Wonderful lady Dr. Professor Salima. Great Lecture. Well spoken, fine explanation. She has a Natural gift to teach and help us to understand this topic beautifully. Thank you. 🎁🌹👏
Well done IFAO and thanks.First lecture posted on youtube that has actually managed to capture the wonderfully eloquent Salima Ikram's voice. Also , possibly the most impressive setting I have seen used for this kind of thing . More like this please ( With an Ancient Egypt bias )

Her clanging jewellery distracts from her presentation and makes this rather unwatchable-- which is unfortunate because I like Salima and her eloquent presentations. She is very knowledgeable and conveys interesting knowledge. I just can't take that clanging jewellry. Sorry, Salima, maybe next time.
Ancient Egyptians have lived on raw food all year around ; except the five days in the Temple celebrating the harvest of the year Eating cooked foods and drinking Beer . The Kahonas or the priests way of calling on the people to gather , was via the sens of smell . Now the use the sens of hearing ; it less expensive . We were vegetarian . All the the tables of foods you see here is a subliminal message for more offerings to the Temple " Offering tables . All the Cattle were for farming , Milk&butter Just as in India today , Hathour is a sacred cow , She represent the Divine mother ; so how come eat the sacred ?? Fire was only known by those who worked in the Temple , not to public at all .
