- Hey guys!! Wow what an intense few weeks we have had. Alexa and I wanted to just be real and make you guys an unedited update vlog which then kinda turned into a bible study vlog lol Were going to try and get more vlog up these next few weeks. Were off on a babymoon thanks to our amazing pals over at Royal Caribbean - YES i know were obsessed with cruising :)

I love how lex just looks at you with love and sadness. She loves you with all her heart but her heart hurts to see you down. Love how you guys lift one another and are comfortable to just let out the frustration in your heart with the there is there to help you back. I have been watching your blogs backwards. You strive to put good out there but are comfortable to show us that you struggle too. I have been the way you have been feeling like Carlos for the past 4 years and hope I can pull out of it one day. I bought a new devotional bible 3 months ago and have yet to open it. I hope your prayers get answered soon and you get an amazing role and just stand in awe praising him.

This was soooooo so good. I love your videos so much. Jesus said "Why have You forsaken me" in fulfillment of Psalm 22 and that is what I turn to when I feel distant and it's a way to put my thoughts into words. God knows what we're feeling, I don't think it makes sense to "hide it" from Him. Sometimes we feel lost or away from Him and I think the best thing we can do is give that up to God and ask for help. He can help us. Life can be hard and Satan tries to keep us distracted from God at the hardest times. The key is to read the Scriptures and pray often-something I also need to work on. I was really inspired by this video and appreciate this so much that you guys talk about this!
I missed you guys! I'm 19 and I have been truly blessed by you guys sharing your life and not being afraid to share your faith. I truly do thank you guys for that because we need more people like you in the entertainment industry. So thank you!

I don't know, this might be a silly question - but I would like to know how do you strength a relationship with God? I don't know much about the Bible. I love hearing scripture when people talk about it but also don't know much. I feel like you are right. I do only seek him when I pray at night before I fall asleep. But I want to change that! I just wonder how to get there. Trust me when I say that you guys aren't alone in your hardships. At the end of the day just know that good will come. God bless you guys. The best advice we can give is to start talking to HIM daily!!! Like you would your best friend! He is always there listening! He wants to hear everything you have to say. Talk about your day. What you are thankful for... what you hope to change. Nothing is too small or too big! So don't be afraid to just start talking! :D

Honestly anytime you think about it talk to him. Like every time I get in the car I say a little prayer that I will arrive safely. Any time your even feeling blessed thank him for it. God is always there listening.

It's crazy how close this hits home for me and I'm feeling exactly how Carlos feels rn. But I constantly go back to a video of Oprah talking about God and how she just surrenders all to God for her role in the color purple and it really spoke to me and consoled me. Thank you, I'm really grateful for you guys being so honest and genuine with us

and I'm not doing it for attention but about 8 years ago my mom passed away and obviously theres so much more in between then and now but its all but ups and downs and right now especially the last couple years I've been so tested in my faith and I've lost so many friends who i thought were friends and idk. its all just a journey I've been waiting for God to answer my prayers finally with a home and friends. but i love you guys and if you could pray for that that would be awesome! i live in california! OC, and it would be so cool to meet you guys one day and talk to you in person. i look up to you both so much and you're both always in my prayers

My fave thing Lex said was "God is not a genie". I think so often we come to God after a period of time when we've drifted and we ask for something when we haven't given Him OUR love and OUR time. Carlos and Alexa you guys have been such a blessing to me, but to so many others. Los I'm praying for you in this time of distance from God. Sometimes we can't feel the love. you are as close to God as you want to be and i believe that if your spirit is willing then your life will become better and better as you get closer and closer. Alexa i'm also praying for you and the baby that is on the way. You are such an encouragement to me and a great source of advice. You guys are AMAZING!! Love how genuine and REAL you both are. Honestly that's the reality of life and LIFE WITH JESUS!!! Sometimes you'll be screaming from the mountains tops and sometimes you'll be in the valley screaming for dear life. But I love that God promises that he will never ever leave us or forsake us. In these moments it helps me to ask God to show me how make this rut I'm in a teachable moment for someone else I will one day come across because it's always about people. God show me how to walk in victory so when I come across someone who is going through the same thing I can let them know that they are not alone. I think this video has help people more than you think!! Never forget who you and whose you are. You belong to HIM so you will always be VICTORIOUS even in the darkest season. wow this video was the BIGGEST blessing I could've asked for tonight. I've been having a rocky time along with having a pretty bad anxiety attack tonight, and came out of it feeling called to watch this video that I hadn't seen year and had been saving for who knows when, not realizing that God knew exactly when I would need it. Hearing you openly talk about your strengths and weaknesses in your faith reassured me that not only its normal to be frustrated and begging God for help, but that leaning on prayer and scripture will lead me through the darkness and back into light. A little more peace has been restored to me through this video and I feel like I can finally breathe again. y'all are a true blessing and your amazing faith inspires me so much to be a light in the world like you are. thank you thank you thank you!
Thank you for sharing this guys! I've missed you and all of these things are so true! Something that I wanted to share with you guys! Specifically you Carlos, so one of my favorite singers and worship leaders taught somewhere on Growing in Intimacy with the Lord, and one of the biggest points I got from it was a word she was given, she at the time was just going through a desert and she was going through what you were, she felt just so dry and was like "Where are you God?!" And 3 times, 3 different people gave her the word Hosea 2:14, and the 3rd person gave her an article that went deeper into the scripture, Hosea 2:14 says "But then I will win her back once again. I will lead her into the desert and speak tenderly to her there" (it goes on and it's a great passage!) and so that time in a desert is actually a time where God wants us to go deeper and to pursue Him more and to press in even more, it isn't easy to walk this life! But it is so rewarding, and I will definitely be praying
I hope this encourages you guys and well right now, my family and I are moving next week, we have been packing and we are ready and we know this is God, the one thing is, it is a bit of a drive of where a lot of our life is taking place right now and with saving for house items and etc, we also will be needing a new car, we know God is glorious and had richly blessed us, we just have been really stretched in many ways (all good) and just need grace for the coming school year and the coming move and everything! Just spend time & make time with God. Listen to worship music ,focus completely on being who God wants you to be and get into your word. I can't stress how important it is to read your bible when trying to grow with God it helps so much and makes your day so much better and have better motives each day if you read it in the morning and or before you go to sleep. Also speak to a pastor or strong person in faith about growing with God.

