And, "How does one maintain one's traditions, yet adapt to the ever changing landscape of modernity?" I would start my conversations along those lines.

Their language sounds so ancient and royal. I first learnt of the Dogon people after reading Blackroot Science, but got more intrigued when I read Bab' Credo Mutwa's Reptilian Agenda. It's amazing who they've managed to pass down knowledge from generation to generation.
