I am so bummed with this! I want this, I really do, but for God's sake allow some reverb, and maybe 5 sounds. Something. I don't know, it's just right, except for the lack of some sounds. Maybe I misunderstand MIDI, but you could run the board through your computer, and tie the DAW sounds in your computer to the keyboard? And play those through monitor speakers maybe?
Yeah I know right? Very limited in options here. But I guess that’s what they were going for. I don’t know if you could run midi out and then audio back into the keyboard to play through the internal speakers. It seems unlikely to me but.. ? For sure you could run midi out and then use headphones or speakers from your computer.
hmm, no that doesn't sound like a normal response. Always double check the headphone jack is pushed in all the way. With all keyboards, usually the speakers will be either on or off when headphones plugged in, not diminished in volume.
Hello from 🇨🇦 You’re a great pianist ! I see that this is a sponsored video- I am beginner-intermediate level ( I play by ear and cannot read music for the life of me so I’m slow and self taught) and have just been using a cheap Alesis which sounds horrible the more I play. I like this one aesthetically, but wonder if you have a different recommendation for a keyboard that’s as close to sounds like a piano as possible ? Idk if that’s even possible but my place is too small for a real one 😢 so far it seems this is the best option but if you have any other recommendations, I’d love to hear them !
Thank you! Best advice I can give is to go to a music store and play many different options until you can find one you like. The Donner definitely is not a bad choice, but you may find others that feel better or sound better to you. To me, the way that the action matches the sound is very important, but that is a subjective experience so it's best of you find one that is agreeable to your ear and fingers :-) good luck!
Not many frills, as you said, but the sound was quite good even through the iPhone. But then again you could make a keyboard from Radio Shack sound stellar.
that's an interesting idea! I think you probably could do it. Each leg has a square end with 4 screw holes in it. I don't see why each leg couldn't just be rotated 180 degrees to face inward. You could also get just any old keyboard stand that you like and put the keyboard on it without using the legs that come with it.
Hi Arthur - thank you for your review. My daughter is 4 and just started lessons and I was considering Donner as a mid level piano. There are some mixed reviews from pianist but I’m hoping this piano will give us a few years. If you have any other recommendations for little ones starting off, please share. I’m drawn to the look, simplicity and the fact that there’s not much to dust!
Thank you very much! Finally won't buy 😏 (very stupid the volume on the back side) And don't like the sound. It's verry pitty cause I'm desperately looking for a piano less than standard 135 cm... 😫
I love more options but also i love the simplicity of this as it encourages more playing and less distraction from everything else !
I do agree with you!
Fantastic video Arthur 👏👏👏 and just awesome playing as always 👏 Donner Music are extremely lucky to have you showcasing their piano for them ❤
Thanks Valerie!
Not going to lie the iphone mic really gives a great sound perspective

Excellent review ! really ! I get all the answers in a short video :)
I got my donner DDP 80, however when I plug in the headphone, the sound still come out of the piano, but lighter, is that normal?
hmm, no that doesn't sound like a normal response. Always double check the headphone jack is pushed in all the way. With all keyboards, usually the speakers will be either on or off when headphones plugged in, not diminished in volume.
mybe you plugged the headphones into the audio out by mistake, the speakers still work when plugged into audio out
A simple, accessible volume knob would have made all the difference for the unit. Hope they fix this on upcoming models. Nice post. Thanks
I agree, it is strange that it's located on the back of the unit! We'll see if they change anything on upcoming models.
What’s the difference between this and the donner ddp-90 other than looks?

Half damper pedal ?

Haha thank you 🙏
Can you plug it into an external amp?
Yes. Either run a line out from the “out” jack or headphone jack. Both are 1/4 inch
Is it possible to screw in the legs so they face inwards..not extend beyond the length of the keyboard? I’m just pressed for space

No. It wouldn't stand up safely.
This is the one I want!
Seems like a fine thing to learn on.
Sounds great!
Thanks Johnny!
Does it come with transpose function ?
Parece que no, es un piano bastante limitado
Can I change the tuning frequency on this piano?
Nope 🙂↔️
No, apenas veo que se puede regular el volumen nada mas
@@ayrtoninchejanampa6874 Gracias 🙏🏽!
Ваш инструмент, звучит прекрасно! А в ваших руках, великолепно!!!

What headphones would you recommend to use for this piano?
Whatever you have at home should be fine. I like the Yamaha HPH -200p headphones because they let you hear the room transparently too.
@@thearthurmigliazza thanks for the reply!
It's too high. Can't it be adjusted?
No. You would need to get an adjustable bench.
It sounds quite metallic...
can't you play around with different sounds by simply using a midi cable to plug into a pc?
Yes absolutely!
USB midi only unfortunately, but yes you could play software VST's on PC but not 5 pin MIDI into another keyboard.😕
Nice balls!
😂
Thank you very much! Finally won't buy 😏 (very stupid the volume on the back side) And don't like the sound.

Like 80% of this video is the guy playing... 😪
İts really cheap
There is price there is quality
Paid crap review
