      Shi Walks With God Cool thanks for replying. I’ll be on the look out. I currently use coconut wax for my candles. I’m still doing some testing to get a good scent throw.

    • @ShiWalksWithGod
      @ShiWalksWithGod  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea that’s the hard part. You need a lot of essential oil in the candles too get a strong scent throw.

      oh yay!!! Thanks so much. I appreciate it. Thanks for all the love and support. I'm so happy you found it helpful. Definitely let me know how yours come out. If you want the labels, which really are amazing follow the link in the description. I got them from someone on pinterest. I printed mine on a little thicker glossy paper. So they are a little more solid and pretty. But they are hands down the best ones I have seen. love them.

      Awe thank you so much!!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it and found it helpful. I absolutely love making these. My family is always asking for more and it's so easy to make. I used 16 ounce Mason Jars. All the items I used are listed in the description below the video if you needed any other product info. This is the link for the Mason Jars if you were interested in purchasing them.
      Mason Jars- amzn.to/2Dpc4lX .

      Shi Walks With God I appreciate the link. Yes, I’m definitely going to make some but I have almond oil instead of the grape seed I hope it works just as well.

    Can you just use epsom salt n the lavender oil or do you need the grape seed oil

    • @ShiWalksWithGod
      @ShiWalksWithGod  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You don’t have to use the grape seed oil. You can definitely do it without it. I like the grape seed oil because I find that it adds a silky smooth feel to the bath salts. But totally optional. Either way you will love the bath salts and find them to be so relaxing. 👍🏼

    Thank you. What is the grapeseed oil for ?

    • @ShiWalksWithGod
      @ShiWalksWithGod  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for stopping by my channel. The Grapeseed oil is what you call a Carrier Oil. You need a carrier oil like Grapeseed oil, jojoba oil, castor oil, avocado oil or argan oil to use with the essential oils because the essential oils are too concentrated. Never apply essential oils directly to your body. You need a carrier oil. The Grapeseed is also great for the skin. It nourishes the skin leaving it feeling soft and smooth.

    • @AsItReallyIs
      @AsItReallyIs 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ShiWalksWithGod thank you for replying. I am little confused. I understand if essential oils are been added topically to the skin they need to be diluted but in this case as the essential oils are been added to a large amount of water they are still been diluted ? I understand there is no harm adding a carrier oil as they help the essential oils attach/penetrate the skin I just wondered if they could be used in bath salts without the carrier oil ?

    • @ShiWalksWithGod
      @ShiWalksWithGod  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would still always recommend some kind of carrier oil for the Bath Salts. It does help it also have a better more easy to use consistency. Essential oils with the Salts and no carrier oil is going to have a harder time applying to the skin without falling apart. But maybe you just want to use it in the bath. I recommend maybe looking at some other recipes and ultimately do what works for you. As long as it helps you and works for you. I hope this helps. 🙏🏼👍🏼🤗

      Glad to see someone not using coconut oil. Ive tried many recipes using coconut oil and i wouldnt dare gift let alone sell them too greasy and started making the water and tub look weird

    Are these one use per jar?

    • @ShiWalksWithGod
      @ShiWalksWithGod  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure what you mean...... do you mean is it a one time use thing? The recipe usually fills one 16 ounce jar if that's what you meant. Please let me know. I would love to help. Just not sure what you mean.

    Can we use olive oil , tea tree oil or argan oil instead of grape seed oil.

    • @ShiWalksWithGod
      @ShiWalksWithGod  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes!! 100%. … I like to put some tea tree oil in the mix. Argan oil is an awesome carrier oil. But it’s more expensive than grape seed so when I can’t splurge on argan oil I’ll get grape seed. Not sure about the olive oil. I would say it depends on the olive oil. But I would have to look into that more. I tend to use carrier oils like argan, grape seed, castor, jajoba, and avocado oil.

    So is this a body scrub or a bath salt? Your jars say that it is a scrub?

    • @ShiWalksWithGod
      @ShiWalksWithGod  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use it for both. I usually use it in the shower as a scrub but you can also throw a few scoops in the tub. It’s just won’t have suds and bubbles. If you want that then you can add some citric acid to the scrub and it will make it a perfect little bath time relaxation.

    Hey , what are their shelf life?

    • @ShiWalksWithGod
      @ShiWalksWithGod  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      hmmmm... well i usually use mine pretty quickly. But my mom still has one that I made her from a year ago. And it's fine. The only thing is that the grapeseed oil kind of builds up at the bottom a little, but you can probably just re mix it up. I hope that helps. Are you going to try to make some. Everyone loves them. My mother in law always asks me for more. lol

    Is it ok to out sweet almond oil instead

    • @ShiWalksWithGod
      @ShiWalksWithGod  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sorry I didn't fully understand your question. Did you want to switch out the almond oil? You can swap out the almond oil for a different carrier oil.

    • @emmamohart5983
      @emmamohart5983 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes can I swap instead of using carrier oil can I use sweet almond oil I search up on google if "sweet almond oil is ok to put in bath salts" and it's says yes I can

    Started it out good.. until i saw you mix essential oils in a plastic container, that’s not good at all. When working with essential oils it is best to use a glass container not plastic.

    • @ShiWalksWithGod
      @ShiWalksWithGod  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! I completely agree. I hate plastic containers and/or plastic Tupperware. Unfortunately when I recorded this video I was temporarily living with my parents in between moving to a new place and I didn’t have any of my bowls. Those are my Mom’s God awful plastic containers. I have considered recording an updated version with some new recipes and that would be a great update. Thank you for the comment and for watching. Over the years I’ve gotten my mom to move away from plastic. Thank God! 🤗 she has glass Tupperware now. When I make my bath salts and body butters at home in my own kitchen I use either Pyrex or metal bowls. More often my metal bowls because they have rubber bottoms that keep them from moving on the counter. Thanks again for stopping by 👍🏼😊
