no odour other than when they roll in fox/sheep/cow/bird poo! There is some shedding but can keep on top of it by plucking out dead hair, but don't overdo it, they look better "natural". As a pet this breed is better exercised on tracking/lunge lead, they are very good at doing a bunk when in tracking mode, which is pretty much all the time when outside.

We have a little basset fauve called Raspa. She´s pretty similar... Scary and calm. But very funny!!
