Skip exactly half of a miniboss in Link's Awakening (Game Boy) - A Wild Glitch Appears!

- In Link's Awakening for the Nintendo Game Boy, there's a super easy glitch you can exploit to skip half of the Dodongo Snakes miniboss in Level 3, Key Cavern.
Normally you would need to defeat both Dodongo Snakes by force-feeding them some bombs before you could proceed to the next room and grab the Pegasus Boots.
However, if you defeat only ONE of the Dodongos, then leave the room and re-enter, you will notice that both Dodongos have mysteriously been defeated. Congratulations! You have essentially skipped half of a mini boss!
This glitch is an excellent time saver in a Link's Awakening speedrun since you can defeat the whole miniboss with just half of the effort!
Note: This glitch only seems to work against the Dodongo Snakes in Level 3, and not in any other level?

I remember this game. The "Arrow Bomb" (or Explosive Arrows) trick was a definite underrated gem here.

Also if you _do_ want to defeat both of them but _still_ cheat, when they are crawling on the same tile their hit boxes will overlap. This means that you can throw a bomb into one of their mouths that will then duplicate inside of them, thus exploding inside both regardless of whether or not they have then crawled away from each other. I beat this game at least 3 times as a child. It is indeed the best Zelda game.

Wonder if it's just a flag being checked. Like what if it's just checking if the id of the boss as been defeated. And since they share one, moving rooms causes it to check that flag and it doesn't check how many have been destroyed. Not sure but thought I'd take a guess at it.
