Could you create a video focused on robot vacuums' performance on thick-pile carpets? It's often overlooked in reviews but very important. Your content is always amazing-thank you!

As someone with decades of technology experience, I am displeased with the poor software especially how it is organized. I can’t imagine a person without much experience with machines controlled by software being able to utilize the vacuum. The instruction manual does not help with anything other than Bluetooth and network connections. The in app manual is no better. How about they add an on or off button in the app. What about a user group to make the menu choices. Really disappointed in Eureka! I’m three days into programming attempts, Including mapping with little to show for it. When it works, it does ok mechanically but every other aspect is substandard. Learned more in ten minutes of your video! Thanks

I will be revising my opinion soon. The vacuum failed to operate as instructed from the app, such as trying to recharge by docking into the station incorrectly. I had a useful discussion with the Eureka support call center very professional discussion! Before returning the vacuum, she suggested a “cold reboot” like with computers and to delete the app and download and install it again. Then she gave me a claim number and said that if it still failed to work properly, then I could return it. I did that and noticed that the app had another update. Result is the vacuum works mechanically as it should. Mapping was perfect. I’ve tested it for three days with great results. The app still needs better organization and considerably more in depth guidance. Now, several days after using the app, I am somewhat functional using it.

Any updates on the narwal? I think that is my number 1 choice. Seems to be the best at milling and definitely best obstacle avoidance.

obstacle avoidance is not as good as I organically thought, still best mopping robot, but it uses a lot of water,

@@JustADadyes otnuse a lot of water bit its right way. When you mopping manually, do you rinse all the time or just add water on mop?
Downside - you have to add water almost every ride or buy kit for plumbing

@@jasonwiltjer9 i mean i watched a video last night of a guy being all like the OA on this wont hit a thing! don't worry about your kids lego, etc. ... as, in the video footage he was using, it 'avoided' some lego, and bumped it as it was passing by. So yeah, there's an example. I guess it did not run it over, so that is good. AFAIK it is the best though, ymmv

well the dirt detect sensor for me is not necessary, because you are the judge, we are not relying on it all the time, but if you saw for instance the dirt in some places you move to region cleaning and select the region you want x3 and mop and voila, but I like your unbiased opinion, i've requested this video specially from you, because I know you do things differently, Also for the hait cutting option, it's a moving hair cutting and it's used for stuck hair in the brush and then sucked up into the internal dirt bag. and also with AI you can select that the object recognition is not accurate and then they'll train the AI engine again based on your photo, and propose it in the next update, i'm not eureka sales person by the way, just a regular guy like you just a dad.
But I agree on the needed detail not mentioned in the manual, a lot that is not mentionnee and no answer for these questions.

You gotta get going with your own money first, then once you gain popularity, companies will start to reach out to you to do reviews (endorse their product). But Just A Dad buys these vacuums with his own money so he can give his honest opinion to us

Thank you for the video! Question: what is the real difference between this robot (USD 999) and the flag ship ones (over USD1500) ? It seems to have the same features. It's kind of confusing

Yeah not impressed with their software. They need an update to get close to the other brands. My brand new Dreame I got does a lot better job. I have a pretty low scale on the ground that the dreame noticed and avoided. I was really hoping Eureka would do a better job. Do you think this one is better than the J20? I would say from what I've seen, Roborocks is getting expensive for what they offer in the midrange.
