Mica powder is not water soluble so it might be helpful if some polysorbate 80 is added in the mixture otherwise tiny mica clumps might float up on the water 🤔
Hello! I would probably avoid food color and body spray. The body spray will add fragrance but I don’t know if it will irritate the skin in the larger quantity than used for In a spray.
Poly 80 helps bind oils to the water. If you use a powdered mica for color, it’s a good idea to use the poly 80. If you don’t use a colorant, the poly 80 is not needed. I hope this helps! 😊
Hi from Ireland! Will salt bleed water if no oil added? I haven't heard of this happening to salt before. I would like to try them but wouldn't have space to leave drying for days. Maybe a dehumidifier would do it.
When I made my bath salts, I layed them out on parchment paper~the next couple days the bath salts that were laying on the paper alot of liquid was coming out of the salts~I had to throw all of them out. I don't know what I'm doing wrong!!!
It depends on how big of a batch I make. It also depends on your climate. I live in a really dry climate, so I tend to wait overnight and it turns out great
You can use food coloring but I use soap colorant because it’s skin safe 😊 I also don’t know if the food coloring will stick to the sides of the tub. I hope this helps!

Do you not need to add poly 80 for the colours?
You absolutely can! I didn’t for this but you can fore sure🥰
Sorry I’m new to this. What is poly 80 and do I absolutely need to use it?

Oh no!! How much oil did you use? I have never had this issue. Do you live in a humid environment?
No, I live in Iowa. I used f/o and coconut oil.
I have never had that happen. I’m so sorry this happened to you 🥺
Soooo how long do you let the mixture air out?
It depends on how big of a batch I make. It also depends on your climate. I live in a really dry climate, so I tend to wait overnight and it turns out great
do you have to put a scent into bath salts?
Hey! The scent is completely optional 😊
can you use food colouring?
