Nabi Muhammed (SAW) had never been to Ethiopia, but Bilal (May Allah be pleased with him) was from Ethiopia but was a slave in Makkah, who was then freed by Abu Bakr (May Allah be pleased with him).
Ethiopia isn't totally Christianity! Its a misconception Ethiopia is known for it's anicent Jewish, Christian, muslim and waqqafecha traditions. Only Abyssinia was totally Christian. Ethiopia isn't Abyssinia.
