Let him play, it is his choice knowing what may happen. But the NFL should make him sign away his rights to sue them for any future disabilities that may come up. Also, not hold them responsible for any specialized medical care beyond the regular medical care.
I would agree but the nfl makes so much money they should take care of him for the rest of his life. There’s gonna be a lot more eyes on the Miami games now cause of him. But ya it’s all around a mess up situation. My senses if he wants to play, let him play and treat him the same as any other player
@@RSG3 First and foremost, a hint to the wise is sufficient. Second, the NFL is a business and as such will always operate like one. Ergo, it will behove the players to approach each negotiation with this type of mindset. CYOA!
I really hate being the one who has to say it, but at this point it shouldn't be his choice to make. Tua should be told, "either you wear the cap, or you don't play in the NFL anymore."
Hey and you're right it is his choice but one thing Mike don't want to do is he don't want to talk about his crappy Dallas cowboys no he weren't trying to knock this man while he down coming back from concussions and bring up his shortcomings but microphone couldn't even complete dental hygienist school he just encouraged me to unsubscribe from him man f microphone
@ZynxMods No it's actually corporatism, and is exactly what should happen. The NFL is an Entertainment Business, not a competitive sports league. Tua having a highly public crippling injury would put a massive financial crunch on the league, putting everyone's jobs and livelihood at risk. This isn't about him, it's about everyone in the league and thier families.
4:13 You know what's worse than a fencing response or loss of balance? Being unconscious after suffering a head injury. Josh Allen was knocked out cold in the Texans game, and minutes later was back in the game after being offered smelling salts. That's worse than anything that's happened with Tua, and nobody is talking about that (except the one doctor I saw do a video on it).
Tua getting these concussions is going to make it harder for more kids/teens to play tackle at the young level because parents are going to see these and not allow them to play. A lot adults want flag football because it’s a safer alternative and people aren’t getting concussions like Tua. Now flag football is expanding to the college level with more colleges offering it. One day flag football could be in the NCAA.
Yeah it's a good take and segway to the idea of pro flag football.. An opportunity for retirees, players who never made it's, player even just contract hold outs from the pros to work and love the game. This pro flag league may even provide an arguably more competitive league for the fas to enjoy and gamble on. Big big time out on for this idea, again- Great comment 👏
Honestly though we've never seen a QB with his size and power run as angry and as vertically as he does lmao.. watching highlights of Tua act like a one cut back in just impressive tbh
This will not end well! Several years from now, his whole family will come to regret this decision. Better take out a long term disability insurance policy to help protect his money because the kind of specialized care he might need, really eats away at your funds. Also, step up his investments to grow them exponentially by the time he starts to use them. I wish him well.
He needs to be forced by the NFL to wear the cap or don’t play. Because at this point, him saying he loves the game “to the death of me” seems like ominous foreshadowing.
Go talk to Terry Bradshaw he’s doing perfectly fine and got hit 1000times more than Tua and harder…go talk to Dan Fouts, Jim Kelly, Montana and see if they’re alright…all these guys were hit way more and are perfectly fine lol
I mean at this point I don’t think it matters to them. If his family tries to sue once he inevitably dies of CTE then they have tons of evidence that he wouldn’t listen to reason. They can point to that clip specifically.
The helmet is not the problem the guardian cap is just a PR stunt the NFL is using to change the subject your brain is suspended in fluid and when to much force is applied it goes forward and slams against the inner part of your skull it's the game that's the problem not the helmet look it up
Head trauma is no joke and nothing to be taken lightly. I think its tough for people like him and many people in sports in general to accept how dangerous it is. These professional sports players are used to injury whether tears, sprains, etc. These heal over time and you can quickly return to your pre-injury performance or close to it very quickly. But you dont just heal from head trauma like that, it has lasting effects that will be there for the rest of your life. I sustained a pretty good concussion my sophomore year at a wrestling tournament and that left me with periodic migraines that still affect me 6 years later. I could not imagine sustaining multiple concussions that resulted in fencing responses, and continuing to risk more and more permanent injuries. $124 million doesn't mean much of anything if you spend the rest of your life with headaches, mood swings, and a danger of reinjuring your brain.
