Hi Lorraine. I live in Florida, and I had a severe mold problem when I lived on the ground floor of an apartment. The only thing that can help prevent a mold problem in a high moisture area is having an air conditioner. A dehumidifier is also helpful. I ended up moving out of the apartment because I could. I had to throw away a lot of things and clean my furniture thoroughly. Putting your furniture in the sun will also help. I also developed acute asthma. I recommend you wash your clothes in hot or warm water and add bleach or a disinfectant. It's the moisture in the ground because of excess rain. Air out the house as much as you can. The type of roofing you have is probably contributing to moisture retention in the walls. This is also the importance of damprooffing your house. I hope you are able to resolve this issue. It is recommended to run the AC in Florida when you go on vacation to help prevent mold build-up.
Please my dear get an air-conditioning system in rooms as it will help. Also make use the dresser has no doors. Please let a carpenter remove the doors.
Hi Linnette, pleae use Vinegor. I have another youtuber in Ghana spoke about her bags and shoes. The bleach will not be good for you. I had that problem when I first moved from the town area in the Virgin Islands into my newly built home 22 years ago. I used bleach and vinegar. But I recommend vinegar more than bleach with some Dawn dish soap.
Consider asking your nearest neighbours if they have a similar problem and if so, how they deal with it. Bleach may be too harsh and may release fumes which may prove more toxic to breath than the mould. Consider using a salt solution. Of course I am sure you are aware that ventilating the room helps.
@proyouservicesltd3652 Hi yes, I have definitely experience the harshness from the bleach and on some research it is not recommended for mold, I have use other products on the mold which I will be making more videos on this matter so stay tuned to find out all of what I used and what worked thus far. Thanks 😊
Hi loren, Mould 6:51 is a silent killer, I suggest you leave that place ASAP . The mould problem is usually from a external damp wall rising damp, a treatment you can use is a soap detergent to wash your wall and keep your furniture away from the walls, all the best sorry to hear about the situation.

Wow. That is terrible . Keep the Air-condition on all the time.
So sorry ro hear, hope you are able to clean and get rid of the problem. Just so it is not taken into your beautiful new home you are constructing
This is your BFFE. Leave the air-conditioner on for a week. That should make a difference.
