- This is a list of the top 25 A7x guitar solos of all time. Please leave a comment with your opinion, and what you think is the top solo of all time. Also, check my replies to others to see why certain solos weren't included or weren't higher on the list. The only regret I have is not placing Acid Rain higher on the list.

As someone who plays guitar myself, I can really appreciate the level of skill in the to end the rapture solo, the entire thing, the speed, the intricacy, all of it, it's amazing!
So far away is such a beautiful solo, with so much emotion, glad I finally got around to learning how to play it!
Zacky and Syn are like gods with guitars. Legendary work with all of these songs.

Was just gona post the same thing..but youve covered it nicely.
I find coming home's solo unnecessarily long. It is amazing, but some parts could've been removed to make it a shorter but more kickass solo. Again, this is my opinion. And I don't really like the MIA solo much.
finally a list that does not overrate stuff like So Far Away, Hail To The King, Coming Home and M.I.A. though put more waking the fallen in it

Okay, I think I can now safely say that Syn is my second favorite guiarist. What a beast! great technic, fast as balls etc. and he is still developping, he hasn't peaked yet (I hope). very talented guitarist!

Gets old quickly. It has this really powerful kick the first several times you hear it, then it's not that enjoyable to listen to.

Avenged sevenfold has the best guitar solos I've ever heard :D I don't play guitar so I don't know what they're like in terms of skill, but they're all absolutely beautiful and incredible and they stand out to me as the best so XD
I truely agree with you..it have started listening to them recently...and they truely rock..:)
if you havent already i would listen to pantera, iron maiden or megadeth, they have the best solos for me in that order
I recently started playing guitar, and let me tell you.. Their riffs are kind of easy after some practice, but their solos make me cry. Seems like a nightmare to perfect.

This is a great video. I think anyone who claims that Avenged Sevenfold doesn't have blues in their music really needs to see this video. Every guitar solo featured has a tinge of bluesy flavour to it. Granted, it's more evident on the latter albums than on the first two - but even the first two have it, to a degree. Acid Rain is probably where it sounds the most raw - and the guitar intro to Buried Alive (the part that many radio stations, unfortunately, cut off) is unmistakeably blues.
The only criticism I have is that I think Tonight the World Dies should've been added. There's a lot of great slide guitar work in that song, and I think it'd be the perfect song for introducing a blues aficionado to Avenged Sevenfold.
But, yeah, I know - Avenged Sevenfold has so much good stuff, it's hard to narrow it down to a Top 25.

I really love you for saying this. I've been trying to spread that message for a while. Acid Rain is one of their solos where Syn was really able to show his skill with blues scales and music.
The only reason I didn't include Tonight the World Dies is that Syn's dad is the one who plays the blues-y electric guitar in it. If I were to include it it would be in the top 10.

you should add sidewinder, maybe you could replace "and all thing will end" by "sidewinder", I think that it's one of their best solos
Good selection, but i have to ask, where's the sidewinder classical solo? I'd definitely rate that up in the top 5, the display of diversity and just raw musical talent is astounding. Don't get me wrong, i appreciate the technical stuff too, but this is what separates them from the masses.

I mostly agree with these, but Im rather partial to the solo from natural born killer. While it may not deserve the highest spot, i feel it should be on the list due to the pure energy behind it.
What about danger line and the wicked end?
I don't believe they're better than any solo on this list
in my opinion i believe that beast and the harlot should be way higher up because it flows with the song as well has great speed with a very insane sound that sounds really melodic.

Not Ready To Die at 15:07 (Second solo) should be in the top 5 at LEAST.
Quite honestly, it's one of my all time favorite solos, but the second solo is derived from the piano section that comes before it, which was written by Kevin Sherwood, not Avenged Sevenfold. So, I don't believe it should be any higher.
I was not aware of that fact....but it's still really awesome, and they gave him credit for the piano part. I see it as....A7x ft. Kevin Sherwood :)
Sophera01 It's not really featuring Kevin Sherwood. That part is a cover for Kevin Sherwood's song "Damned" (look it up on youtube). Damned is the main theme song for Call of Duty Zombies. Not Ready to Die was written specifically for a downloadable Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies map called "Call of the Dead". As a nod to the extremely loved and popular original theme song for the game, Avenged Sevenfold included the piano theme song in their song (played with a different scale) and wrote their electric guitar solo version of it as well.

I guess that maybe it wasn't included, since the song sounds a lot like Sad but True by Metallica. I mean, personally, I like the song - and I probably would have included it, if I was to make a video of their solos. But I'm guessing that might be why the uploader chose not to include it.
