Highest freshwater lake in the world | Tilicho Lake | Annapurna circuit 4919m

- Day 6, we leave Manang to reach our next destination which is Lake Tilicho, the highest freshwater lake in the world. It stands at a height of 4919m, surrounded by mountains and this time of the year covered in knee deep snow.
Walking through the wild terrain, landslide areas and cold wind, we stayed over at Tilicho base camp on day 6 and woke up at 4.30am the other day to avoid the harsh winds at higher altitude. Getting here isn't quite easy because of the steep climb towards the end, when you're already so tired. We made it to the lake in 3hours, took some pictures and quickly made our way to down to the base camp. The winds that came straight through the mountains hit like sharp knives on our way down. Harsh but quite the beauty it is.

Have been there 3 yrs back and soo much memory back watching ur vlog..👍
A terrific trek. My wife and I did this by ourselves in our mid-60s ..A trek from Humde to Kangsar, and then on to Base camp. There was only 1 lodge on the right, and a just completed lodge on the left, brand new No windows yet !! The landslide area was tricky, compared to all the security walls built now. Not a soul in the world, we had Tilichoo to ourselves. One great mystery remains to this day.......The brand new teahouse at the lake was empty, securely locked, and had 5 feet of piled up snow through its length inside !!!! any ideas, anyone ?? ( yes it had a proper roof !!!)

I missed manang trek it was amazing experience. But sadly when we completed trek and we returned to pokhara I had a nose bleeding next morning. It was horrible all of family members were worried but at the end it was all worth it. One life full of experiences to satisfy your soul. Samaya always inspire me to do more.

Tilicho Tal is nowhere near a highest lake in the world. Even in Khumbu there are at least half a dozen lakes higher than Tilicho, all well above 5000m: Imja Thso next to Imja Tsea, highest Gokyo lake and the one on the opposite side of the glacier, all 5 Panch Pokhari south of Amphu Labtsa are about 5400m, one lake south of Kongde Ri also at about 5,5 km. Much higher lakes in Chile.

Tilicho is beautiful. But it is not the highest lake in the world.
Wrong information.... I know more than 5 lakes in Nepal higher than Tilicho, let along worlds highest lake.... Do check your facts...
Singar lake (kajin sara )5026, Annapurna area,is Nepal's new highest lake...
Even Gokyo lake system goes to from 4700 to 5000m...
In world, highest lake is around 6500m in between Peru and Argentina...
Tilicho comes around to be 51st highest lake in world i guess
Get yours facts right
Even in Khumbu there are almost 10 higher lakes than Tilicho Tal, including the highest Gokyo Lakes.
