USS GEORGE H.W. BUSH (CVN 77) will be ready to conduct sustained Carrier Strike Group operations and independent carrier operations and directed by command authority to support national objectives.
Our Priorities
First and foremost, USS George H. W. Bush (CVN 77) is a warship designed to provide adaptable and decisive combat power to our national leadership. We have many critical non-combat capabilities and responsibilities - they are all important. We will enthusiastically embrace and excel at any assigned mission but our ultimate benchmarks will always be combat readiness and combat effectiveness.
Our Guiding Principles
Like our namesake, we serve our country with integrity, dignity, and humility.
Mission excellence is achieved through ownership and personal responsibility.
The material condition of our ship is critical to mission effectiveness.
Sailors and their families are our most important asset.
Naval Service is a team sport.

This makes me miss the flight deck and ops. This is my old Airwing, CVW-8. I was assigned to VFA-87, Golden Warriors. They are the nose number 400 jets with the Indian on the tail. Back in the late 90s we had two F-14 squadrons with us rather than the Echos in the Wing now (nose numbers 100s and 200s). I did my time on the deck of the Kennedy and the Roosevelt.

The flight deck aircraft handlers are terrific, they’re pretty brave working a potentially dangerous job dealing with a lot of heavy aircraft at any given time.

Just from an engineering perspective, this is amazing to watch. If you consider how hard flying is on its own, then couple that with doing it at sea
Then you consider its not some gimmick ship, that can land 1 or 2 planes, but is a literal airport, mobile, and out to sea.

With out a doubt one of the best videos of carrier operations I have seen with nice close in shots of both launching and retrieving aircraft. Love the shots of the A6's too! 👍
Those are E/A-6B Prowlers actually. A derivative of the A-6, designed for Electronic Warfare. But sadly...the navy retired them in replacement for the E/A-18G Growlers.

An amazing ship and crew,and superb footage. I had the privilege of visiting Roosevelt in Norfolk Va some years ago,so know the size of these beasts,but to see them in ops is another level. These men are doing this day in and day out in all weathers,sight unseen,a pity the US is often portrayed in a more negative light. Any woke women on there? Somehow doubt it. Just hard working people with a job to do. Thanks for posting.

The growler is for electronic attack while the E2 for AEW&C. Maybe you meant the EA6B?

The us navy aircraft carrier bush is a floating city. If you put the Empire state building flat down on the ocean the bush is longer . 24 stories high and the different aircraft planes take off the deck of 140 feet and up to 150 miles hour in a second. On boymth sides of the deck thier is a control room that takes to the control tower way up where the commander sits in his big chair and watches the aircraft planes taking off while the crew on the deck have to make sure that the aircraft is hooked up to the catapult and thier is a floor in the catapult room of many crew .The catapult is so strong. The us navy aircraft carrier bush can be anywhere in the world if thier is a problem and the carriers are unsinkable it's impossible for a enemy to strike also we have the most advanced nuclear battle ships around the carrier. We have to give the navy and military and special troops red wings alot of courage and prayers so they can go home to thier families.
nuclear battleships there is no such thing. i was on a carrier CVN69 USS Eisenhower. guided missile cruisers to protect the ship from enemy planes no battleships