+Janae yes actually just look up the bible app & you can read anything in the bible you want to ,also there's some really good daily devotionals that I love on there ,I would suggest reading like a chapter a day of the bible it helps me to just read that or when I'm feeling it a little more. Phillipians ,Corinthians and Romans are some of my favorite chapters to read!!
JW Library is a GREAT app. you can download different versions of it and any language. it let's you highlight and bookmark anh chapters and verses.

Thank you all for being the voices you are! It's heart warming to listen to you all talk about your lives and God and your beliefs. That's unfortunately really rare today. I recently just got out of a three year "test". I got really sick after high school and we couldn't figure out what was going on. I had every medical test you can thank of done, no results. Doctors galore, no clue what to do. Food allergies popped up left and right, and I went three years with almost ten different foods I couldn't eat.... Not even if it was in the ingredients. It tested friendships, I lost some of them, but got closer to others... Etc. BUT after my last surgery something went right. I had severe pain every day for three years, and haven't had it since I woke up out of my surgery. I have been able to eat anything I want, and I know that I owe it all 100% to God. The King of all kings. Prayer works, trials end when God knows it's time, we just have to be sure we are staying with Him the whole way.
I want you guys to know that my husband and I totally understand. We have been married almost 9 yrs. we've realized during that 9 yrs that it truly is just us and God walking through this world. He brings people in and out of our lives and we have friends whom we love but when it comes down to real life moments like you guys are walking through, it was just he and I and Jesus. Our families are gone or car cra as you said lol. Build on that relationship it will strengthen your marriage like you never could imagine. Pray for discernment and wisdom to know who is in your life for the right reasons. Rely on each other and fully on Christ. We are moving to be full time missionaries and once again we find ourselves "alone" in this journey but we are so blessed to have each other and our babies to walk through this time with Christ and allow him to use us for his will. ❤️❤️❤️ you both! Keep up the fight and keep glorifying God in all you do :)
I find in the moments when I feel God is farthest away, those are the moments I have pulled away and didn't even know it. Or like this month God was trying to really get my attention and used really stressful situations to help me realize I needed to just be still and let him have the control I wanted to have. Draw near to God and he will draw near to you ;)
Alexa, that is so neat that you spoke about what it means to have a relationship with God. I was speaking with a friend & she said she & her husband were talking how sometimes that feel lime they ate just trying to be good people, rather than pursuing a life like God. Sometimes is can be so difficult to know the difference. I love watching your blogs & getting a glimpse into the imperfect, but God-honoring & exciting life of two (soon to be three) people who love each other so much. Keep doing what you're doing & loving God. Don't be discouraged by the way of the world, but be encouraged by the eternity you have to look forward to!
If God brings you to it he will get you through it. I feel that way a lot. I love watching you guys. You definitely cheer me up and give me a different perspective in life. I would love to have friends like you in my life. Brings stay at home mom of a 2 year old can really test me everyday. Not having any friends that have children around my sons age is really hard. Being alone everyday all day with no one to talk to can be really hard. I wish I could work but daycare would be more then what I make. I pray about finding something that can help our family with bills and such but I'm feeling a bit defeated lately. I just feel stuck. I love my son more then anything but how can I make others happy if I'm not happy in my life and situation. Sorry this is so long I felt the need to open up. I will pray for you guys and your little one. I just feel better after watching you. Thank you for doing these vlogs and being so open and vulnerable.

