It's good that this exist. People just need to politely inform tamashii nations about this and hope they'll change them in future versions. I'm still holding out hope that these will live up to their mantle but, like dbz shf first started they need time.
at first i was a bit upset we didn’t start with the new world designs but now i’m glad they get a do-over so the new world versions can hopefully end up better 🥲 hoping this line can bounce back bc i’ve wanted some one piece figures for the longest and VAH are hard to get and have weird scaling, along with the fact SHF is wayyyy more likely to give us all of the straw hats
At $35 and for it to be so lousy is not forgivable. I also collect Marvel Legends besides DBZ SHFiguarts. The standard Legends are between $20-25 and have better articulation and sculpts than ever. Recently I got the newest Trunks from SHFiguarts and while the articulation is great, his joints seperate far easier than any of my older figures. With seeing this One Piece line’s drop in typical expected quality, I truly hope this isn’t a sign that SHFiguarts is sacrificing quality for profits based on past reputation..
Naruto came with 5 faces, a kunai and a Rasengan. You telling me we couldn’t get stretched arms and legs? At the bare minimum?

Yo, dope review! It sucks that they seemed to have given the One Piece figures less love and attention to detail. I might have to wait until they perfect the tech and articulation for them. Hopefully they get a rerelease. And the Zoro getting lost bit was hilarious! Mans really loves his booze 🤣

Yes his quality is the best out of the monster trio but as a kid that gets a bunch of old toys with little to no articulation and quality…besides Zoro (which I don’t have but the video showed perfectly) these are good figures

I’d still recommend if you want One Piece figures just be aware of their common QC issues

So far it seems like the lower bodies have been the main issue. Makes me a lil worried for Sanji since his whole thing is kicking.
I like both figures personally, and I must have been really lucky that the only issue with my zoro is just the leg articulation range. But now looking at these figures, I’m thinking tamashii might have purposefully hijacked this line.

This video is sums up everything so far with the one piece line. Very big fan of one piece as well sh figuarts and when I got this figure very disappointed. There’s not much we can do to improve figures like this, how ever I have hope for two things. 1- I hope the rest of the one piece line does not have these QC issues or design flaws and 2- I hope they release a better design zoro and Luffy in 6 inch. Great video !!
Really enjoyed this vid overall, subscribed! I enjoyed how you used figs to convey emotions throughout, was v fun. The comparisons were great too. My only suggestion is to maybe lower the bg music a bit. Looking forward to your future content, keep it up!

I just recently got an shf Luffy, and I was honestly expecting him to be as awful as everyone says he is, but there’s literally nothing wrong with mine. Idk if y’all just got shitty models or what, but mine is great. He’s been holding the Gear 2 pose for almost 24 hours now on my shelf, doesn’t fall apart at all, and he’s just overall a great figure. Still am mad abt not having any rubber or armament haki hands tho. And I do wish he came with the black jacket and a rope on his hat😔

Ok so funny story about the luffy figure, recently got this figure thinking it would be quite fire, but oh boy was i wrong, first of all, arm articulation is ASS. its overly stiff and not to mention one of their arms come off very easily, and of course the leg articulation is also ass, honestly very disappointed cuz i am a huge one piece fan and i've been dying to get a one piece figure, so yea that sucks. atleast posing him is quite fun tho

i recently searched my first one piece figur and i wanted monkey, i saw this figure in my favourite online shop but instantly saw few things i didnt liked(faces look "evil"psychopathic instead of angry, no shading at all, not much accecoirs), so i watched a comparison with imagination works and even they are much more expensive and another scale, they were much better in any area of the figure. Good i saw your review on zorro, gave you a like for saving me money and anger.
You know, I could agree that this S.H Figuarts lineup receives it's own flaws considering how terrible the articulation goes. Like, I thought that some of their articulation may be good at first, but in the end, it isn't that much of an good articulation those figures were having.
No thanks Tamashi, I'll just stick to my DBZ Figuarts. those are really great figures of my choice, heck, even said the Figma Fate too.

The zoro bicep issues are dependent on how you press the bicep in, you can take off the whole arm and press the shoulder in and it’ll be tight
I don't get why they are so mad about the parts getting off, just add sticky tack and you are good. I did it myself with my S.H figuarts Miles Morales

That arm issue with zoro has to be a recent issue with all of sh figuarts lines. Cus i've gotten the same defect with my kid naruto figure and ive heard some people having that issue with their trunks rerelease.
i looked at your other vids vs this ond i think you should make more like these it lets your personality leak into the vid instead of it just being a quiet review with music in the back i wsih to see more
Tbh I think the zoro with arm and tourso popping off is just your figure mine came in great nothing popped off I can pose it how ever I want and nothing comes off
it’s a SUPER common qc issue tho, like this was happening even in the streams shf was showing the figure off so if your figure doesn’t do that you just won the lottery
luffy can’t do any of his iconic moves due to lack of accessories and can’t do 90% of his iconic poses due to lack of articulation, so disappointing. at least the sculpt on both of these figures we’ve gotten so far is beautiful even if it’s only skin deep.
naruto was a budget release and they still at least had the common sense to give him a rasengan, meanwhile zoro is twice the price and you would still think he’s a budget release with the way they handled him and skimped on options as well (not being able to swap bandana faces is insane).
Mind boggling that garp has no action figure from an actual legit brand despite being one of the most love please recommend some garp figures that is poseable very hard to find garp figures that's actually possible and not a custom..
Just a little tip if you didn’t know you can slightly mod the luffy to fully so he can bend his legs by just removing the back piece of his shorts you can do this by just putting him in hot water to loosen the peg part on there, it kinda solves the issue of being able to pose him facing frontwards but you can also put them back if you’d like /loved the video btw :))

