    I’m a flight attendant and I ALWAYS pack the same things. It makes packing so much easier and I don’t forget anything when I am getting ready in a hurry. 😊👍🏼✈️ (i always keep flip flops in my suitcase for wearing in hotels, will not walk barefoot in hotels!)

    • @sgnorris
      @sgnorris 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      flygirlchelle I can top that! I never unpack. Since I take the same things why unpack and then just pack them again?

    Great video. I agree with everything on your list. They are all must haves. I have to have my flip flops and comfy pants. My new favorite comfy pants are the Barefoot Dreams joggers. Love, love them.

    • @MissCrystal
      @MissCrystal  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I need to try those!

    • @Lindas0791
      @Lindas0791 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are FABULOUS. Bought them from QVC. They have two listings for these ($82 and $118). The $118 pair have 1% spandex and therefore less bagging. Absolutely love mine.

    I have to take at least 2-3 sundresses the kind that don’t wrinkle, and they take up almost no room in my bag

  • @Melissa55

    What a good idea to have things you know you need already in mind. I got some great ideas. I think the most important thing I do is to lay each outfit out on the bed, with all accessories, and take a picture for each day of the week. This was terrific! Lots of love, Melissa

    • @MissCrystal
      @MissCrystal  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Melissa! Yes, I do that as well. Especially for a certain event. Taking a picture wearing the entire outfit is key. Helps to not over pack. 😀

    I always like to bring a simple dress that can be worn casually or dressed up a little with jewelry. Often it’s a black swing dress from old navy.

    Must haves: slippers or slipper socks, tennis shoes, nude sandals, beach coverup, 2 pair of white shorts and a pair of yoga pants”comfy pants” Oh, and a sweater for the plane at the very least. I freeze on every flight. I even take a sweater when we travel to Key West. I wear it too in the car a lot because my hubby will blast the A/C. I never regretted taking it.

    I like to always pack a sports bra. Sometimes you just don’t want to wear a bra to go get breakfast. But I also don’t want to go bra less.🤦🏽‍♀️ I have hypothyroidism, my arms are always cold. So, always always always a light sweater.

  • @isabels5140

    I have to bring my no winkle travel shirts and Kuhl convertible pants/shorts. Along with all the items you mentioned.LOL. flip flop for the hotel room. We are from florida so have to have the no iron sundress. the the strapless bra, too bad they have wire :-(

    • @vh_on_my_selah3875
      @vh_on_my_selah3875 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kuhl knit pants are versatile; great for flying with soft internal drawcord, dress up or comfy pants. Columbia FPG sundresses are the most comfortable, reliable, multifunctional and effortless clothing item I have ever owned. They are universally flattering, pack small, don’t wrinkle, don’t cling, aren’t see-through and dress up with just a shawl/sweater and a bit of jewelry. West Marine, resort wear stores and better sporting goods stores usually carry them.

    It's not clothing, but I always pack a silk pillow case. Too many times I have woken up in the morning with a red face from the detergents they use to was the pillow cases/sheets.

    You a lucky person to travel. Do you have children ? Just reach a point in my life to travel with out children or grandchildren.

    • @MissCrystal
      @MissCrystal  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, we don't have children but I'm not sure what that has to do with traveling? Everyone I know with young or older children travel. It may be once per year, it may be more. But they do not let having children decide that. I know growing up we took a summer vacation each year to Florida starting when I was around five. Children need to see the world and have those experiences just as much as adults do. :)

    Great ideas. I always throw in a simple slip on tank top style dress. I can dress it down, up or even use it as a bathingsuit cover. If it is a silky polyester material it dries in no time if I need to wash it at bedtime.

      I made 2 lists a many years ago and saved it on my computer. One is titled Cruise packing and the other is Beach packing. I intended on using it for only that trip but I decided to keep it and tweek it for every trip. I print it off when I start packing. It does not get crossed off until it hits the car. My last trip in July, I had to delete beach toys from the list entirely. My kids are 22 and 17. It works for us.

    • @MissCrystal
      @MissCrystal  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Cheryl! I do the same. My original packing list came from my cruise packing. Then I made another based off a different trip. So far, I have 7 printables I'm working on. Hopefully I can share soon. :)

    I also have hypothyroidism. And bring a lot of the things you mentioned but I also bring a thin short cotton, robe with a built-in attached belt (no chance of losing it or misplacing it), my own microfiber bath towel and hair towel because I hate hotel towels. Microfiber is thin so it doesn't take up much room. They actually make travel Microfiber towels that are packaged in compact pouches. Just make sure you check the measurements. You can also use it as a blanket on the plane. But I also bring a super soft, kids weighted blanket (3lbs). It's the size of a baby blanket. I use it on the plane and as an extra blanket in the hotel room. It's so comforting to have that little part of home with me (I sleep with a regular size weighted blanket at home). I don't pack it. I just carry it like a toddler to the airport. Well, I roll it up. Not clothes, but certainly a couple of must have....EAR PLUGS. For crying babies on the plane, or chatter boxes, noisy hotel rooms and my personal favorite, my husband who snores much louder when on vacation because he's drinking a little more than usual and snores louder after a few drinks. I like the ones that are attached to a cord so if it falls out, they are easy to find. Also, my Super Sparrow stainless thermos for water. It's a lightweight stainless bottle. Not just for on the go, but I like to have cold water next to my bed. I just fill it with ice and water and it stays cold all night long.