I showed up to say the same thing. It will get worse for him when he gets back. I also had a concussion/TBI in 2006 because I wasn't wearing a helmet while on my skateboard. Like every job safety training video says "You think PPE is expensive/aggravating try having an accident." Mine cost my insurance company 1.6 million dollars for a 43 day all expenses paid stay in the hospital with a bilateral craniotomy and a custom helmet. *that was 2006 money so like a billion now
@@benbruinsma47 Nonsense. He’s playing football for millions upon millions, not doing a much more dangerous job like astronaut or deep sea welding for a fraction of QB pay. Are those jobs worth it? Yes, they are tough, dangerous jobs that serve a real purpose in society. Is being an NFL player, QB especially, for 150 million plus worth it despite injury risk (that’s lower than said dangerous jobs)? Of course! That’s why he’s still playing, and why so many football players try to reach that level. Because it is obviously and clearly worth it.
He’s being paid very handsomely to play. He’s a grown man making a different decision than you would, a decision that makes plenty of sense. Stop with the concern trolling, it’s weird.
I completely agree with your concern. As a nurse practitioner, I really do NOT want to see Tua out there. CTE is real. Not every player who gets concussions will develop CTE but many do. Clearly, the concussions for Tua are now happening with lesser contact. It's scary. It's unfortunately not if but when the next concussion will happen. I pray to God that the next concussion doesn't end his life or cause extreme debility. There is more to life than football or money. I'm truly concerned about his quality of life once he hangs the cleats up. 🙏 He is obviously a grown man and can make his own decisions. I just personally think it's a bad decision and would inform my child to hang it up and move on. Again, this is HIS life and if Tua isn't concerned for his own life, why should we be?
Honestly there are players with more concussions than Tua playing right now, his just looks bad why people are crying, if he's cleared its his choice.period.
Well most people you don't even know theyve had a concussion until after the game. Tua has like seizures Everytime he gets one.. it looks worse probably because it is worse.. and we know alot of players have gotten cte from less severe looking concussions
@Matt-yj1lz CTE is from repetitive hits to the head, even if their not concussions. Your brain can heal and recover from a severe concussion, if Tua was taking hits to the head every game, hes more likely going to get brain disease. Also just because he looked like he had a severe injury doesn't mean it was. Most important part is Tua didn't feel any symptoms the next day and went to multiple experts and neurologists
Denzel Ward has had more NFL concussions and they’re about the same age. Tuas situation is getting more recognition than Ward because he’s a QB who had a bad one on prime time, but especially because he’s a QB. I think there’s a bunch of people who already forgot about Xavier Newman, as an update, he’s on IR, but he’s fine thankfully and hopefully everyone is good
The problem is tua 1. Took two concussions within like 5 days. 2. His latest concussion is the result of him making an absolutely terrible decision of putting his head into a defender. The next concussion could happen in the next game
This goes without saying Tua & his family are more concerned about possibly losing all that extra money if & when he decides to retire more than his health & the well- being. The head coach of Miami Dolphins, including the organization, should really have a sit down & have a talk with Tua along with his family to really consider think things through to avoid another possible concussion & this time could be permanent damage as a result on his mental & physical health. When picking all that cash over the well-being of an individual, the word comes to mine & it is called "Greed"! 🤔🤨
What do you expect from the Dolphins after they PAID THIS PERMA CONCUSSED PLAYER. TBH in my eyes he is NOW next to useless unfortunately for him. But far too many concussions now to carry on. Again for Tua its shit but he's been paid. Take the cash and run.
Dude, I'm a dolphins fan who lived through the 20 year long Tom Brady dominance of the afc east, the years where the dolphins were too bad to make it to the playoffs and too good to get top draft picks and the 1 and 15 season. Last year was magical, but I think he should retire. I would hate to see him getting permanently hurt just to prove that he's not a quitter. I really hope he stays healthy.
There are some helmets where the Guardian Cap doesn't really provide any added protection. I forget the exact type of helmet Tua wears, but the Guardian Cap would not provide any significant additional protection to him, all it would do is make his helmet heavier. This is a non-story that everyone is desperately trying to make a story.
