I certainly will. Got some anemones growing in my front garden so I won't even need to visit a florist's. Thanks for another wonderful clip where your passion and thoughtfulness shines through.
This was sooo helpful! I've been putting off buying lighting because I have been afraid of off-camera lighting and focus stacking. But you make it look doable and, most importantly, FUN! I'm going to go ahead and purchase my lighting setup now! Thank you!! :)
@@AndrewLanxonPhotography I do think I will try this type of macro. I absolutely enjoyed the idea and the video. I loved your final shots and I am already thinking about different flowers as well. 🌺
Andrew, you’re quickly becoming my favorite TH-camr! My husband gave me a macro lens for Christmas and you’ve given me the ambition to try something at home. THANKS! Love the images, BTW! I have a Z7 so I’m looking forward to trying the auto focus.
I've been doing a lot of macro the last year or so but I usually try garden shops or the local outdoor mall hanging basket. This I can use buying an assortment or bouquet a week and being able to take my time composing the shot with a handheld light flashlight or torch to come from behind. I have tried focus stacking but not on a tripod and with a remote. Inspired again...thanks.
Thanks for a really good video, great ideas to try out. It is interesting how much you can see the flowers moving at around 11:00 minutes in the video, I am interested was the tripod leg touching the table, or is it just movement from the floor, as it is not like you are moving that much ?
Lovely stuff. I really appreciate what you do, as it’s not devoted to insect macro macro. The last time I left a comment was when I was critical of aggressive post processing - but that was really due to my being color blind!
I picked up some 'subjects' to photograph......my neighbour was not happy!!! 😂😂 Great tutorial Boss thank you. (Just kidding, I didn't really steal anything honest!)
Yep, it's called focus bracketing and it takes a series of imaging, automatically moving the focus through the frame. you still need to merge them yourself later on though. I'm actually using an R5 here, but I checked the R6 has this function too.
Who wants to try this easy project themselves?
I certainly will. Got some anemones growing in my front garden so I won't even need to visit a florist's. Thanks for another wonderful clip where your passion and thoughtfulness shines through.

Great video. You have inspired me to "have a go".
That’s great to hear! Thanks for watching!
This is an excellent idea. I can’t wait to go buy some flowers and start photographing them with my new macro lens.
Great shots.
Thanks Gary!
Thank you for the really nice inspiration. I go right now and get some sunflowers.
great video. thanks andrew
Awesome shots and great idea for doing some things at home. Thanks Andrew.
Thank you so much,Tamara! Do you think this is one you'll try yourself?

Love how these came out. I just got a macro lens so I’m definitely looking for inspiration and this video helped.
Beautiful images. Definitely going to give this a go.
Thanks Sharon, good luck giving it a go, it's a really fun project to try at home!

This has inspired me. What mode mode are you using?
Excellent video Andrew, what is the make model of the mini tripod and clamp please.? Many thanks Dave.
Thanks Andrew, for a great video, did you see the small insect above the whitish drop at 16:22.
I am doing it the same way the video shows with a Canon R10 and a Canon RF 100 400 m with 2 close up lens and photo stacking up to a 100 pictures.

Can I use my 24-70 or 70-200?

Thanks so much, Snoogly, I really appreciate you taking the time to engage with my videos!

Haha don't worry Andy, I won't tell them!
Is that the RF or EF 100mm?
Really nice
Andrew, what is the power of your light? Just curious!
Hi Mike, I'm using an Interfit LM8 LED light here which is a 100W light and I'm using it at max power, so it's chucking out quite a bit of light!
R6 has an focus stacking function ? Are you sure ? Please make a video about that, I don t find it in the menu.

When photostacking do you move just the focuspoint or do you move the camera ? i do like your videos. Keep´em coming
I usually keep the camera fixed and twist the focus barrel. Thanks for watching!
