Cookie Huffman I'm trying to figure out if you were answering Michael's question or Joseph's question. The, WOW, is making me a little concerned that it might be the latter.
This is my favorite Face to Face so far. It was really great to see him play a bit of Mr. Frump. I had that album on vinyl and I used to listen to it on one of those little record-player-in-a-suitcase things. Also, the interview was hilarious.
Hope the last 10 years found you well. I still agree this was the best of the Face-to-Face and I come back to it every so often. Kinda hoped we'd get another round of interviews since then to promote new albums or Weird Al's movie, but I still enjoy what we have.
@@notme222 Thank you! It's so cool to see a reply to a comment I posted a decade ago. Back then I was hoping for UHF 2. I haven't seen the Radcliffe movie, but I've heard it's good. And wouldn't you know it, ten years later, Weird Al doesn't look any older.
Ok people listen up. 'Mr Frump in the Iron Lung' Is an Al song from way back when on his first album. Look for it. And 'Avocado' is an unreleased song but it was used in the food medley's during Al's 80's tours. Type in 'Weird Al Yankovic - 1984 Food Medley' Better now? :D
8:17 Aaa-vocado What makes you think you're so holy You're gonna be guacamole before too long Oh, you're a green one You know that you're out of season You'd better let somebody eat you Let somebody eat you Ya better let somebody eat you Before it's too late
Wow! That's the first time I saw him do the "Mr. Frump" effect. (And.... yes, for those of you who are picky, "Avocado" is an unreleased parody from decades ago.)
That was fantastic. The timing was perfect. I have met both of these wonderful guys and its certainly strange to see them interacting so digitally fake like.
lol my church does something called "Face to Face" too lol it's very different from this, this is way more entertaining, but there's is very spiritual so both are good. IDK why Al isn't more popular, I think he's hilarious! :D
Y'know, your version of the "to be or not to be" monologue was perfect, except for one little detail: The skull is supposed to go with the "alas, poor Yorick" monologue. Close, Al, but, as you say, no cigar. ;) Oh, and nice Hard 'n' Phirm cameo.
To be fair, "Jack and Jill" with Adam Sandler does make you weep for humanity
anyone can act, truer words have never been spoken...
Uncut Gems was pretty good though
You won the internet 5 years ago. I hope you're well❣️
I can't imagine what the real context could be for any of William's responses.
This was the best face to face!
Cyndi Foster absolutely!
So that's how he done the accordion noises in Mr Frump in the Iron Lung.
oh so THAT'S how he made the iron lung sounds!!
As an accordion player, I am always amazed at his fingerwork.
Weird Al sure is talented alright.
Cookie Huffman I'm trying to figure out if you were answering Michael's question or Joseph's question. The, WOW, is making me a little concerned that it might be the latter.
That’s what she said
Can we all agree that Weird Al staring and saying, “are you having a stroke right now??” needs to become a meme?
Lol @ 5:29 "Are you having a stroke right now?" Hilarious!
I'm still waiting for the episode where one of them turns out to actually be in the studio with Al.
The avacado song was hilarious.
You guys need to make more! This stuff is comedy gold!
Just search "weird al interview"

“Is The a word?” “What’s a dentist?” 😂
This show, with its professional intro and studio setting, make Weird Al seem so legitimate!
He is legitimate and thank you for not saying legit.
probably my favorite one so far. that iron lung song is a gem!
I'd cry if I had to watch Jack and Jill.
I didn't think William Macy could look any creepier
These interviews make me laugh out loud for real which is needed in these Trying times.
5:22 'are you having a stroke right now?' ...I nearly peed laughing 😂
"Are you having a stroke right now?" I almost died laughing.
Please make a second season of this. it's one of the best things nerdist has to offer.
I love surprise Chris Hardwicke (at 8:43)
this is my favorite. i love accordion. and WHM
This is nearly the best Weird Al celebrity interview, but the crazy one with Keith Richards is still Number 1 for entertainment value.
My favorite is the one with Jessica Sampson
I had an ad about avocado skincare before this video. Guess it knew what was coming 😂
The man in the Iron lung song just killed me xD
The avocado song is legit great. Dude is gifted.
Mr. Frump sound effect FTW!!!
Such a talented guy, I love Al. 💙🤍💙
He shovels well, he shovels real well. My hero.
Al looks so lovely in that suit.
