I bought 2 of this MQ6. I thought 1st one is broken so I ordered another one. Turned out that both are working fine. To get it work without Arduino, make sure you battery is not drained out. Same wiring as the video. But when connect a buzzer, you'll probably hear long continuous beep from buzzer. This is the reason I thought mine is broken. I immediately remove the buzzer and assume it's broken. Actually you should let it beep until it stops. Mine take around 9-10 seconds. You'll probably see green led come up on one side of the module. Adjust the potentiometer until the green led goes dark. Now test the gas sensor with cigarette lighter. I finally got both sensors to work. Hope you get it work too.

You can use female to female or female to male wires. Then cut the pin from one end and take the wire out. Connect that wire to the battery and buzzer

There is a potentiometer on the back side of sensor. Can you please adjust that and try ?
