Good start to the day. I’ve been anticipating this colorway since the first photos leaked. This grey/white and cream outsole colorway is too clean. I mean it works on the Sea Salt V3’s, 550’s, and other models that you can’t go wrong wearing. I love em
Was a big fan of these in images, but the cracked leather might be a dealbreaker for me. I hate the stuff and had no idea it was on these which sucks because it’s probably my favorite of the colorways they’ve dropped so far.
As Sean has mentioned it’s lenticular material not patent leather. Also the cracked leather on these is nice. It’s not a shedding type of cracked leather like on say the AMM1s. These use the same materials as the black Patta AM1s. I agree that the tongue isn’t comfortable though. Not meaning to be bad but if you have the time I would almost re-recorded the review given the incorrect information about the materials. I only say that because I fully respect your reviews & opinions.
Just got mine in hand and they are so clean. Aesthetically, they’re my favourite wave am1. Material wise I agree with what you said. Would’ve preferred different materials but can’t complain.
Glad that you mentioned the patent leather tongue. I have the black pair, and the tongue really dug into my ankle area. These are so dope, but I wouldn’t be copping because of the tongue. Great review!
I love the colorway from a distance and up close I like them a little less. But I agree that this is the third best colorway of the bunch and was pleased to get them for retail, albeit with laces in that came with some weird small red stains.

It is supa wearable and clean and I would agree with your ranking of colourways, its just those 3 pairs really and a meh for the black pair. This pair seem to be more limited then the rest unfortunatly or the price might have sunk lower..
blue waves pair is definitely my favorite, but these are closely behind. not a fan of the materials choices so much on this colorway, but it does give it a nice vintage vibe

I saw in a diff video that it’s basically 3 sets of 2. Aqua/Monarch same materials/colours, same for Maroon/Russett, and same colour blocking and use of patent leathers etc. for the Black/White pairs - so it all makes sense
Do you prefer these over the Teddy 990v2 "Sea Salt" or vice versa? They're essentially the same colorway and color blocking, just a different silhouette. I find the v2's to be sleeker looking. I dunno why but the white pair of the Pattas seem bulky on foot to me compared to the other Patta colorways.
Hey Sean great video! Did you happen to get those YCMC 990v3s (M990SC3)? Would love to hear your opinion on them. They aren’t that much different than some of the MiUSAs but they are dope if you ever get them in hand
Is tongue the same type on each air max 1 patta collab? You are the only one who mentions how uncomfortable it is. Air Force 1 x Supreme has the same issue
what do you think is better, these or the 990v2 teddy sea salts? they're very similar so idk and im kind of torn between them. hit on these for retail and don't know if i should sell and cop the 990s lmao
Crazy how people were really hyped for these. I think the orange, blue, brown, and even the maroon pair are far better colourways. Or at least the maroon pair would be, if they didn't go with the massive amount of artificial fading on the upper. The black pair remains the worst of the bunch, though.
@@griezmieee8514 I'm just not a fan of it. It's boring and doesn't show off the wave pattern effectively. Only the first 2 colorways really showed it off well.

Hi Sean! Love the video. Got a question for you as an Air max 1 fan. I got a bunch of deadstock ones from 2017 never worn. I dont think I will get to wear them either until 2024 maybe. Would the midsoles crumble or am I good? If they crumble I am thinking about reselling them.
The mudguard is crafted using “lenticular leather”, which has a similar shine but it is NOT patent leather.
Does it crease like patent leather 😁

Was able to cop off the Patta site. Hesitated for a moment since I have the very similar Teddy Sea Salt v2s but this pair is too nice.
Thought long about those Teddy’s and took an L on these. Which do you like better?

Kind of glad they went with that material on the mud guard because on the monarch’s the suede gets dirty and marked up very easily.
