Such a nice place. When you mentioned the soil for the garden, it reminds me of a story with my wife. During this time we been living on Mactan. My wife said, i need soil for our plants, so we drove to Consolation and bought soil. Then she said, I have soil left but no pots, so we bought pots, after she said i have plants left bit no soil. This were going almost 4 years 🤪 i was happy after we did not have space left around the house. But when we moved to Europe, I counted the plants. I will never forget it was 497 pots of plants. When we moved, we gave all of them to her sister in law in the province. WE NEEDED A TRUCK TO BRING IN THE PROVINCE. Since this time, I love stone gardens. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hey bud loved your video and house tour, wow that singer is about as old as I am born in 1970! Unreal ! Here is Tampa Florida a house like that would be $1500 to $2000 a month to rent. Great deal you got there. Very pretty home. The huge kitchen dining area is so cool!

Just came across your Vlog (thanks TH-cam) One thing that makes me curious about the Philippines is everywhere you look, houses are surrounded by walls and bars. Then all of the doors and windows have bars. It appears to be more of a prison camp than a residential area. And yet people always say its safe, there is little crime. Like I said, curious.

Nice big house there Bud your married longer then me my first marriage was in 1983 in Imus Cavite about 25 miles south of Manila only lasted me 20 yrs second marriage a Cebu Province girl at 19yrs now long time but Cebu ladies are alot better probably because country girls life is different

I think you have bragging rights on the bathroom for the first thing I saw was the water heater which many residences don't have. Hi Bud and Gloria, Bud I am with you, I am not a homeowner. I prefer to rent apartments and have done so all my adult life. I do not mine cutting grass, but however I hate maintenance work. As far as cleaning those cutters I would hire some one to do that for me. Take care of each other, stay safe and healthy. Also try to have fun.

Nice, but too tight, not enough back yard. I choose to stay in USA where snow all winter up in PA and Maine, purchase a 3 or 5 acres for $45,000 with small cabin and plan to build a bigger cabin, plus for seniors close to hospitals and with Medicare and a Tri-care for Life if Retired military, all convenience in US. Not sure about Philippines health care, never know things can change in future, I don't trust anywhere to retire. Good luck to you, hope work out for you in Philippines.

I have a video talking more about it in detail, but to answer your question, it costs 145K pesos (about $3000) Only manual shifting (5 forward gears and 5 reverse gears! plus 5 extra-low gears (Granny gears).

I guess the answer as to why we move is, even though it is tiring at first, we feel we will live a better life after the move. (Also, we have itchy feet syndrome. :=)