Great responses from William! lol
Weird Al quoting Shakespeare was the highlight of my day hahaaa.
I love the guitar absolutely shredding in the beginning, completely unprofessional but hey, it IS a Face to Face with Weird Al!
This is my favorite W.A.Y. interview video yet
This was absolutely brilliant! I enjoyed the artistic labours of love that went into the songs!
What a fantastic interview!
Ten years later, comedic genius!
ten years and two months later, still comedic genius!
Best face to face so far, and I loved the song!
Thank you for answering my request from over a year ago on your Mick Jagger interview. These are indeed hilarious!
Awesome! This vid made my day. Love hearing you perform. Can't wait for the next video and the next song album.
wow. Best one yet. Love the integration with his parodies!
Aaaaaaavacado.....
Tugs at the heart strings, you know?
THE...THE...THE....
Yes, and it's very funny. He's working on a second book, too. The first one was a bestseller on the New York Times book list children's section.
So THAT's how he did Mr Frump's "talking"!
An astoundingly good episode!
This is the best! I’d love to see him interview Kirk Hammett of Metallica. He’s ripe for goofy questions.
Love the songs and your "back-up singers"
Thank you Al, I needed that today.
This was by far the best Face to Face yet
Thanks for showing how you made the iron lung sound effect on Mr. Frump. Another weird AL-lussion explained!
8:17
Aaa-vocado
What makes you think you're so holy
You're gonna be guacamole before too long
Oh, you're a green one
You know that you're out of season
You'd better let somebody eat you
Let somebody eat you
Ya better let somebody eat you
Before it's too late
This series is the only reason I'm subscribed to this channel, Weird Al forever!
laughing my head off... please tell me there are more of these!!
This is your best Face to Face by far!
Macy has no chill at all
Al’s acting reminded me of John Lithgow at the apex of his scenery chewing.
Why have Al never officially made Avocado?
WEIRD AL!!!! He's amazing.
I think that may actually be his first song parody of The Eagles
Wow! That's the first time I saw him do the "Mr. Frump" effect. (And.... yes, for those of you who are picky, "Avocado" is an unreleased parody from decades ago.)
I WANT MY ALTV.
That was fantastic. The timing was perfect. I have met both of these wonderful guys and its certainly strange to see them interacting so digitally fake like.
This one has to be the best so far
These are getting funnier and funnier!! It's making me weepy :D
Mr. Frump in the Iron Lung was on his first album.
Best episode yet! He should release a full version of "Avacado".
(Casually playing on accordion as if its the easiest thing in the world.)
Mr. Frump is actually from his 1982 debut album.
lol my church does something called "Face to Face" too lol it's very different from this, this is way more entertaining, but there's is very spiritual so both are good. IDK why Al isn't more popular, I think he's hilarious! :D
Mr.Frump IN the iron lung and it's on his first album....
I really like the long ones the best.
This just made my day.
One of the best I've seen.
This was the best one yet!
Great...Now we need the Avocado song on iTunes!
Bill Macy looks like Yosemite Sam here.
Oh, so that's how he made the iron lung sound in that song!
Lmfao William horndog Macy.
Yesterday was Al's 53rd birthday. Happy birthday for yesterday Al.
Now he turned 63 last month. 😄
Y'know, your version of the "to be or not to be" monologue was perfect, except for one little detail: The skull is supposed to go with the "alas, poor Yorick" monologue. Close, Al, but, as you say, no cigar. ;)
Oh, and nice Hard 'n' Phirm cameo.
Al got totally owned on this one!
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another great interview XD
I still think this is the best one of these he did.
That is closer to mental illness than acting. Perfectly sums up Weird Al.
Russell Brand is England's version of America's beloved Weird Al Yankovic
It's like between two ferns, but the fern is on Als head and they are both in different rooms.
he really has a kid's book then
2019 anyone
Great final episode for the season!
This is the best one. Avocado!!
"Mr. Frump" is an old one, from "Weird Al"'s first album, the self-titled "'Weird Al' Yankovic".
Al should bring Al TV to cable TV..
This is the best one! 😂
Bill is a nickname for William
thegertbag no shit
Shit hasn't changed since the '80's. I love it.
Best Face to Face yet!
F2F is a good way to carry out the interviews like with ALTV, too bad about ALTV, that show made MTV worth watching.
