is he gonna guard on D?!
+arthur evans he can play defense

+rübatsch imagine if he is in the NBA and has to defend a 6'11 PG like Giannis Antetokounmpo (Butcks start him as guard now)
+King Krossover he wouldn't guard him... The coach would switch him onto someone else or take him out the game

He can FILL THE SEATS... A LOT of ppl would PAY to watch him play. WE ALL KNOW NBA OWNERS LOVE THAT💰💰💰💰 all he need is CHANCE
2:21 was nassstttyyyyyy

I really hope this guy gets a shot at the NBA.

guarding him would be like trying to guard a flea lol.
we done came up
