There are 81 chapters. Each chapter is like a encoded poem. You are giving more than 1 hour 30 minutes to just 1 chapter. Great🙏🙏

This talk reminds me of something my Buddhist teacher used to say. "Desire is a false promise. It makes you feel incomplete now, and promises you that if only you have that 'thing', you will be complete, your life will be better". But of course, it's a false promise, because as we have that thing we desired, the feeling never lasts and there are more things to desire more, and the cycle goes on. Just like you said, the key here is contentment and feeling complete in the present moment.
Interesting video as always, Jason. Best of luck to you and Ga Young 🙏

These really are so good. Once you slow down and take the time to really listen to you unpack the Tao Te Ching, it's the best and leads to almost immediate insight. Thank you J and G!

I love these podcast that deal with the Tao. With Taoisim I learned to observe nature without judgement or criticism. I have found Zealots in every spirtual system. But of all the spirtual philosophies, Daoisim in its original form, encourages a system devoid of judgement or the need to arrogantly change people or for that matter nature to suit programmed attitudes or judgement of how things should be. It has brought me great peace and I love the interpretation of you and your wife. Taoisim does not condone zealous attitudes no matter what spirtual philosophies you choose to follow. Thanks again Brother for your deep interpretations.

The purpose of commercial Advertising is to make people feel inadequate so that they believe they need the things advertised to make up for the inadequacy they feel.

Something that I've always wondered is, isn't society nature as well? So let's say pollution, nuclear war, global warming.. Isn't that nature taking its course? If humans are so foolish to kill themselves off, then that could leave room for an even greater species to arise.

The things that you describe, belong to countrys that are in constant search of more power and influence, it's the opossite from taoism.
This kind of goverment always intervenes in the life of people, making more dificult to the spontanous order and the "invisible hand" to do their own things.
This is something that the father of economics as science Adam Smith wrote in 1700.

structure society restricts flow Tao. Drop socialization & putting gifted on pedestal. In nature are all same. moral hypocrites. Be real self. Desire created by seeing others wealth sucks & is fake. Pop culture/ competing for status is dead asf. Culture/artificial needs - omg fake way is gross. Trolls & hate grow in fake in ure head competitive culture. simple natural life is dope. come from place of Tao - surrender, don't fight flow. Don't interfere others lives! scholarship may be cool, also communicating (not fake) - only fill stomach. Careful how help - may spoil good life by "helping" (poor). Real talks only best. Love them! best life - if nothing done, life an organism. thanks guys! love and singing from, Bernardo.
