We have back yard chickens. I painted the chicken coop purple and I call it the EggPlant. 🥚 I completely understand wanting a mindless project. With 4 kids in 3 different schools, I have learned that at this time in my life simple projects are best. I need projects I can easily pick up and put down at any point. Blankets, hats, and drawstring bags are my go to projects.
I'm doing up a baby blanket and I've ripped out a row and a half last night after finding a mistake and then today I ripped out 4 rows because I found another mistake. At least I found the mistakes early to fix them before I got too far , but I hate ripping out anything especially when I'm on a time crunch 🤥

Oh I know how you feel. We all go through the feelings you're having. Big projects or hard ones I have to break down into pieces. The parts I'm not working on at the moment put out of sight. I can't follow tutorials to make something. I think the stopping and going of the video is a big distraction for me. And you are sooo excited because your daughter is moving near you. I miss my mom! I never thought to add up all the yardage from the yarn I'd crocheted up in a year and converting it to miles. What an intersting but frightening idea! 😯

Don't beat yourself up over tunisian crochet as it is not an easy one to do. Stick to what you enjoy, thats more important.
