Hey guys. Today's video shows a clear of this week's Grandmaster Nightfall using an Assassins' Cowl arc hunter. Even after the major nerfs it has received since Season of the Plunder, it still can perform surprisingly well in endgame content. It takes a lot more planning than it used to, but it still works. If anyone is planning on trying this build, I warn you now that you will become frustrated. While the build is fun and very strong when it works out as planned, there are so many things that can end runs in SECONDS, and only half of them will be your fault. One example is that Assassins' Cowl has a tendency to not proc at times for no apparent/dumb reasons (seen many times throughout this video), which is very annoying. Balls of steel dude, I never thought to punch the cursed thrall to keep up combination blow or gain invis. Always too scared they’d one shot in a GM.

Yea I loved that run. I really wish it was still possible now, but since the 1-2 punch nerf, removal of some key armor mods, and unstoppable shotgun no longer being on the artifact, it isn't possible to recreate his run sadly. I would definitely recommend giving it a watch though!

Actually not as many times as you think. As long as you keep running with speed boost, the moths can't really catch you, even if you get close to them. Just don't stop!

Is there any game setting you’ve changed FPS? It seems that your bow is a lot more consistent in stunning. Sometimes on a full draw it still doesn’t stun.

Ive been trying this with raiden flux. No succes yet😢. The barriers keep jumping from platform to playltform, so i cant get close fast enough
Yea I actually would have used arcstaff for this run myself, but I changed to gathering storm for the exact reason you mentioned. I wish the boss room made a full ring upstairs so they didn't have anyplace to jump across like that.
@@TimeLord there is a way to force their spawns to the other side, but havent figured it out yet
I am not entirely sure how the barriers spawn in the boss room tbh. One thing I have noticed is that if you start them spawning while you are standing in the center of the room, the 1st wave tends to spawn on the left, the 2nd in the middle, and the 3rd on the right (oriented with your back to the statue). That being said, I have also noticed that if you are standing on the upper ring, the barriers typically (though not always) will not spawn right next to you, breaking the rule stated above. It is weird with apparently many nuances that I have not fully figured out yet.
What are your sensitivity settings TimeLord? If you don’t mind me asking? Do you use kontrol freeks?
I use 800 DPI on my mouse (G-Pro Wireless) and an in game sensitivity of 7. ADS modifier is 1. Im not sure what kontrol freeks is?

just a heads up - looks like the reason cowl isnt procing a lot of the times seems to be because of Shock And Awe having some weird interactions. I reset my artifact and didnt pick it up and it seems that that fixed it

This is good to keep in mind, but I wasn't using shock and awe this run.
@@TimeLord that's strange, I haven't had any issue with AC procing ever since disabling it. Wonder if anything else is causing it?

Any emote that can make your head go throw the wall. If u face on the wall enemies won’t see you but remember when u riding the ferry something it pulls u back and u need to emote again that a tip

Stills works but u won’t kill them in one punch, but do more damage that’s it so I wouldn’t use.
Tractor Cannon does still work. If you have arc surge on the activity, combination blow x3, one-two punch, and tractor cannon, then technically you can still kill barrier champions before they shield (not in one punch though), but it is very very finnicky and in my opinion not really worth doing most of the time. Instead of using tractor cannon, I would recommend conditional finality instead. The only reason I didn't use conditional in this run is because I needed a primary ammo weapon to deal damage to Alak-Hul since I couldn't punch and stagger him with tractor cannon like runs of the past did. This reminds me, another reason we used to use tractor cannon back in the day was because there was unstoppable shotgun on the artifact. Since tractor cannon is technically a shotgun, it would stagger pretty much anything you shot with it, including Alak-Hul. That is no longer the case anymore, soooooo.

It really is. I tried but this time is a little hard to pull it off last season everything was one hit kill on champs and lightbalde guards but this time u have to be really fast on killing them or you’ll be dead
It is, but before it was better, it was unfairly nerfed, before its nerf you could pass GM alone only using the tractor cannon, and shotgun with 1-2 punch.
Yes this a GREAT build but if you have experience don’t just build it and go straight to gms or any higher difficulty.. trust me takes skills and experience.. this guy makes it looks easy but he mastered the BUILD.

how did he ride ferry and not get shot? after watching the whole thing all i can say is WOW
They didn't shoot me because of the emote putting the head of my character into the frame of the boat. When your head is clipped inside of a structure, enemies can't see you and act as if you are not there. It actually works anywhere in the game with many different emotes. All you need is an emote that moves your head to clip inside of a structure. The same cheese can be done on the elevator in the scarlet keep strike and on the warsat in the fallen saber strike, for example. Im glad you enjoyed the video! 😁

I was using the "anniversary pose" emote from the 30th anniversary pack.
So only this GM everyone can do Instead of doing all 6?
The selector node to choose any GM does not come out until week 7 of the season, so we can only do the weekly GM currently.
