Is it suitable for mirror polished surfaces?

Yes. Actually the process could be faster on a polisched surface. Depending on the type of metal and contamination.

could this make a SPI A3 mirror finish into a A1 or optical finish?

Unfortunately it cannot do that magic. We tested this kind of laser cleaning to the medical mold product surface and it changed the structure of the EDM/ machined surface a little bit. At least it did this when using settings to get rid of all of the burned/rusted residue. You can see the stripes with a microscope. It would be an interesting test to see what it actually does to SPI A1 or A2 mirror finish. But I can guarantee it will not get the surface any better.

What's the power of the laser?

This is with our LMX1000. This machine has a 1000W laser source. But we can reach the same cleaning intensity and speed with any of our machines. For a smaller machine we would only need a smaller pattern to match the energy concentration and cleaning speed.
