John Deere Closed Frame 300 series Identifying them by year and features Part 1 1975-1978 300-316K

Previously on the channel I made a series on the John Deere 100 and 200 series identifying them by year as well as going over the yearly changes. Figured now since I have some 300 series as well as knowledge on them and am fortunate enough to have all the major models where the most changes were made I would throw some videos together on them for you guys to help if your looking for information on them.

The 316K is the most underappreciated machine of the entire 300 series, imo. An extremely capable machine.

Nice over view of these machines. I have two 314"s, one getting an H2 swap and the other is getting a Kubota Z482 engine swap, H3 hydraulics and duel brakes from a parts 317. Also going to get a 317 in the spring, have a sleeve hits for one and building a 3 point for the diesel 314.

I have a video on it on the channel. I use a site called tractor data you type in what you have in the search it will show a list of years and serial numbers that started that year
