Her use of the word "replaced" was the correct usage. He WAS replaced by other actors. And she never said anything about a "scandal. What you've accused her of is defamatory.

Xiao Zhan has never signed the contract nor joined in the shooting of season 2 of either Joy of Life or of Douluo Continent, how can you "replace" someone who has never been there at the very first day?
I don't agree with the title of this video as it pertains to XZ. "Removed" seems to suggest that the actor was canceled or bad conduct lead to the producers not wanting to work with him. With XZ, it's likely that it was either a mutual decision or his decision not to return for the sequels.
Xiao Zhan doesn't do sequels, he wants to try new things and challenges. Why reprise an old role when he is offered so many new and interesting ones to choose from. Good for him, Xiao Zhan is a super star both in China and abroad.❤

XZ doesn't belong on this list. Unlike some of the stars who actually got "replaced " due to their respective scandal, XZ turned down the role of Yan Bingyuan in JOL 2. I don't know if it was because of schedule conflicts or because his management team thinks he's too famous for a secondary role.
I believe there was some talk that he would never be in anything where he was not the FML.
Sad to see Xiao Zhan no longer part of the two c-dramas. He is one of my top ten favorite actors 😢

I am seriously beginning to wonder about this “tax evasion” thing. Do not tell me that these people file their taxes themselves….
It can be a way to threaten celibrities or make them answer for the failure of thier account to file a proper tax return.If one or two cases then we can say it's ignorance but if more than that something fishy is going on.After all news travels faster in thier circle specially if it involves the destruction of once carrier.So the example was already set and who in the hell wants to self destruct by not paying the right tax.
Nah ,tax evasion was very normal in China and government wasnt very concerned with it but in recent years celebrities' fees had hugely increased and actors start demanding huge paychecks so government initiated cracking on all tax evasion celebrities
In Fan Bingbing case, "tax evasion" mean the director pay the artist a lot (definitely more than her original rate). But then, the artist will return some of it. It's more like "money laundering" than "tax evasion". But, I don't know why people keep saying that this kind of case as "tax evasion".
I remember right after Duo Lingo was released they had decided that they would have a part 2. Xiao Zhan already said he did not even want to return to that role. He already did it once and wanted to move on. in fact, none of the actors wanted to return.
Hence an all new cast.
As far as joy of life is concerned, I will say what I read a long while ago that the money just wasn’t there for him either was a ML part which he said he would never take anything without being ML again. That makes sense. Why should he!
I do not blame him one bit. He is accomplished now and it’s time for him to be paid and recognized for his work. He also wants different work.
May I add that Wang Yibo is also very picky and choosey as to the roles he is taking. By his own admittance he only works on films he can learn new skills in. He is also taken to task for not working a lot these days but in essence, he’s not interested in dramas and similar characters he has already done.
Therefore , these two accomplished actors pick and turn down roles. No one gets rid of them. lol they would be nuts to do that as they are money makers.

No way, Xiao Zhan is still a brilliant performer. I'm very picky about which actors I watch, and 3 main actors I follow are Xiao Zhan, Wang Yibo, and Xu Kai. There are others I like as well, but too many to name 🙃

I watch kdramas j dramas and cdramas. I've been watching cdramas a lot lately but 2024 doesn't seem to be worth watching. So it's a definitely a pass for me for 2024.

I feel for crimes like Tax related stuff, they can asked the person to pay back and also fined them (first offence, if they commit again, there should be jail time too). But it shouldn't affect the whole production as it's unfair.

I agree with @Jenhope883 that Xiao Zhan should not fit into the list of "replacement", because all actor/actress mentioned in the up-loader's video have either signed the contract or participated in shooting, before they were "replaced". However, Xiao Zhan never joined nor confirmed willingness to join into the shooting of Joy of life -Season 2 or of Douluo Continent 2. So it is inappropriate that the host use the word "replace" instead of take him out of this group; for you can't "replace" an actor if he was never there to start with.

With the changes, I won't be watching the new ones, as with the first ones of these dramas I really enjoyed the original performers, they made the show their own, having replacements just doesn't always work especially when they are the main characters of the drama. My favourite actors are XiaoZhan and WangYibo. 🤨

So.........how much money do these actors and actresses make per film or series. What kind of money do they make for product endorsements. You want to drive up the numbers on your channel subscribers, this kind of information should help. Imagine the howling when they find out that someone who can't act is receiving more money for one series then the average person makes in a lifetime.........or do they even compare to their western counterparts who get paid millions of US dollars per film.
