This scene broke me. There love for one another is so genuine, even though their relationship progressed so quickly. It can't be felt without words. Isak pleading to live feels me with so much guilt. We take life for granted sometimes. Beautiful acting by both👏🏽
I Bursted into tears after that scene. Not just one tear drop man it was devastating. Never a tv show broke me several times like this one did over the 2 seasons. Hands down to all the creators of this incredible show!! ❤
This scene is so heart wrenching. I watched it then remembered the suffering of the real life detainees. I remembered what we see on daily basis on our screens those days. I can't understand how people would be moved by the suffering of a fictional character but not have an ounce of empathy for people who suffer for real. I am not judging anyone. But how could the story of Pachinko not open the eyes of some people on the reality of occupation..a reality that transcend time. Occupation is brutal no matter the identity or the reasons of the occupier. Nothing can justify the occupation. Or the torture of innocent people just because they raised their voice to defend their rights. Nothing justify dropping a bomb weighing tonnes to eliminate a whole nation. Nothing.
So true.. people continue to justify brutal occupation at this very moment and silence those who speak up. But pretend to have humanity when they talk about human rights in the context of history as if they would have stood up for it 🇵🇸🕊️
The issue between Korea and Japan is still ongoing, from forced conscription including Dokdo to countless war crimes, the atrocities of the colonial past, and the comfort women issue, Japan is waiting for all the victims to die and no more witnesses come forward, but I think the truth will always live and break down the lies.
I didn't know until I watched episode 2. The clothes Sunja is wearing in the opening are "Sangbog(喪服)". Sangbog is The clothes Koreans wear at funeral.
I am amazed at how far South Korea and Japan's relations have progressed. Looking at the entertainment industry itself is such an eye-opener, given how popular Japanese artists are in Korea. Given the brutal history both nations share, I wonder how Japan managed to gloss over its atrocities with lukewarm apologies.
I don't have apple Tv and just found out about this series. It's been a long time since I cried while seeing a trailer for a drama series.. Where can I watch this? 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Pachinko actor and actress are the best. But the cinematography is too western style. They need to make it the cinematography more asian. To make the Drama more cohesive.

This needs to be nominated for Best Drama Series at the Emmys.
He is such a kind hearted person 🥺🫂
I love the actor in Isaak character, a good man.who loves her family. Please, he must live....
I love isak...😢😢
This scene broke me. Brilliance with the writing, performances and the soundtrack.

so the one right man for her is going to die but that sonova B IS STILL ALIVE AND HAD THE AUDACITY TO TALK TO HER?!!
Because he also loves her but hate the fact that he is alive it's unfair. He spoke to her for her own good
@@apoorvasolanki8124why do you people mistake stuff for love. That ain't love.
This is the legendary scene. I have never seen any Korean actress act the role in this way.

한국 이야기를 어느 k drama보다 미국 애플에서 더 한국적으로 잘 만들었네요.
