Brother, this is such a good review! I really like how you played easily recognizable chords and filmed the pedal itself so we could see the settings as you changed them. You helped me save money which I need in these covid times. I was going to get a Boss DS-1 for $55 but this will cover my needs for only $35. I will upgrade to a nicer pedal eventually but I'm really not picky tone-wise. I play on a Squier affinity HSS strat and an Orange Crush 12. My next purchase is gonna be a budget friendly reverb pedal because I love playing with my Rushead Max headphone amplifier which has a great reverb setting.
I couldn’t get the amount of distortion or tone i was looking for. However, i stacked it with my boss metalzone mt-2 as an overdrive pedal. It helped me get much more leeway in terms of customizing my distortion sound and i have achieved a very great distortion chugging sound because of it. Took me hours, but it’s a great stackable pedal for those struggling with distortion.
Finally someone that makes it sound right, I've been thinking about buying it but all reviews sound like crap, this one is open and high gain, like I though it could be achieved, cheers
AWESOME video, I got that pedal and couldn't get the right sound out of it , but with this video I was able to better understand the control ! thank you so much !
Funny enough. I remember then these pedals started coming out 7 years ago or so. Or at least started showing up a lot. Bought two Donner's back then, still have one. Always looked at this one and just kinda chuckled. Thought it looked silly and nothing i wanted. Years later, here I am looking for a distortion pedal and heavily leaning towards this one. Kicking myself for not getting it then when it was maybe $20.
2:25 A perfect visual description of why an innovative, better, mini knob needs to be made. All I can think of is at least a geometric shape, like a tiny chicken-head knob, so that you could catch it with one finger.
Thanks Tim. Appreciate the rare review of this mostly unknown gem.

thanks dude I appreciate it
I like that you do more heavy downtuned stuff for the demo. It’s a nice change from all the bluesy stuff we see on TH-cam. 👍

That's good to hear, I have a metal zone, but it's too finicky on its own it needs a layer to stand on.
I have never seen such a good review. It's perfect. You showed all we need to know
Dude your a life saver man I’m starting my first band and I settled on the pedal just bc I know donner is good but like you helped set up mine 🤘🏼
I have owned a dozen distortion pedals, some of them expensive. This is my favorite, full stop. And so inexpensive.

Thanks for the review!
I love this little pedal so much. It just kills everything more expensive.

Really good review showing a range of sounds
Man, you got some great homemade gear there, my dude! Awesome to see another soul interested in making his own gems! 🤘🎸
I like this guitar. Cool sounding pedal
This is cool. I gotta get one of these.
Good review 🤘🏻
Can you do a comparison with this and the dinner extreme distortion one
Great video!
I will have to pass simply because of those insanely small knobs. I will keep looking. Thanks!
AWESOME VIDEO SIR. THANKS...
would this one work fine with a bass guitar?
Good review
is this good for tame impala songs like the less you know the better
Hi is it also good for a transistor amplifier?

Is it good for palm mute?
Cool 🔥
Great pedals, great tones.. annoying little fiddly pots
What guitar was used in this vid?
he has a Warmoth guitar. They make high quality parts and instruments. with a EMG 81X, a bit sharper than a standard 81
Top knobs are tiny.
So why the name...?
Why the fish skeleton??
Suhr Riot clone
Contradicting yourself I think it’s too sloppy
ur not even micing ur cab correctly
A lot of the pedal videos I do not mic the cab at all. Just the audio from the camera
