My recommendations
Tribit stormbox micro 2 - $60 - 8/10 -
A really great sounding speaker at an affordable price and also very compact. Perfect for biking or the beach.
In addition, an application with an equalizer and a battery indicator is available
Soundcore Motion 300 - $80 - 7/10 -
Great sounding speaker with a nice customizable EQ and an adaptive EQ that changes the sound depending on position. But it can distort sometimes
JBL Partybox Encore - $300-330 - 9/10 -
A good loudspeaker with deep bass for a party. It has an equalizer app and has bass boost options that make it even better
will enhance the party. Additionally, there are 2 microphones in the box (USA) and 1 microphone in the EU. I even prefer the encore to the boombox 3. New models have now better battery.

Tribit have some edge at lower volume with fuller vocal but it's become complete disaster at high volume.
In the other hand soundcore perform much better at high volume, sounds fuller and the bass kick still solid.
Outdoor? Easy win for soundcore!

Have you done the OTA update? I just ran it and it seems like my custom EQ works a lot better now. I hear more deep bass. But, I am in a hotel room with people over so I can't really test it loud.

@@DominikReviews yeah man, they did some fixing with the tuning. It still isn't a JBL boom ox for low end but it is much better than the release firmware!

In general, I think the Tribit is more defined, it maintains sub-bass, but in 100% for external areas it lacks mid-bass. An external EQ does the job

Great work! Thru my headphones the soundcore boom2+ sounds slightly better. They both sound great.
I just wish Soundcore hadn't botched the low end bass on the Boom 2 Plus. I mean come on... they were so close to an amazing all around speaker. I still like it for a pretty balanced listening except for the bass. For the weight, I don't know if there is a better speaker out there.

Can it be fixed with EQ?
@@andrw8946 Not with the in-app EQ even with it being the "pro EQ" in this DSP. The lowest adjustable band still only goes down to 48 hz and even then, the affect is minimal. You can bring the second band to around 90 hz and drop it to help with the boominess. But again, the actual impact on the sound is minimal.
With a third party EQ, yes you should be able to correct it (the boomy mid-bass) a bit better but I haven't bothered to try that yet since my Poweramp EQ has been acting up after the latest android update.

Definitely not like sony, maybe with some measurement mic you could measure both and eq anker so it can sound simillar to sony, but i have no idea

I don't know about YOU guys, but I've had my Soundcore since the day after it was released on 5/29th, and I'm digging it so far. I'm still having a ball putting it through it's paces with a whole lot of material from Bach to the Beatles! I have a Bumpboxx Ultra NYC graffiti and the Boom 2 Plus blows the BB out of the water when it comes to the low frequency bass which the BB lacks.
@@Toccataind565 for many genres I actually prefer the boom 2 plus over my JBL boom ox 2 believe it or not. My pair on encores in stereo mode however are something else.

Hello, could you please check Tribit Stormbox Blast for sound distortion in this track th-cam.com/video/_W3OT22EF2A/w-d-xo.html . In my Blast, the sound distorts on this track when the volume is between 60% and 80% with Xbass enabled.

For me, soundcore is better outside, it is just punchier
Tribit Win🔥 more definition and quality.
It is really muddy on 50% and at 100% it is really harsh, No idea why it could have more resolution but ok
@@DominikReviews It doesn't. It is super compressed and muddy at higher volumes. Soundcore wins the max volume battle easily here.

@@DominikReviews When capturing, the Anker had a better response in the attack bass and slightly better mid-bass, but in a simple equalization this changes. In general, Tribit appears more constant and defined.