    We went to Egypt and Jordan last fall for 3 weeks. Our travel rule is a back pack and a carry on. Everything is functional and necessary. I’m a girl I need stuff. I’ve gotten really good at coordinating outfits around three different type shoes. Laundry is cheap overseas.have the makeup to a minimum and pack sheet masks for sink care because they weigh nothing and take up no space. Hair care we stay at good hotels and I pack minis of my favorites must haves

    So is your loungewear in addition to your sleepwear? Since you don’t take a robe, it seems like you might have 2 sets of sleepwear. I recently bought a Soma sleep shirt to serve as my “robe.” I don’t like the tie robes, and I don’t think this will add much bulk to my suitcase.

    • @MissCrystal
      @MissCrystal  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sometimes, yes. I always take a sleepwear/loungewear set. Meaning top and bottom. That way I can wear both when getting ready or just the pants. I always wear a tank top and sleep shorts to bed. If it's cold, then I can wear the bottoms. I don't love robes (the silky kind) but other kinds are too bulky to pack.

    I usually try and pack some 3/4 length sleeve items even when going on a cruise, sometimes it is nice to have something covering your arms but you really don't need a sweater or a jacket. I love your list. It basically replicates my list! I, always bring warmer clothes than I will ever need, but I, like you, have hypothyroid and am oftentimes chillier than most people. I hate being cold! I always bring the wool knee socks, for bedtime only, and I ALWAYS bring a cashmere throw/scarf, to use exactly as you described, just as a warm piece. Great video Crystal, I love your travel videos, my number one must have and its proberly pretty boring is a scalfe I don't go anywhere without one even in the summer, mainly for health reasons, (having had breast cancer surgery ) and again pretty boring but lipstick/gloss, tissues, mirror, a notebook usually small, sunglasses/reading glasses, and a snack usually a healthy bar, that all sounds pretty norm, but just a few things I allways like to take, and it sounds silly but it takes me ages to decide on a handbag, I don't have many and I even will buy a new one each year, is that silly not sure, anyhow thanks for the video really enjoyed it xxx oh nearly forgot I started a small essential purse for pain relief, plasters etc, an idea I got from your video some time ago thanks for that tip very usefull too xxx

      Yes, I always bring a visor and/or a hat. :)

    A couple of my must-haves: travel blanket (for car, plane & hotel), "comfy pants", long sleeve (FSU) tee, turbie twist and my Corksicle (if it's a road trip). :)

      Oh yeah, I have tons of must haves other than clothing. I have several videos on them if you check out the playlists on my channel. I keep my turbie twist in my toiletry bag always and recently spoke about a travel blanket. :)

    Hi Crystal can you please do I video on how you style your hair. How often you get it colored,
    what products you use and most of all how you blow dry and or flat iron it. I love your hair.
    I am also a blonde but I'm very frizzy and my hair always falls in my face lol. Yours looks so perfect.

      Thank you for the nice compliment! I've been meaning to do a video of my styling it. It's just hard to set up in my bathroom and the lighting isn't great. I do have an older video of my using a flat iron. I typically use a InStyler now. As far as coloring, I do the root touch up myself about every 4 weeks. My hair grows fast! I get highlights at the salon about twice per year. I just refreshed them at home using something from Sally's. I spoke about it on Stories. Although I hate to talk about color much because what works for me doesn't mean it will work for others.

      MissCrystal Thank you so much for the information. I wish I knew how to color my hair by myself instead of spending money at the hair salon every five weeks. But I wouldn't dare!!!!! I will try to find your hair videos now. I can't tell you all the money I've spent on fancy shampoos and conditioners and lotions and potions and my blonde hair still ends up frizzy no matter what I use. I give up!

      MissCrystal , we are new to travelling and what you talked about is a very good starting point when getting a suitcase together. I wrote it all down and will use it when that trip comes up . Thankyou again 💖

    Hi Crystal , love these travel videos , leaving Sunday on a cruise . I always take a pair of light slippers to have for when I'm getting out of shower to wear while I'm getting ready or just to wear around in the room . I have a white pair I got from a spa once and they go with me all the time . 😊

      Good one! I’ll typically wear my flip flops in that instance but slippers would be nice!

    You've nailed the trifecta of travel basics (function, form, fashion). Good job Crystal! Your hair is looking extra good!🤗 Is there anything new you have added to styling routine? TY xx

      Thank you! I spoke about this on Instagram. In this video and a pic I shared there, I used the Living Proof Full Dry Volume Blast. That stuff is awesome! I recently brightened up my highlights so I think it always makes my hair stand out a bit more than usual. :)

    I just started taking a thing robe. It’s a good piece for after showers when staying with family, so you don’t have to get dressed in the moist room.
    A spf rash guard cover up for anything beach. A nice cover up for cruises or upscale hotels.
    Flip flop always for all the reasons you said. A baseball hat or straw hat for beach.
    Always a thin black sweater.
    I like cami’s with a shelf bra for lounging especially when traveling with my sons.

      Oh yes, I always take a cover up when I’m on a cruise or beach specific vacation like I said. I do typically bring a hat or visor though that I didn’t mention. 😊

      Forgot to add. I used to take a robe but stopped wearing them and found I liked the lounge set better. I’m on the hunt for a light one that’s short but not too short. Any favorite or recommendations?
