I use this exact keyboard...but due to the effects of the keyboard I don't really mind using the pedal since I tried it once and it not responding,now after watching your video I went through my keyboard immediately and I discovered the right 1 and right 2 is off 😂😂 but have got it ON now Thanks so much for the enlightenment....Much Love from NIGERIA HERE ❤️

In some cases it can help if you set the Pedal function "Sostenuto" instead of "Sustain". (Please refer also to page 112 of the SX900 Reference Manual.)

Thanks for video. One question.. what to do when there is fast melody played on right hand for few seconds.. for those few seconds, don't we have to use sustain pedals as using it with fast melodies create unpleasant sound.. Pl guide

No you could use the sustain for fast melodies. It adds beauty with sustain but you need to make sure you are not hitting the keys too hard and hitting the same key twice.. piano runs sounds great with sustain too... As a side note while with your right hand if you're doing fast runs or melodies and not using left hand to hit to many bass keys then only use sustain.. if your left is proficient enough too trigger the bass notes for fillers while you play right hand there is no need for sustain at that moment.

If your inbuilt sustain from keyboard is satisfying enough you could continue to use that. But there would be quality difference in the sound that's produced when we plug in good sustain pedals. Also we have full control to release sustain and to trigger sustain at right notes using pedals.

imbuold sutain function doesnt give flavour as it will.sustain whatever you play all the time and your piece will sound muddy thats why we use foot switch pedal or called sustain pedal as it pressed when there is need and left when you dont want sustain
