- In this week's video, I head out to the west of Ireland and explore co.Mayo. I was a guest on Alan Clarke's live podcast in the TF Royal in Castlebar, and decided to explore around Castlebar, Foxford, before heading to Balina. If you head to the Foxford woolen mills, make sure to go between 10-5 Mon - Fri so you can visit the factory. The history museum I shared is the national museum of Ireland Country Life, and is located at Turlough Park, a 10 minute from Castlebar town.

This was lovely to see, my great grandmother was born in Castlebar in the mid 1800’s. She married a British Fusileer & then went to India for many years. They ended up in Suffolk UK. They were very brave & adventuress back then.

I was reading about Foxford because of your video... just to find out of Admiral William Brown. We called it Almirante Guillermo Brown! Hah! We like to change original people's names! He founded here in Buenos Aires-Argentina the first Navy

I rented a car for a week in Ireland. It was easy driving, with an automatic transmission. Loved the roads and highways of Ireland!

I went on Google maps.. the little town of Foxford is on "Lough Conn" Lake (so yes, not the sea). It is very big! And looks beautiful.

My grandad left Ireland in the first part of the last century. All I know is, his family upset the wrong people, and they made a fast exit 😂 I was told never to ask why, so that's what I know of my Irish ancestry...nothing 😂😅