The thing I find funny is that the Shf Naruto is the same price but he comes with 4 face plates and 3 pairs of hands and a rasingan
If you have the Sentinel Miles Morales or can find a good review of it, he has shorts you can swap on, and I love how they engineered it, where his legs go up into the shorts, there’s a ball joint, adding more movement and the illusion of the shorts having physics when moving the legs, but more importantly, it’s made of this nice soft plastic, thin, but in a way that feels premium and gets out of the way for knee articulation, something SHF didn’t do with Luffy. If they had done this, even though I don’t watch One Piece, I might have bought Luffy.
These figures look gorgeous, the sculpt and everything is great. But zoro is the worst when it comes articulation and Luffy is great. But his shorts do prevent his legs from bending all the way back but it's still good. I figured out how Zoro works. So I am planning on taking him apart at the waist and taking the jacket skirt off to either soak it in hot water to make it more flexible or make some cuts to it so it has more give when i bend his legs. I know they should of engineered him better but they didn't. I still love the presentation. The sculpt looks great. 🤷
Ngl figuarts is cheating us out of money the prices are getting high and we’re just not getting enough for the price tag I started collecting other lines like Furay toys and furry figures they give way more accessories for the price this line seems really mid only one im getting is gear 5th luffy

I just got mine last night, and it could use a lot of improvements BUT I LOOOOOOVE IIIIITTTT!!!!
So far I cancelled both Luffy and Zoro, I think Sanji will come out better
Can’t speak for Zoro and Sanji, but I really don’t get the hate for Luffy. To be honest, I don’t know what people are doing to that figure to fall apart so easily. I have the guy for almost 2 weeks now, have been posing the hell out of him and nothing falls off or anything. I can get him in a damn good Gear 2 pose (which some people claim he can’t even do, which is nonsense), except that he can’t look up high enough, but the pose itself is great. The parts that do come off more easily are specifically designed for that very purpose, he’s basically a build-a-figure with new parts coming with each release (Gear 5 Luffy has extended arms that will fit on this version for sure). When you know why the figure is designed the way it is, and treat it in the way it is intended, I honestly don’t see how people can mess him up so easily. Again, I can’t speak for Zoro and Sanji but I expect pretty much the same.
Hopefully they do like versions with their post timeskip colors that fix alot of the design issues (i dont want all the figures to he wano designs since that arc is basically over now)
The anime heroes line so far for me actually hasn’t been that bad, I have Sanji and Chopper so far, getting Usopp and Brook today, eventually want to get the rest of the line as well
The Luffy, seems to have good articulation and my other anime heroes have great paint apps so I assume it’ll be the same, my biggest gripe is not having a hat on his head, so I’ll just buy an extra one, maybe broken or at least used, and seemed some of his hair off so you can have the hat on there, he’ll look dumb without it, so you just switch to the other head when you want it on his back, or maybe when I get it in hand I’ll be able to dremel the hat and the hat so it fits together okay but doesn’t look awful when it’s off
With Zoro I want to go all over and take a head of his (maybe even just make a head from scratch, might not even buy an extra Zoro head for it but idk probably will do colors match better) dremel the hair down, take miliput and make his bandana, then dremel his face out so he can hold a sword with his teeth and then paint it to look like a yelling face
I really hope at some point Anime Heroes does a wave of pre time skip versions of them so we can get a Zoro in just a white shirt, or maybe where he has the red striped one over it, maybe just as an accessory, and a pre time skip Chopper and Franky and Brook with just the top hat so he’s less too heavy
I’m really impressed with the chopper figure, the extra face plates and arms are neat and look good on the shelf and his articulation isn’t half bad, would love to see this tech in a figure for pre time skip
My Brook and Usopp come with an extra Sanji so I’ll either sell him or make a version where he has a cigarette in his mouth and one of his hands has a cig in it for posing

You told me about the Sanji fig…..and I got the Zoro joint and it SUCKED!!!!! The swords broke that go one hip…..I have a shit ton of figs and never broke anything, took that crap right back at!!! All of them look dumb as hell for being trash to a great anime.

I'm still trying to figure out how they f***** up Luffy so bad. I have the figure and as soon as I took it out the packaging it I knew it was game over. Yes the right leg will fall off on every Luffy anyone buys. It's a small straight peg holding on both legs. It's a 40$ toy and it's made like i paid 10$ for it. SH fig fucked up because there's no way I'm going all in on the line after Luffy

This is a great video!! But I think figuarts did this on purpose to rerelease them better down the line. Luffy not having stretchy parts should tell you everything you need to know.

awesome vid as always! my only problem is the effects, why isnt that just there.. I swear theyve been super super stiff with the accessories. And just me personally, im not gonna buy from a third party or bootleg. If im paying 65$+ i DESERVE more accessories.. idk no one seems to be as upset about this as me. Im not asking for a million things, because i got the JJK line and Yuji comes with very limited stuff, the basics. The thing that sends him over is his effects. Its literally one small fist effect, but without that youre literally missing core parts of the character. Look at the one piece line. Its not early into the manga its late, they all have their powers so they SHOULD come with stuff but they dont. Im not even a one piece fan and im rubbed the wrong away about it. Idk like i said i dont want a whole box of accessories, but a rage head, and like hand effects should be standard espessically with these prices, because if not youre forced to buy from third party and idk why they want that, arent they tryna take my money in the first place? smh all i know is its made me very picky on what i get and what i dont.
also none of this is even touching the QC issues lately.

There is a hang for luffys hat and haki with other cool arm extensions

The odd engineering of this Luffy is weird and that Zoro is meh, not sure why they used an Ab crunch on luffy like Marvel legends what is this Hasbro 😂 sadly SHF One piece is so far not strong unlike Dragon ball and Naruto line.
