Cable companies figured this out years ago. People aren't subscribing to traditional cable TV. They're converting each one of us slowly to streaming customers. The movie industry is stubborn, but that's where that is headed too. Why waste billions building a console that only 40-50 million people will buy? Xbox is set up for success starting in 2025. The waves of actual great Game Pass games starts in a few weeks with Indiana Jones and Stalker 2. All Playstation is focused on is remastering remasters.
People play games on the console and on PC. No one's going to play 15 hours of elden ring on a tablet, a TV or iPhone. Doesn't matter if you had a choice. It might as well people want to play and no regular gamers trying to play Fable streaming on the TV. They already said nobody use streaming in the court case. Okay, so they're destroying their console base to try to get customers that aren't there. That's why every time they show their financials the only growth they have is from Activision. Their games already been everywhere for the longest and it's still not showing no real growth. It's crazy
I don't see it that way , they are not destorying their consoles , they are just expending their Business with more Options , so that everyone can enjoy XBOX brand.
Xbox tried to delete PlayStation from the map, don’t you remember those leaked emails months ago? But their strategy with Gamepass FAILED so they have no other option but to go multi platform, they thought that with a cheap console like Series S and Gamepass people would abandon PS and go to Xbox but it failed They aren’t pro consumer like people say FFS, Microsoft is the most anti consumer company ever, they don’t like competition, look at history of windows. They are not the good guys either, they just don’t have any other choice than to go Multi platform!

60 million consoles sold and in the meantime only 1 million Stellar Blade and 1.5 million copies of Astro Bot. They are buying a console to play Fortnite or FIFA and call it a huge success.
I Agree , recently i went to the Best Buy to see how many PS5 Pro's they have and they were all stacked up on the shelves , nobody is in the hurry to buy Pro , i think it says a lot where we are in terms of consoles , Times are changing and i think Services like Game Pass will encourage even Sony to think their Strategy.
