God this didn’t age well lol. I remember skipping high school to stay at home and play this one day. It was amazing. But playing WCW/NWO Revenge was a whole other level and absolutely ground breaking. First time I saw it my world was rocked. Then Wrestlemania 2000 and No Mercy. Ahhh the good ol days

I had WCW Nitro and I remember you had to use wrestlers with submissions to get the win off of finishers. Anyone with non submissions like Eddie Guerrero with the Frog Splash, people,kicked out quick. Those finishers were worthless.
The presentation/graphics are alright considering this is a PS1 wrestling game, the crowd at least looks like a crowd and not a smear of colors on a slope and they did pretty well with the entrance stages. But otherwise the gameplay is primitive as hell compared to the N64 games with no thought given to most of the wrestlers' movesets and so you have Goldberg doing hurricanranas.
I never understood why they didn't use the original NWO theme instead they used this generic theme as their entrances in the video and the rest of the roster used their own entrance theme songs in their videos

This game had nice graphics and move animations. I like it better than mayhem. Of you give this game wrestler entrances and more commentary it would been awesome.

It also happened in WWF Smackdown 2 too. As a "Brainbuster" it was a very low damage moves. If you created Goldberg CAW and use this move. Opponent would easily to be kicked out.
You remember how easy it was to do the finishers and submission holds in this game booklet moves triangle up down square circle and X basic movesets everybody had the same move powerbomb and vertical suplex you remember Kevin nash had a sitout sitdown powerbomb finisher lol WTF
That's why I always played as Ultimo Dragon lol (Besides the fact that his name was Dragon, and I thought dragons were the coolest thing back then (actually I still do))
I've always hated this game so much I never played the original nitro but oh my God WCW NWO thunder can suck it literally but I do have memories of this game unfortunately
