Who doesn’t love a picnic in summer? I love to know what other people take on picnics & here I show you what I put together. Like to channel my inner Enid Blyton and make lots of scrummy goodies!
The washing machine needed repairing, so I’ve been busy handwashing. Also squeezed in a little - some might say pointless - festive project, and done a smidge of shopping.
Henry and Tiger both appear in this vlog 🐈‍⬛🐈🥰

The tiptoe of autumn 🍂 love that expression. Your videos are such a nice way to relax - thanks for sharing with us!

You are welcome! The way the world is right now I just feel it’s a good distraction to focus on the good bits, however small. Tip toeing autumn is definitely one of the good bits! ❤

What a delicious looking picnic! We had a family picnic recently for husband's birthday , everyone took something and I had an idea to use up a glut of potatoes by roasting them. I ended up with about 40 lovely crispy roasties which were eaten in about 5mins!! I'll definitely take those again.

ooh, that sounds so good! I need to copy that idea. What is it about picnics? They are just so much fun and so scrummy!

Lovely fun video again. Love to see Henry cat and Tiger cat. Scrumptious picnics also.
Here, we tend to include BBQs also in the picnics as parks and beaches often have BBQ pits installed for the use of visitors. Can you share your potatoe salad recipe? I would love to make some using freshly dug potatoes from the garden.

Thank you Linda. The recipe is very simple. Boil the potatoes, cool, then add mayo mixed with whole grain mustard and spring onions - scallions? - I can’t give exact quantities as it would depend on the amount you are making, and I swiped the idea from the ingredients list on the one we bought in Suffolk Food Hall! It’s so simple but my new favourite! ❤

Pippa, I love that you’ve recently been to SFH! It’s one of my favourite places, so good. It’s the nearest thing we have to Daylesford , which is my absolute favourite foodie place.
I love Malory Towers, & St Clare’s. The midnight feast descriptions were fabulous. No, I didn’t go to either picnic, I’m not a huge fan of being at the beach hut all day, but will happily make sure the troops have all they need! ❤
