I always tell people in Canada that in India people may not have perfectly manicured lawns or latest cars parked in front of the house but we insist a visitor always shares our lunch and we make them feel welcomed. People in Canada are barely making ends meet. Food banks are overrun, homelessness is on the rise, car thefts is up 200%, people are living pay check to pay check. Mental issues, health issues are all time high. Canada might look pretty on the outside, but it's absolutely ugly on the inside.

When would we come out with our own Indices? Problem is how will we popularise it or even make it credible when the main carrier of such indices is the media which is what it is - totally biased. That needs to change first while the indices are formed, data points are decided and design for data collection is formulated and refined through iterations at different level so that the indices we bring out are more representative and unbiased and they remain so despite changes in controlling entities.