This brought me to tears because I am in the exact same position, Carlos. I know what I need to be doing to have a good relationship with God, but I feel like I'm talking to nothing sometimes. It's so frustrating. I look up to you guys so much. I love that you're so genuinely kind hearted. I love y'all and you always put a smile on my face! I would absolutely love to meet you one day! Man, I needed this so much! God is faithful and on the right time he will console you and show you the path that's best, we just have to believe that, even if you don't feel God, even if you are mad and frustrated, you have to believe it. And don't be afraid to admit to God how you truly feel, just the day before yesterday I was in my knees saying to God "Listen I don't believe you change people, I haven't seen that play out in my life, and if you don't change people then this faith makes no sense" and in just these past two days he has shown me that his word is true and that we gotta work to believe it, he consoled me through this video by giving me a conversation with someone going to the same struggle that I am and still seeking God and that showed me that I was not alone and what Alexa said gave me perspective, it was almost like I sat in bed with you guys, and there is nothing more beautiful that sharing your struggles and be encouraged & not judged and have someone pray for you.
That's when I see Jesus, I watched this video late last night and earlier that day I broke down crying in the car with my dad and brother because of some things that were going on that were overwhelming, and when I was crying I was mad at God, and when I got home and saw this video I felt this peace and immediately realized God is faithful, and that's the hope that I hold on to on hard times, even if I don't see him working or if I don't feel him I know that something that I believe, not because someone thought me, but because I've seen it over and over again, is that God is faithful and he always comes through. "Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done." - Philippians 4:6

This has to be my favorite vlog to date 💙 definitely will add the three of you to my prayers to find peace and comfort for whatever you may be going through. I totally understand the feeling of wondering where God may be during rough times. my Grandma recently passed away and it's hard to find that peace when your heart is broken. I love that she is reunited with her family and the Lord but for us still on earth there is a struggle. I know God will slow a sign when the time is right. +Oliviaxx well being a Christian is also agreeing with the Bible completely. In the bible God created man and woman to be married and be joined as one, not man and man or vise versa. But the majority of people always be rude to Christians because they say because we don't agree with them, we don't love them and that we hate them. That is absolutely the opposite. God calls us to love and we do. I have a really close cousin to me that is gay and 2 that are lesbian. I love them to death but I don't agree with what they choose to decide.

Thank you both for being so open about your trials in your lives, that truly everybody goes through too! I can't imagine how hard at times it may be in front of the camera but for people like me who genuinely appreciate you both I am so happy to be able to relate on that level with you! I just finished one of my bible studys through James today through Women Living Well and I learned that prayer should not be the last resort in our lives in any situation, good or bad! Prayer is so powerful when you are praying for the right reasons. This is something that I am currently working on too! :) Thank you for your candor and I will pray for you both for peace and strength! 💗

I started watching your vlogs awhile ago and have just been side tracked and decided to watch a couple today. And this was exactly what I needed to hear today! I have been a Christian my whole life but yet there are times when I really struggle to have that relationship with Christ. What you said about how you can't just expect a relationship by spending 5 minutes with someone every day hit home for me. That's exactly what I have been doing. It's been on my heart that I really truly need to put that relationship first and devote more time throughout my whole day! Thanks for the reminder! Thank you for speaking truth and being open! Thank you so much for not being afraid to be real on TH-cam for everyone to see. I don't think you have any idea how many people you are touching just by being open and honest. This video was literally everything that I have been struggling with recently. My best friend and I are on break from college and far away from each other and without being with each other for spiritual encouragement we have really been struggling with our faith-life. It feels good to know that I'm not alone. I will definitely keep your precious little family in my prayers!

I loves seeing Carlos in a place of difficulty and that may sound horrible to say but the reason is because it makes me feel like we all have difficulty and seeing one of my biggest inspiration in a difficult spot made me think about how everyone goes through stuff like that and it made Carlos so much more real to me. I've always known him as a celebrity and seeing him like this makes him seem more normal and honestly makes my faith stronger. I've been really struggling with my faith for the last few years (since my mum got diagnosed with cancer and my mental health got really bad) and I just wanted to thank you because I was really angry with God and you guys being so genuine and such strong members of the Kingdom, has really helped me re-evaluate my faith and consider what I can do to strengthen my relationship and rebuild it. So thank you for helping to lead me back to God, slowly but surely. I'm still struggling with my faith but hearing that even such a strong Christian like Carlos has difficulty sometimes gives me a bit more hope. I loved what Alexa said about how it's a relationship that needs work and time, just like any other. Basically, I really love you guys and are sending such positive thoughts and prayers your way! I love this vlog. It was honest, real and once again inspiring!
I have been struggling with my faith for a long time. But these vlogs inspired me to take a different approach. And my faith really has grown stronger because of it and it has been life changing. I pray daily, sometimes in the form of a small mantra. Whenever something good happens I thank Him and whenever things don't go the way I want I remind myself things happen for a reason, even if it is not clear as to why. And all this has lifted like weight off my shoulders and I feel so much better.

I am sitting here watching this on my lunch break at work and I am here in my office sobbing because Carlos it's like you were talking about my feelings. I have been through a lot of personal struggles lately and I have been questioning a lot where God is. But then Alexis when you talked about maybe you weren't seeking God fervently you were talking to me...God really spoke to me through you and I really needed that this week. Like no matter what I did it was never gonna be right. But I look back on that season as such a blessing because I dug so deep into God's word and found more of me through getting deeper into the Lords heart.
