Dear brothers, we live today the Transfiguration of our Lord Jesus, who projects to us the endless day when we too shall be as He is; transfigured in body and soul. Our first brothers were dismayed and ecstatic in seeing such magnificence, and asked to remain there together with the Master by placing three tents. Here is the tent, symbolizing the Covenant between God and his people. The first with the Jewish people who led into the promised land, by overcoming slavery of Egypt. The second between Christ and the his people, the Christians, redeemed through his sacrifice, but in spite of this, men in the course of history, have reneged even this Covenant, by turning away from his teachings and Practising another way. Here then that God, in his omnipotence and omniscience, abrogates that covenant and stipulates the third and final covenant with this Island of Love, with this Mother Church, that was in his thought, to recapitulate everything and bring to completion his plan of Love and Redemption for all humanity, so that the authenticity of the faith in Christ the Lord, the only Saviour, could continue to shine in this world. Here is our believing with all of ourselves in the universal message that the Father from this House, where we all have found refuge and shelter, raises up o converge all to find again the way, to be able to discern the truth, in these dark times and thus to be able once again, to see his shining face and routes the people toward this shore; the shore of the White Island, where He has placed His abode. Here is this Church, Ark of the New Covenant between Christ and his children, depository of the Mystery of Salvation for all men of good will. Here is That boat that was ferrying then the first brothers, to the new shore, that was concretized in the Son of God. That shore that saw them abandon an old tradition and a stale faith, to espouse a new and renewed faith in the love of the Son of God. As then so now, here is this boat where we all have boarded, with awareness, without fear, but animated by holy courage and faith in the Son of God, who has never left us, never abandoned us or will abandon us. Because where there is Christ there is joy, there is love. And total is our trust in He who is. "Do not be afraid, it is Me", says Jesus in the Gospel just read. We do not have fear brothers, because here we have recognized Christ, not a ghost. Christ who guides his people with his Holy Spirit and invites us, despite the difficulties of everyday life, invites us not to be discouraged, to have faith, to trust in him, even and especially when the trials intensify and when sometimes we don't succeed in understanding, because dear brothers it is precisely in those moments that Faith, must take over reason, to trust in God and be able to say: "I love you Jesus, I love you so much, I rely on you, do of me what pleases you, may your will be done". And thus to be able to cling to him and become one with his heart and his holy will. Dear brothers, we are sure that we have landed on the right shore. That shore that we have always had clear and shining before us. Without having had to change our faith, or practising any other teachings, than those that the Lord Jesus taught us, and that our first brothers, made known to us with authenticity, throughout the history of Christianity. Let us go forth bringing to all the message of peace and love that rises up from this Land, so that we may live the Kingdom of God, that in this island is fulfilled and thus be able to be reborn again in the spirit, to welcome now and always, He who comes, who is near, who is here. And so be it. God the Father Almighty bless us all in his Holy Name of Father, of Son and of Holy Spirit.