You: Guardian caps only work with certain helmets. You: Idk what helmet Tua wears. You: Obviously, Tua's helmet doesn't work with Guardian caps. Your logic is so bright, I bet your dad calls you son. Jesus Christ.

"Now there is a subset of helmets that we tagged as Guardian Cap optional. And the reason for that was that those helmets in the laboratory testing showed that there really was not additional benefit of that magnitude by adding a Guardian Cap."

I thnk that Bohami Jones put it best, that guys who play football are a different breed. Pain and risk is apart of the game. It is what they sign up for. Most of us regular people can not truly understand their mentality.
I swear Tua will be the NFL's Dale Earnhardt I just have this feeling that we're all going to witness his career, and possibly his life, end in tragic fashion.
If I played football,I would definitely wear the guardian cap on top of my helmet, forget what ppl.say,my brain is more important than anyone's opinion of me!!!
I said this the last time when y'all were saying "it's his choice". I'm not watching him turn his brain into scrambled eggs. He clearly doesn't respect the severity of his situation. Nobody around seems to be trying to bring him to reality. This is going to end in tragedy and everyone is covering it instead of stopping it.
In 30 years Tua is gonna sue the NFL and say they should have stopped him from playing. This dude needs to call it a career. Ik you love the game but damn bro you need to be careful.
Nfl needs a forced retirement clause to be a mandatory inclusion on all contracts if a player has an excessive amount of concussions and refuses to retire himself
I think Tua is already showing signs of changes in his personality. He is being so defiant and dismissive. His parents should be ashamed putting money ahead of their son's health
Tua (IMO)is going to be on everyone's hit list (there may be unspoken bounties on him) when he comes back to play football. He should wear a guardian device. It doesn't mean you are weak, unmanly whatever. You want to live and play the game. Wear the device, Tua. The life you save could be your own.
The guardian caps don't do anything. There has been zero research presented. Its just another front to make the NFL look like they care about concussions.
Tua should wear that cap, for the sake of his life. Then again, he mentioned “dying for the game”… 😮 He’s got the money. Football is a fun sport. Hell I miss playing the game but I certainly wouldn’t want to die for it.
LOL @ the "late hit from Matt Milano", that hit wasn't late, it wasn't even a hit. He pushed Tua as he was finishing his throw. Any adult could keep themselves upright, he fell to sell the touch, and then hit his head on the turf/concrete, sounds like game karma to me.
that push was a full 2 steps after the release , and Tua was going backwards and off balance. I get it wasn't nefarious in nature, he was just wanting Tua to feel his presense, but it was a late hit. Watch the video in slo mo.
I think one component that’s missing, is this is a very islander mentality. To lay it all on the field even in death. Like culturally this makes a lot of sense
Even after all that happened with tua, the NFL still hasn't learned their lesson, they did almost the exact same thing with Josh Allen a couple of weeks ago, he very obviously had a concussion to anyone that watched it live, and they still allowed him to finish the game and play the following week.
The only thing that shocked me was his parents not even hesitating to say hell come back...if it was my kid i would want him to be done....i understand hes a grown man and we are talking about generational wealth here but as someone who was raised without my dad there's no amount of money that could make up for that...and just to be clear my dad died when i was young he didnt walk out on his family
It's probably a hot take but I had a feeling to this headline when I was watching Dan Patrick talk about this a few days back. It really feels like people and to some extent the players themselves have made peace with the fact that they love football more than they care about the consequences of the sport.
Y'all need to blame the NFL for this situation. Coming back and playing after concussions are the standard in the NFL because they've allowed it be for years.
We can all speculate what is best for Tua, but it is his life and career, it is his decision to make. We all face similar risks when we leave our homes. It can be driving to work, crossing a road, or the work place or any other public place. The stats that show Tua is at high risk can easily be applied to the things we do every day. We, like Tua, make a conscious choice that could endanger ourselves because we cannot predict or control what happens around us.
