As a Finn that silence that you get especially at the very north of Finland is hard to explain. When you have like 2 meters of snow muffling any sounds and you are literally in middle of nowhere that absolute silence is extremely calming to me. Love it.
"Its only 28 degrees...not that cold" then while walking, hearing the wind..."I'm already cold." LOL oh you crack me up. I love the butterfly chairs in the breakfast area.. I am not a winter person but it looked spectacular there. The sled dog puppies knew you are a dog person...omg adorable! LOVED that you took us sledding with you- that was awesome!! The reindeer.. unbahleeevable! Sigh, to see the northern lights what a wonderful vacation. Thank you Michele for sharing with us, just spectacular.

I am so glad you got to see the Northern Lights...and what a great, tranquil , beautiful place to go to.The great quiet when you were in the dog sled.... bet you slept a lot better in Finland . All in all , just so happy for you, seeing you hug the doggies, eat wonderful meals, "playing outside", the real meaning of chilling out! I was lucky enough to see the Northern Lights when my kids were young near Montreal in all their very colourful glory..there had been some sort of geomagnetic storm going on ..sun bursts or something, so we saw them a few years in a row. It's awe-inspiring

Watching you with the Huskies brought tears to my eyes... Miss having Huskies so much 😞 all their excitement with the harness on was so sweet and sad at the same time, so many memories 😢 Huskies love to run and as working dogs pulling a sled it's their best time 🥰 When I was living in Portugal I used to take mine during winter up north to the snow and during the rest of the year to the beach house where they could run for miles or until they got tired in the beach 😂😂😂 Thank you Michele 🥰

What a great adventure!! If you want to do it again, you can just come up to Canada…The Yukon offers a similar experience…not sure about reindeer tho 😁
@@sfp220 there are igloo hotels. Look up Yukon tourism and you should be able to find the best time to view the northern lights. We get them in Edmonton too but not anywhere near as spectacular

Watching this brings back such happy memories of my last holiday with my dad… he took my family to Lapland 22yrs ago and I loved every minute of it! I took my son who was four at the time he’s now 26! We did the dog sled, rain deer rides, skidoo , santas village and also saw the northern lights! I loved the dark snowy days , I loved how the snow glittered everywhere ❤
What a great trip! We did a stop in Helsinki on a cruise and loved the vibe of the town. Lots of fish! Amazed watching the dogs in that snow! How can they handle it??? We did a dog sled in Alaska, but it was in the summer, so not as authentic as yours. My son loved it (he was 8). thanks for bringing us along. Looks like a must do trip…

Love the video! This looks like my back yard! I live in Alaska😊 so glad you got to experience this! We have the Iditarod race here every year which is a dogsled race. Also yes the northern lights are pretty amazing! I don’t get to see them as often as I used to when I lived in Fairbanks Alaska(I’m outside of Anchorage now)

I understand the hesitation when it comes to eating reindeer, but as a Finn I'll just say that reindeer jerky for example is just amazing.