Helmets are meant to prevent skull fractures. Idk what a helmet can do because concussions happen when the brain moves around in the skull. Another thing with concussions are you don't always lose consciousness, so there's a great chance he's far from the only one getting them, possibly even in the very games he got knocked out in. Tua is just the one we see
Honestly most fans shouldn’t care if Tua, sevearly hurts himself or possible brain damage. The man DOESNT CARE ABOUT HIS OWN HEALTH. Most fans shouldn’t either. Tua should retire but if he wants to “die on the field” we should accept it and move on.
The guardian caps will not be necessary next season they have 6 new styles that supposedly protect even more than the caps. But obviously the best combination would be the next Gen helmet plus the guardian cap
The NFL was sued because they denied that there was any possibility of head injury’s. Not because people got them. Now that everyone knows about them it’s on the NFL to make decisions for players. I love how Joe Borrow put it in an interview, he said “this is a violent game but we all choose to play it because we Love it. If we get hurt and choose to play anyway its our decision not the NFL’s. We need to stop acting like these players don’t sign a 50-60 million dollar contract and in exchange they put there body on the line it a fair trade. Nobody is forcing him or anyone else to play this game. STOP acting like we would know what we would do in these situations when none of us were offered that money to play a sport you love and know the risks that are taking for money and fame.
It's going to depend on his savings but I suspect he'll play at least ONE year into his contract - At $30mill, he'll be lucky to see HALF of it after taxes and "service fees". Still, you can live a good life in a 3/2 home (no HOA), living off of $15mil worth of dividends. Jetting off for mai-tais on a whim? No, but there's alot to be said about being that big fish in a small lake. I just hope he doesn't let his parents leach his money from him, gift them a lump sum of $5-8mil from your signing and write them off. Don't buy a 2024 Corvette, get yourself a 1971 Baracuda. Don't get a Porsche for your daily, get a Maverick(42MPG) and then drive it into the ground for the next 10-15yrs. Cut corners where you can, let your savings work for you and you can live that care-free life - Most of us don't get that chance, hope he doesn't squander it
Unfortunately, individuals can will and do keep looking for people until they find medical doctors and advisors that will say what they want them to even if that's not beneficial for them.
Tua said it himself "I love this game and I love it to the death of me". If wouldn't matter if everyone around him told him he should retire, he is going to play until he physically can't walk onto the field. I respect the commitment and drive but I really hope he can stay healthy and doesn't regret this decision later in life.
I don't think most people get it...Tua is a WARRIOR! Warriors don't go into battle worrying about their own safety. Their only goal is to get the job done (win) & they're willing to accept any & ALL CONSEQUENCES! We should just let him live his life as he wants, and if he 'ends' on the field everyone will know it was HIS CHOICE!
Thats exactly where i am with this. I have no right to say what he does. What i am surprised is that he is getting cleared for concussions when concussions have ended players careers in the past.
First up, he’s got a better helmet than a guardian cap. Second, it’s amazing how many UFC fans are suddenly worried about Tua. Almost like you’d prefer Miami to just go away.
Why can't the NFL just adopt a brand new helmet that protects the head more and doesn't look like the helmet of the Great Gazoo of Flintstone fame? With today's technology there must be a business out there that can produce a much safer helmet that isn't so big. I have been an advocate of the Guardian Cap for some time now but if a player thinks it looks bad, they're not going to wear it. It's unfortunate that the NFL doesn't make them mandatory in situations where a player has had multiple documented concussions. Tua needs to make sure that he goes back to sliding and not try running into defenders or diving around anywhere. He may feel recovered but concussions are a serious longterm health issue. 🙏
Don't wear the guardian cap. They look absolutely ridiculous and I highly doubt there's any real evidence they actually reduce concussion. This is a nothing move forced by the NFL to *appear* like theyre addressing concussion when in reality, its not possible. We pay these gladiators millions and millions of dollars to take years off their lives for our entertainment. Im okay with that arrangement, so are the players.
F=ma There's your proof that guardian caps work. Don't know what I'm talking about? Then you might want to go brush up on your high school physics textbook. You can dislike the way they look, but saying there's no evidence that they work is a freezing cold take.
Is there actual evidence to support the claim that they do? Reduced concussions in those who wear them? It certainly feels like a feeble attempt by the NFL. To appear compassionate?
@@Cusi.13 They'll reduce the impact, but given the small degree of absorption that'll occur in the ways most QBs get concissions (head hitting the ground on a tackle) the degree to which they help is debatable. Would causing 10% less force to be imparted on the brain prevent a concussion? Probably not unless it was going to be a very mild concussion. Could it cause a really bad concussion to become a moderate one instead? Sure. That said, it's also worth considering the impact it'll have on his play. Not only will the extra weight on his head impact his ability to move, but it can also reduce visibility, and also potentially interfere with his throwing motion. Now, if I was in his shoes, would I wear it? Tough to say. It would depend on how negatively I thought it could impact my play, and if I was more worried about my legacy than my long term health.
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't boxers. Stop wearing the head gear because it was ineffective and showed that they ended up hitting harder with them on as well. As the NHL typically, when they had bigger heavier pads, guys would fly across the ice. And hit each other.
He probably signed some agreement with the NFL where he can’t sue after it’s all said and done. Also old NFL didn’t take the concussion precautions they do today which is where the lawsuits came from.
He said it, he doesn’t care about the complications. I’d say what’s sad is that he’s never going to be an all time great. He seems to believe maybe this decision will give him additional credibility or something.
Look, I respect the passion for the game, but there comes a point when he needs to be honest with himself and realize he may not be built for its longevity. He had an incredible college career and became an NFL starter. That’s already more than most can claim, but get out before the game leaves lasting damage. He's young, has his whole life ahead, and already has the money. Go enjoy it.
Tua's going to single handedly turn the NFL into A 2Hand Touch League if he is veggitized on the field.. I feel bad for all defense players, nobody want to be the one that makes that play.. this is wreckless n selfish
Look, nobody can make Tua change his mind on whether he should wear a guardian cap. Hopefully, this situation makes the NFL realize that they could make a rule saying that if you suffered more than 1 concussion that you HAVE to wear the guardian cap. I get that the helmet already protect a lot, but if this has happened to Tua wearing the most protective helmet, then wearing the guardian cap should be a no-brainer.
Naivety of that statement insinuates you are of the new generation. Look in life there are almost no pure good things, everything has cons and drawbacks or side effects or consequences. That cap will be no different, maybe the weight of cap makes the force of a whipping head striking the ground higher or restricts movement when need be, it is not a cure, hell there isn't even proof that it will significantly help,to me 10% definitely isn't enough to force it on someone.,
Not everyone has that warrior mentality. If no construction workers had it there would be no skyscrapers, if no military had it there would be no freedom or much else. It is ok that everyone doesn't have the "at all cost" mentality, people just need to comprehend that some do and without them life as you know it would not exist.

Exactly what I was thinking.
Bingo. That’s exactly it.
CYOA!
They can't
Guardian cap wouldn't have stopped this last concussion, but learning to QB slide would
While that's true. It's still a countermeasure that would help reduce the chance concussion
@@specter_badguy9675 you got proof?
I really hate being the one who has to say it, but at this point it shouldn't be his choice to make.
Tua should be told, "either you wear the cap, or you don't play in the NFL anymore."
Lmao that’s communism
The same people want to tell me I can't vote for Trump. Let the war begin.
You should really think about all the unhealthy liberties ppl have that we allow them to choose and have substantially bigger impacts on society
I thought that was wild too and called it in game
Dude was out out..and yea, its been brushed under. Sometimes, u gotta save players from themselves
I kind of agree.
I mean Flag Football is going to be an Olympic sport in 2028
Yeah it's a good take and segway to the idea of pro flag football.. An opportunity for retirees, players who never made it's, player even just contract hold outs from the pros to work and love the game. This pro flag league may even provide an arguably more competitive league for the fas to enjoy and gamble on. Big big time out on for this idea, again- Great comment 👏
Tua would enter the pro flag football league as a first ballad HF prospect already 😂
Honestly though we've never seen a QB with his size and power run as angry and as vertically as he does lmao.. watching highlights of Tua act like a one cut back in just impressive tbh
His dad mercilessly beat him as a child for playing poorly. I don’t know why people just brush that off. It’s horrible 😢
What? I never heard that. That's crazy
I remember his dad speaking and he was very dismissive so I don't doubt that he abused Tua.
Its true I just googled it...His desire to keep going makes alot more sense now. This is kind of messed up.
You are being racist. He's Polynesian.
@@nickkavathas8252 Huh??
This will not end well! Several years from now, his whole family will come to regret this decision. Better take out a long term disability insurance policy to help protect his money because the kind of specialized care he might need, really eats away at your funds. Also, step up his investments to grow them exponentially by the time he starts to use them. I wish him well.
Yep and it will al be fake! They’ll happily inherit his money. He’s the sacrificial lamb of his “family”
“Freedom of choice doesn’t mean freedom from consequence”
Love your videos, they keep me up to date with the nfl.
6:48
Yeah, about that… They definitely sound more worried about the contract than about their own son
The helmet is not the problem the guardian cap is just a PR stunt the NFL is using to change the subject your brain is suspended in fluid and when to much force is applied it goes forward and slams against the inner part of your skull it's the game that's the problem not the helmet look it up
100%
He is crazy. Didn’t players sue the NFL years ago for concussions? Shouldn’t the NFL tell him he is done??
He’s being paid very handsomely to play. He’s a grown man making a different decision than you would, a decision that makes plenty of sense. Stop with the concern trolling, it’s weird.
Yes he is crazy but he loves playing football something that he has been doing a long time he just needs to be careful he needs a good offensive line
He is obviously a grown man and can make his own decisions. I just personally think it's a bad decision and would inform my child to hang it up and move on. Again, this is HIS life and if Tua isn't concerned for his own life, why should we be?
@@UnkownSoldier100 trolling???? GFC
that would be an unprecedented move by the NFL and probably not allowed by the NFLPA
Honestly there are players with more concussions than Tua playing right now, his just looks bad why people are crying, if he's cleared its his choice.period.
NFL needs to ask him to sign that he won't sue NFL for his choice once he retires with bad quality of life in the future
and every single player for that matter
@@999yeko Pretty sure that SOMEHOW, our legal system limits the right of anyone to stop lawyers from maximizing their income.
Denzel Ward has had more NFL concussions and they’re about the same age. Tuas situation is getting more recognition than Ward because he’s a QB who had a bad one on prime time, but especially because he’s a QB. I think there’s a bunch of people who already forgot about Xavier Newman, as an update, he’s on IR, but he’s fine thankfully and hopefully everyone is good
Did Ward have these concussions in successive weeks? Did Ward have a massive fencing response every single time? I'm honestly curious.
@@MojMuzykano
It’s not the quantity of concussions it’s the severity and the amount of time between them not all concussions are created equal
The problem is tua 1. Took two concussions within like 5 days. 2. His latest concussion is the result of him making an absolutely terrible decision of putting his head into a defender.
The next concussion could happen in the next game
@@MojMuzyka the fencing response doesn't indicate severity of a concussion.
Tua being 4 years old for the rest of his life might change the NFL for the better and start taking head trauma seriously. Tua can be the change!
It's admirable that he loves this game. But as a viewer, I don't want to see him die live on tv. It is very upsetting.
At least he'll be a strong candidate to star in Simple Jack 2

"For most helmets adding a Guardian Cap, an extra layer of padding, will reduce the force of each blow by somewhere between 10 and 15%," NFL chief medical doctor Allen Sills tells CBS Sports. "Now there is a subset of helmets that we tagged as Guardian Cap optional. And the reason for that was that those helmets in the laboratory testing showed that there really was not additional benefit of that magnitude by adding a Guardian Cap."

His CTE has a mind of its own and it’s currently possessing his body into saying that

Did you see their faces
Is Tua even capable of making sound decisions anymore?
Tua (IMO)is going to be on everyone's hit list (there may be unspoken bounties on him) when he comes back to play football. He should wear a guardian device. It doesn't mean you are weak, unmanly whatever. You want to live and play the game. Wear the device, Tua. The life you save could be your own.
The guardian caps don't do anything. There has been zero research presented. Its just another front to make the NFL look like they care about concussions.
Why would people be out to get him?

LOL @ the "late hit from Matt Milano", that hit wasn't late, it wasn't even a hit. He pushed Tua as he was finishing his throw. Any adult could keep themselves upright, he fell to sell the touch, and then hit his head on the turf/concrete, sounds like game karma to me.
🤨
that push was a full 2 steps after the release , and Tua was going backwards and off balance. I get it wasn't nefarious in nature, he was just wanting Tua to feel his presense, but it was a late hit. Watch the video in slo mo.
he already has cte
I think one component that’s missing, is this is a very islander mentality. To lay it all on the field even in death. Like culturally this makes a lot of sense
Like Vikings, Samurai, Mongol riders, etc. etc.
I have no sympathy for this guy anymore
It's like he wants to sue later
He can’t do that anymore
His estate*
It's probably a hot take but I had a feeling to this headline when I was watching Dan Patrick talk about this a few days back. It really feels like people and to some extent the players themselves have made peace with the fact that they love football more than they care about the consequences of the sport.
Y'all need to blame the NFL for this situation. Coming back and playing after concussions are the standard in the NFL because they've allowed it be for years.
If he wants to play, let him. If he gets hurt its on him...
To the death of me??..... Foreshadowing???
The helmet Tua wears is already guardian rated and won't help with the cap.
One dline player is gonna be like imma kill that dude 😐
The parents basically said "we need him in the league to pay for our lifestyle and house"
He just needs to stop trying to run the ball.
Wrong move for Tua
I think for safety and to avoid potential lawsuits, the NFL should mandatory the g cap once the first concussion takes place.
There is little evidence that supports the use of a guardian cap. Modern helmets provide the same amount of protection.
Basic physics prove that guardian caps help to lessen force to the head. This is an unbelievably stupid comment

He has CTE already. He is making poor decisions
He needs to stop playing recklessly. Just cause you love the game, doesn't mean you can play like an idiot.
Cut corners where you can, let your savings work for you and you can live that care-free life - Most of us don't get that chance, hope he doesn't squander it
Maybe not say "until the death of me"
Unfortunately, individuals can will and do keep looking for people until they find medical doctors and advisors that will say what they want them to even if that's not beneficial for them.
Tua said it himself "I love this game and I love it to the death of me". If wouldn't matter if everyone around him told him he should retire, he is going to play until he physically can't walk onto the field.
I respect the commitment and drive but I really hope he can stay healthy and doesn't regret this decision later in life.
You cant celebrate a TD because kids will become thugs and deal drugs but if you throw up gang signs, you can stay. Great job NFL 👍🏽
EXACTLY!
Tua needs the newest Iron Man suit w/ nano technology...
He is going to turn into a complete vegetable the next time he gets a concussion
I remember when Dale Earnhardt refused to wear a full-face helmet or Hans device. 😢
Video title should be: Tua is about to be in a wheelchair
The most amazing thing is team doctors coming out and saying they aren't worried about him getting another concussion.
F=ma
There's your proof that guardian caps work.
If they did care? They would retire him themselves. But they wont. So it seems his claim is right?
Of course they would say that when that kind of money is on the line😮💨
He said it, he doesn’t care about the complications. I’d say what’s sad is that he’s never going to be an all time great. He seems to believe maybe this decision will give him additional credibility or something.
That’s a bold title lol
How
But a true title
I don’t think it would make a difference either way with the cap on or not, the helmets already been proven the safest one in the nfl for qbs
You should make a make a video that Myles garret might get traded
The guardian cap isn’t nearly as safe as his current helmet, helmet aren’t designed to include the cap
That cap will be no different, maybe the weight of cap makes the force of a whipping head striking the ground higher or restricts movement when need be, it is not a cure, hell there isn't even proof that it will significantly help,to me 10% definitely isn't enough to force it on someone.,
I dont even think a return this season should have been his choice.
Not everyone has that warrior mentality. If no construction workers had it there would be no skyscrapers, if no military had it there would be no freedom or much else. It is ok that everyone doesn't have the "at all cost" mentality, people just need to comprehend that some do and without them life as you know it would not exist.
It's crazy how professional fighters get it done. Especially the ones who get knocked out in spectacular fashion often 😂
